They traced the footprints of the orc's following the trails as they got to the point the trials vanished.
"What now…" Saul groaned as he turned around in frustration.
"Shih… can you hear that?" Frank said silently as they looked at him.
"What sound?" Gilbert whispered as a shattering sound came from a distant part in the woods then they all collided their bodies together with their gaze in different directions as none of them knew where the sound came from.
Everyone was still on the Hench looking around incase of any tremendous sight, to alarm the others.
Few minutes later Kelvin captured a slight movement very distant from where they were as he strained his gaze in that direction but all he could see was a blur shadow. "I think I see something," he said to the hearing of the others.
"What is It," Frank looked partially back at him.
"I'm not all that certain, although it looks like the shadow of someone, maybe a monster," he replied in a whisper as they all turned to see what he was speaking about.
"There," he pointed at the shadow as they all headed to the direction to see what it was.
As they were slowly approaching the place they figured out it was like someone was hiding behind a tree and as a result of the sunlight the shadow of the subject was reflected on the opposite side the rays were coming from.
"Go, check it out," Gilbert whispered to Saul as Saul sneaked toward the tree from behind.
Before Saul could check who it was, a chattering sound came from the right side of the forest as Gilbert, Frank and Kelvin turned only to see Kyle running and the three orc's which were still after him.
"It's a child," Saul looked back at them as now they were faced with two options, either to help the child or go after the orc's.
"Saul, you should see that the child returns to safety while we will go after the orc's," Frank told him then looked again at the direction Kyle and the orc followed. "Come on we have a person to save," he ran off as Gilbert and Kelvin followed him.
Kyle ran as fast as he can as he arrived at a cliff then halted quickly. ‘This seems like a dead end,’ he thought to himself as his heart raced and swiftly he turned back. Luckily he had no sight on the orc as he fluttered his eyes around and when there was still no sight of the orc he spotted a safe spot a little distant and when was about taking a step forward he heard a chattering sound from inside the woods as the sound was directed towards him.
He flinched, taking his gaze to the direction the sound came from as his eyes made contact with the orc's as they stopped before him.
They stared at him cruelly as they took a few steps towards him.
Kyle with his gaze still on them took two steps backwards as he got to the edge of the cliff and when he was about to slip held his stamina.
He glanced back downward as he considered the height, he knows that there was no way a person would fall off the cliff without loosing his life in the process, it was a complete suicide.
He was startled when he heard the orcs again then he turned back at them as they spoke in their language and he was not certain of what they were saying to themselves but from their expression he was sure it wasn't good.
They turned again to him as they made more slow steps.
“If you come any closer again I will drop from the cliff,” Kyle said aloud as they stared at him cruelly. He threatened them with my life because he suspected they were supposed to bring him back alive.
Nevertheless it wasn't as he expected as they still kept moving forward. After the orcs had taken more two steps forward they were distracted by another chattering sound from the woods as Kyle saw Gilbert, Kelvin and Frank jump from the woods with three sharp woods as they pierced the wood into the head of the orc's and in then process of the swift action Kyle slipped from the edge as he falls off the cliff.
He was speared as he swiftly took hold of the edge, he clenched his feet tightly on it as he tried to get back up but since he wasn't balanced he was unable to pull himself.
He glanced downwards again as the sight was dreadful. There were so many hard rocks below and there was no water as it was stony down there, the view was frightening as he looked up taking his gaze to his both hands which were about to slip off.
“No,” he whispers again when his fingers ached as due to that he lost stiff hold on the edge and he panicked.
“Hey there…” Gilbert said when he made his way at the edge before Kyle.
“Help me up,” Kyle said without hesitation.
“Yeah…right,” Gilbert quickly took hold of his hand as he pulled him on the cliff again.
Kyle fell back to the floor with his eyes to the sky as he took a deep breath of relief, he thought that was his end but he was spared.
“This is the most terrific day, and also the most beautiful,” he whispers to himself followed by another sharp exhale.
“You should be grateful we came for your rescue if not you would have been a dead man by now,” Gilbert shakes the dust off his cloth as Kyle looks at him.
Without further hesitation after Gilbert's statement Kyle stands on his feet then turns towards him. “seriously…” he jerks, shifting his gaze sideways and again at him. “You said I should be grateful, Who's fault was it that put me in this condition in the first place?” he stares more strictly at him.
“Okay, you're right, we owe you one, but you also would have died if not that we arrived here on time,” Gilbert said after a sharp exhale.
“We have to leave,” Felix interrupts them in a loud tone as they look sideways at him. “Gilbert, I think we should get back to Saw, remember we left him behind.
“Actually we asked him to take the child to safety,” Kelvin who was standing beside Felix said to him gently.
“He’s right I should go,” Gilbert said to Kyle then walked towards Felix and Kelvin who just turned to leave.
