Escape

"Wait," Kyle stopped them when they were about to leave through the tunnel as they turned back towards him. "Come, we have to go Kyle," Albert said to him in a whisper. "You are already leaving, what about us?" One of the prisoners asked sadly. "Please, you have to help us." He continued. "Please my mother will be worried about me, she sent me on an errand and on my way back I was caught by the orc's, please don't leave me here," one of the little girl's who was in the first cage cried out as all the prisoner's began pleading for help. Kyle turned back towards Stephen as Stephen stared at him for a while. "Okay, here," he threw the key to Kyle then he caught it. "Kyle," Stephen called, then he looked up at him. "No matter what happens, you have to make it out of here alive, we would be waiting for you by the tree we saw the marking earlier," Stephen said to him as he turned back towards the prisoner's. Kyle hurried to the first cage then opened it as he handed the key over to one of the prisoner's, then instructed him to open the other cages as he was about to leave. "Wait," one of the prisoners called Kyle as Kyle turned back at him. "If you go through the way you came you will be caught," he said to him then hesitated for a while. "I think I know a more safe exit." Kyle moved towards him. "Where is it?" He asked. "It is a little hidden so you will need a guide, so let me take you through," he insisted. "If I may ask, how did you know of such a place if you are being held hostage," Kyle asked him because he wasn't sure if he was trustworthy. "I have been here for a very long time now so I know the routes, only that I wasn't given a chance to escape," he replied as Kyle took two steps closer. "You did not answer my question. If you were locked up in the cage, how would you know the exit?" Kyle repeated his question. He stared at Kyle for a moment. "We were being sent outside once in a while for labor.." He was speaking as one of the prisoner's came to Kyle. "We have to leave now, the orc's have discovered the missing key," the prisoner said as Kyle shifted his gaze back towards the other man who offered a different way out. "Fine, lead us to this exit, but if you do something stupid you will pay dearly for it," Kyle threatened him as he nodded. "Here, the prisoner's are all out," the young man Kyle instructed to open the cages interrupted as he handed the key over to Kyle. "Follow me," the other prisoner said as they all went with him through the tunnel. They got to a point inside the tunnel as he stopped then pointed at a smaller tunnel which Kyle did not realize was there earlier when he came in with Stephen. "That Is the hidden exit," he said, then turned towards Kyle. It was so small that one will have to crawl in order to pass through. "After you," Kyle said to him as he made his way into the tunnel, followed by the other's. Kyle waited until everyone was in to ensure no one was left behind, then I crawled into the tunnel following them behind. Some minutes later, we made it to the end of the tunnel as we all came out. The tunnel led a way out into the forest as Kyle looked around then noticed that their exit was a medium hole he saw earlier when he and Stephen arrived at the orc's cave. 'Amazing,' he thought to himself then looked at the people as they were all excited. "Thank you, I really appreciate your help, and I wonder how we can repay you," one of the prisoners, who looked a little older, said to him. "There is no need for that, any gentleman would do the same, whereas if not for his help we wouldn’t have been able to make it out alive," Kyle turned towards the young man who showed them a hidden exit, then shifted his gaze at the entrance into the cave as he saw the other five prisoners which ran out earlier sneak out of the large tunnel. "Yet your friends left, but you stayed behind to help us, if what you say is true then not everyone is a gentle man like you," the young boy Kyle gave the key earlier said to him as Kyle turned back towards him. Kyle stared at him for a moment as he took a few steps closer. "What is your name?" Kyle asked. "Thomas," he replied. "Well, this is how I will remember you all, by his name Thomas," Kyle said to the people, then looked back at the five prisoners as seven orc's withstood them knocking them down on their way into the woods. "You guys have to leave quickly," he turned back towards the people. "Wouldn't you be coming with us?" Thomas asked. "Not yet, I have some people to help," Kyle replied. "Then let me assist you," Thomas insisted but Kyle thought the idea was not a bright one so he rejected it. "Being safe is as much a compensation for my kindness," Kyle told him then turned towards the orc's which were taking the five boys back into the cave. "Alright, let's go," the older man said to them. "I hope we will meet again," Thomas said again to Kyle as he turned towards him then back at the cave as he ran towards the tunnel. Kyle waited for sometime to ensure that the other prisoners who he rescued had escaped before making his move "Hey," Kyle shouted at the orc's to have their attention as they turned back at him. One of the orc's alarmed the others as they dropped the five prisoners, then he shifted his gaze at the five boys as he gave them a sigh to get away as fast as possible then he turned around making his way into the forest as the orc's chased after him. "Frank, we have to leave quickly," one of the young boys said as he hurriedly got up. "No Gilbert," Frank said to him as Gilbert turned back at him. "Someone is in danger because of us we have to do something to help," he said. "Frank Is right," one of the boys, Orden, said to Gilbert. "For me I think we have to leave," Saul, another one of the five boys, said as he stood up and dusted his clothes. "If we must agree on this we have to go by a vote," Frank said as they all agreed. "If you insist we help him lift your hand," he said as he and Orden lifted up their hands. "Okay, if you insist we go away, put up your hand," Gilbert said as he and Saul raised their hands up. "Well I think it is a draw," Gilbert said to Frank. "No, we still have one Vote. What do you think we do Kelvin? Should we help him or leave?" Frank asked as he looked at Kelvin who was making some silly carvings on the floor. "Well about that I would have disagreed, but if he had not intervened we would not have been standing here to make votes," Kelvin dusted his cloth then lifted his face at them. "So for that reason I insist that we help him out," he said. "Fine, let's go," Gilbert said as they all went after the orc's.
