Sam and the others had traveled far In the sandy and broad road as the more they moved the more endless it seemed.
“I can’t do this anymore,” Karen stoops down as she rests her palm on her kneecap with a heavy exhale following. Her throat went dry as she was panting for thirst.
“Come on Karen, if we continue this way we won’t be able to make it,” Sam said.
“Let her be, we’ve already traveled a long way so we should take some rest, whereas it's almost getting dark,” Bonny said as Sam took his gaze off them.
Albert who was listening to them got distracted by his thought when he remembered that they earlier promised to wait for Kyle in the tree.
His eyes sprints wide, frightened by what might have happened to him as he lifts his gaze up at them. “guys… I think we have some kind of situation at hand,” he said as they turned towards him.
“What is it Albert?” Sam asks when he saw startled countenance.
“We promised to wait for Kyle beside the tree,” he told them as they were all startled at what must have happened to him.
“Gush… how could we possibly have forgotten this,” Bonny exclaims as she turns around angrily.
Their resentment was directed at Sam for leading them out of the forest.
“This was all your fault,” Stephen turns towards him angrily.
“What?” Sam furrowed his eyebrows as he was filled with indignation at Stephen's comment. “How can you blame me for that?”
“Yeah, I can,” Stephen takes two quick steps towards him as Sam clenches his fist tightly. “It was your fault, we were never supposed to leave the forest in the first place but we did because you took us out,” he points angrily at him.
“Blame me for that once more…” Sam gives him a constrained gaze as his eyes burns In anger.
“Can we just stop for a while, we have to be decisive about this instead of starting up a fight,” Karen interrupts as she shifts her gaze to each of them.
“This is ridiculous,” Bonny glanced up at them.
“We can't go back,” Karen mutters to herself as she takes her gaze up to them again. “Guy we cant go back, its going to be suicide,” she speak up this time as they turn towards her.
“What?” Albert exclaims softly as he slightly frowns his face.
“Why would you say that?” Stephen asks her.
“It's not as if I don’t want that but it took us a long time to get here…” she said with a slight shaking In he tone.
“A time not up to a day, if you were the one who was lost and it took us two days to get here Kyle would not want us to leave you behind, but look at you, just some hour journey….” Albert said to her.
“She is right,” Sam speaks up again as they all shift their gaze to him. He glanced up at them. “We can't go back, we have to keep moving,” he said as he loosens his clenched fist. “I Kyle was he wouldn’t want us to come back for him, he will take care of himself and find us later, but for now we have to keep moving forward.”
Immediately Sam Made an end to GI statement Stephen's anger was kindled against him as without hesitation he moved to Sam giving him a striking punch on the face.
Bonny, Karen and Albert panicked when this was done as Albert flitters to Sam's side holding him back from retaliating.
“Sam, calm down,” Karen said as she and Bonny also moved toward him but they didn't touch him.
Sam’s anger rises tremendously as his countenance could show all his despicable intent about Stephen and also his cruel thought.
Sam was someone who gets angry quickly as at an angered state he was able to do anything, this was the part of his personality which his friends had been trying to help him gain control over.
It would have gotten a lot worse if the others hadn’t intervened.
Sam takes a deep breath to calm himself down. “Let go of me,” he said after a while as Karen looked him in the eyes and when she noticed his anger was suppressed she signaled Albert to loosen his hold.
“You should be thankful to them,” Sam turns forward again. “We are not going back again, that is my decision and if any of you object I will lay my fury on you…”
Stephen chuckles slightly with his gaze directly at Sam as Karen walks towards him and touching him slightly she follows Sam.
“Guys, what about Kyle, we can’t just leave him behind,” Albert speaks up.
“Come on, I think Kyle can find his way,” Bonny also followed Karen and Sam.
Deep in the desert the sound of swords clashes against each other as it resounds in the calm city of Morag, two trained defenders and determined protectors of the walls which shields the city from the outside world were having a duel, Nathan and Daniel by name.
The place was set, the other armies in their numbers sat staring at them with one of their chief leaders supervising the fight.
Ten lamps were lit on ten lampstands as each was one corner on every side behind them in circles.
“Nathan is a fierce fighter,” one of the soldier's whispered to another who was also seated at his side.
“Yeah, indeed he's good with the sword but Daniel is dreadful whenever he fights with his hands,” the second soldier replies.
“What soldier is it that lets down his sword for a hand fight?” another soldier who overheard their conversation said as they both turned towards him.
“At times it's necessary,” the first soldier replies.
“Necessary you say,” the third soldier looked forward again.
“That is enough,” their chief spoke to Nathan and Daniel when their swords clashed for the last time as they pressed it against each other with their steady gaze looking directly into their eyes.
They both took off their swords, taking it to their sides.
“That was a good fight but not impressive, you two should become better,” the chief commander after his comment turns again to other soldiers. “Next…” he said as two soldiers walked out while Nathan and Daniel left the scene together.
“One of these days you will show me how you do that skill you pulled out on me earlier, it was really impressive,” Daniel glanced sideways at Nathan as Nathan chuckled as they kept walking forward.
“I learnt it from my father, he was a good swordsman,” Nathan replied with his gaze forward. “So what about you, your father was the late commander and also an incredible swordsman,”
Daniel sprints his eyebrows as he looks forwards again. “I would like to be like him one day.”
“He was indeed a hero,” Nathan affirms and after a few steps he looks again at Daniel. “Do you believe the legends were true?” He asked.
“There was so much the legends had to say, but of which do you speak about?”
“The existence of dragons,” Nathan said.
“The others felt a little agreeable but about the dragon was one thing I still disbelieve. But who knows,”
“It was scripted that there will be the arrival of six teenagers as that would be the first proof,” Nathan continues.
“Please let's stop the pep talks about those fables, we have a war at hand and we can't live, hoping that one day six teen's will fall from the sky and when they come, will help us out,” Daniel interrupts.
