My unexpected mate

Chapter 5

Damians POV

I tossed and turned again all night, i cant remember the last time i actually had a full nights sleep. From staying up till past midnight either doing paper work or running the boarders and no matter what im always up before 6am. i climbed out of bed and tossed some shorts and top on and grabbed my trainers, i was never going to be able to sleep any more so i may swell go run the boarders before my brothers came. I lived in the packhouse on the top floor and the beta and gamma had the floors under me. They were great guys and very loyal, and they were like family. We all grew up together, and we were all happy and didn't have a care in the world growing up, but then just before i turned 19, we had a horrible rogue attack that killed my parents.

I changed after that, i had to i didn't just have my brothers to take care off I had to step up and become Alpha and i had big shoes to fill. Logan was 16 and Alexander was 11. I closed myself off and tried my best to become the best alpha i could be and in time i became one of the most feared Alphas around. The pack that was next to ours had made a deal with rogues to take down my family to take over my pack and land, and when we found out it took years of planning, but we challenged the Alpha and won then took over his pack, we got rid of the people who stood by the old Alpha who planned to kill my parents and Logan took over the pack and we kind of merged the packs but we both had our own territories but people were welcome to come and go as they please. My brothers and I were all Alpha wolves, so it made more sense for Logan to take over that pack and me to keep mine.

The packhouse was quiet as many people were still sleeping. The only people who were awake were the kitchen staff getting ready to start breakfast. We had a little over 800 members in my pack and then my brothers' pack had just over 600. No one dared mess with either of our packs because it led to them having to deal with us both. Even though my brother has more of a softer side than me, no one dared to stand against us. Not many people outside the pack knew who I was. I normally stayed behind closed doors and let Logan deal face to face with other packs and business. We owned a couple of properties in town that varied from clubs to restaurants and a logging firm.

I know the stories that go round about me but i don't kill people who onto deserve it, but if people want to spread horror stories about me then let them, honestly, I couldn't care what people think about me. A lot of other Alphas started questioning when i would go and find a Luna to lead by my side and more when my brother found her mate. I didn't need my mate or any one else to help me run my pack and most woman only got the nerve to come up to me because they wanted the title but as soon as i let a little of my aura slip they couldn't stand being in my present any longer than a few seconds. The only people who can be around me and not be affected are my brothers and my beta and gamma although it can be unbearable for them at times especially when i loose control of Atlas my wolf and we see red. All them other Alphas can go to hell. We will find our Luna when we are supposed to. Atlas huffed at me. We don't need a mate to lead buddy. I loved my wolf. He was as ruthless as i was and even bigger than most Alpha wolves, and if you didn't know who i was, found him scary as s**t.

I left the packhouse and headed for the tree line and stripped out of my closed and let Atlas take over, once i shifted into my wolf i shook my fur and started running. I never really had a destination of where i was running. I just ran and checked a few places before i made my way back home. After about an hour of running i stopped and started to look around. I knew i was in Opal Moon territory and close to one of the fields to the ranch one of his people had. They were a nice family and i knew if it wasnt for Jack taking in Selene then my brother wouldn't have met his mate. I stopped just in the tree line because i new this was the filed that a herd of wild horses normally came to but what i wasn't expecting was to see a beautiful woman stood in the field just a few feet in front of the leader of the herd.

It was obvious she didn't no i was there and i couldn't help but be glad as i couldn't take my eyes of her. She had beautiful blonde hair tied up in a pony and was in running clothes that showed off her amazing figure. Atlas was going crazy wanting to get closer to her. Enough Atlas what is it that making you go so crazy? I asked him trying to understand the sudden change from my serious wolf to this child like pup. Who are you calling a pup your stupid human, i just want to get closer to her there is just something about her that i cant shake. I rolled my eye at him but it was true there was something about this girl i couldn't seem to shake. She turned and she had the most stunning smile that reached up to her ocean blue eyes i had ever seen. for the first time in a very long time i felt myself smiling to my self awell as in wolf form. I didn't no what i was about this girl but i felt the need to be by her and learn everything about her.

I don't know how long we stood there watching her with that horse, but I could feel a tug on my mind link, I huffed and opened it. What? I said through gritted teeth. Don't what me Damian, where are you? I went to the packhouse and you not here. My brother's voice came through the link and I began to panic, thinking about how long I had been gone for It's not as if I could carry my phone or watch while I was in wolf form. I'll be right there. I said back to him and shut the Link down and took one last look at her and ran back to my territory.

The questions were buzzing around my head all the way back thinking who that girl was and why did i seem so captivated towards her. even now i wanted nothing more than to run back and continue watching her. I wasn't this type of person that was interested in girls or anyone for that matter but there was just something different about her and a sort of pull i had towards her. I shook my head and ran faster to get my day started and vowed to myself i wouldn't spend any more time with silly questions about this mysterious girl.
