Stephen, Karen, Bonny, Sam and Albert searched for a clue of where the way back to their home was, during their wait for Kyle in the tree which was marked, they got exhausted and confused after a long while of their search as they all gave up.
“It's not here, notten, there Is no clue, the way just vanished,” Karen said angrily as she turned back to them.
“It doesn't make sense,” Sa added.
Stephen was deepened in thought still considering what had just happened. “There is no logical explanation for this,” he hesitates as he glances up at them. “The hideous monsters, the secret cave, the ancient people, it passes on my one message which could not be explained logically but it's true,” he continues with his eyes deemed without concentration on a physical body rather his mind was calculative, drifting into the possibility of the unknown.
“What are you talking about Stephen?” Albert interrupts calling him out of his adventurous mindset.
“There is no reasonable explanation for this which means that we should look from a different perspective, What if we ate in the past,” he flitters towards the tree as he touches the markings softly. “Definitely this was where we came in through but as we can see there isn't any visible road home.
“That is ridiculous Stephen,” Bonny approached him as she pointed her index finger to the marking and her gaze on him. “This marking you see here and speak of, is also a physical evidence that we are not in the past. Why would a marking which we saw while coming into this woods still be here if truly we are in the ancient times?”
“That is why it's a mystery,” Albert interrupts as Bonny looks at him. “Maybe it was left behind to make us understand that there was still a passageway kept hidden, a chance for us to return home alive.
“Bullshit!” Sam moved forward without hesitation. “You guys should stop these crazy fantasies and let us walk together in finding our way out.”
“Guys….” Karen calls to have their attention when she spots a large number of orc's little distant from where they were but they were not attentive to her as they kept arguing about the passage way. “Guys!” she turns back at them as when they hear her serious tone they stopped shifting their gaze to her. “We have to leave this place because those monsters are not quite distant from us anymore,” she turns again towards the direction she saw them as Sam, Bonny, Stephen and Albert trace their gaze to that direction.
“Quick we have to leave before they spot us,” Stephen insists so they all quietly left the tree and was headed towards another direction far away from the orcs.
After a long walk they made It out of the woods as ahead of them was a deserted place as there were no trees and the sand was as dust as it looks yellowish in color.
“This place is full of surprises,” Albert sighed when he gazed far into the endless sight.
“What do we do now?” Bonny asks as she turns towards Sam since he was the one leading the forward.
He stares also into the long and broad road as he was uncertain if the road was one which would have an end, after a while of contemplating he looked at her. “I think we should move forward, since at least we made it out of the woods, maybe if we keep going we might In some way find a familiar road,” he replies but within him he knows that the environment alone was a pure figure and proves they were really lost.
“I'm already starving and very thirsty,” Karen groans as Sam looks at her.
“We all are, but we have to survive,” we must,” he glances forward again. “Maybe we might find shade a little further.”
“It doesn’t seem like that will happen,” Bonny said as she pushed her hair backwards.
“Let’s move on,” Sam takes steps forward as they all follow him.
Kyle's feet made slight noises due to the cranky sounds of the dried leaves on the floor in the woods as he kept moving forward, heading to the direction the marked tree was since that was the place he was to meet with his friends.
After a long walk he finally arrived at the tree as he noticed they were not there, he searched around with his eyes moving from one side to another as he turned around but still he wasn't able to lay eyes on them.
‘They promised to wait here till I arrive, they cannot possibly have left me,’ he thought to himself as a negative feeling gripped him, staring up at a different point of view.
‘What if they never arrived in the first place, what if the orc's caught them even before they could make it here,’ his silent thoughts made his eyes spring wide in surprise as his thoughts made him exhausted.
Right there he made a decision to return to the orc's cave and check out if they were there even though it would be walking into the lion's den a second time after his first escape.
When he took a step forward he felt something solid under his feet which caught his attention due to a brief c***k sound, he glanced downward as he took off his foot and his eyes came in contact with Karen’s silver necklace which he remembered her putting on before their arrival on the beach.
He stoops down gently, taking up the necklace in his hand as he lifts it up before his face gazing intensely at the pendant.
“This is definitely Karen's necklace, which means that they were here, ” he whispers to himself as he sticks the necklace into his side pocket then glances down with an intent to find more trails as he notices the footprint of an orc.
He looks a little further again as his eyes make contact with more footprints, the more he looked the more he saw a larger number of them.
Seeing this he thought they had been captured but not until he noticed a human footprint sideways. He moved closer then bent down closely examining it as after and while he realized it was the footprint of a lady and tracing the steps backward he saw more trails which were now mixed up and that was when he suspected they got away.
