Chapter 6: After Hours (3) *** "Hello~ Where's my baby boy Joe?" Lori entered the room with a smile, not bothering to knock on the door. He locked eyes with the man. "Lori? What are you doing here?" Uncle Joe, instantly stood up from his seat. It was like his sulking was cut short because of the man's presence. "Isn't it obvious? I came to see you... Gosh you and that boy are all the same... Always asking why I'm here..." Lori remarked as he approached the man and hugged him. Hesitantly Joe also returned the hug. "Did... you see Kisa? Talk with hiim?" Uncle Joe asked as he looked away. He had a worried look on his face that told the other man all he really needed to know. "Yes, I did and he seemed a little bit down because you two fought. He said he wanted to apologize as well..." Lori explained as he released the man from the hug, he then brushed aside the bangs away from Joe's face, revealing the man's forehead underneath. "...so what about you? Ready to apologize for whatever you fought for?" "It wasn't really a fight..." Jose remarked as he stepped back and fixed his bangs, making them cover his forehead again. His biggest insecurity was the size of his forehead, it was something that he'd been mocked for and bullied for most of his teen years before he started hiding it. "The truth is... Kisa has grown up now... and he's becoming more and more reckless with each day. I don't want to see him hurt, but it feels like I can't do anything to help him anymore... he's not the small child I had to take care of..." Joe explained, his eyes went downwards as he avoided eye contact with the man. His voice was lower than usual and his hands felt cold as if he was afraid. "Of course he'd grow up! He's a man now... not a kid so you don't get to treat him like one." Lori chuckles as he patted Joe's head and smiled at him. "Kisa's strong, he'll do just fine on his own, what are you worrying so much about?" "That's the thing... he's an Omega... how on earth is he supposed to be out there on his own? That's what we fought about... I told him it was time to find a mate that could protect him..." Jose said as he looked away once more, he felt bad now that he'd mentioned that out loud. "I see..." Lori scratched the side of his head as if he wasn't completely sure what to say next. 'He's really been thinking about it... not that I can blame him...' He thought to himself as he grabbed onto Joe's hand. "Listen..." Lori said in a low whisper. "You've done all that you can to raise him and you did a wonderful job... So whatever Kisa decides to do with his life from now on... you can do nothing but support him... That's it..." "......." Joe's eyes widened a bit as he didn't expect the man to grab his hand. He looked up finally meeting Lori's eyes. "You're... right... I guess I shouldn't meddle into whether he finds a mate or not..." He said in a low and thoughtful voice. "Good, good!" Lori remarked with a silly smile. "So now that I solved your issue, how about we head to bed together?" He asked while giving the man a rather seductive glance, bringing Joe's hand up to his lips and kissing Joe's middle finger, then gently biting on it. "Huh? Huuh?!" Joe seemed shocked as he pulled back his hand, looking confused as ever. "Hahahaha... you're adorable when you act shy!" Lori laughed heartily after seeing the man's embarrassed expression. Joe was bright pink in the face, all the way to his ears. "I just wish you'd be a little bit more assertive sometimes..." Lori said as he tilted his head to the side. "I don't want it to feel like I'm forcing you to sleep with me... It would be nice if both of us enjoy it..." "I-it's not that I don't..." Joe hesitated to speak. 'Why does he always make me confess to things like these? It's so incredibly embarassing...' He thought to himself as he struggled to find his next words. "It's alright... I know you like it." Lori leaned forward, his face getting closer to the man as if he was about to kiss him. Joe instinctively closed his eyes as if preparing for it, but Lori simply smiled. "I would never do something you dislike or don't want..." He said in a low whisper right in front of the man's face. Jose slowly opened his eyes, realizing the man wasn't going to kiss him. He looked away. 'He's standing so close as if he's trying to read my mind or soemthing...' He thought to himself while looking at every other direction in the room he possibly could, all to avoid meeting the man's eyes. "Hey... what do you say we go out tomorrow? I know you're all awkward doing it here when the kid is downstairs... so what do you say we go somewhere else?" Lori asked with a pleasant voice and Joe finally looked at him. He hesitated for a bit but then nodded his head. "...yeah..." He said in a small voice. "Oh... it really does look like I'm forcing you..." Lori stepped back, giving the man some space. "You don't have to agree if you don't want to, you know? It's not like we have to do it or anything... I just thought we could since we have time and-" Suddenly Lori felt the other man grab him and kiss his lips. "Mh...mhm..." Joe initiated the kiss as if trying to show something to the man. As they both stepped back and looked at each other, he finally spoke up again. "I do want to go... it's just embarrassing when you speak about it so openly..." ".......?" Lori had this blank look in his eyes as he listened to the man. "You know... it's dangerous to just kiss me like that... How about we do it now instead, huh??" He asked as he held onto the man's waist and slowly moved his hand downwards. "No way!" Joe quickly pulled the man's hand aside and dug his nails into the man's palm. "Ouch... you're brutal..." Lori remarked as he looked down at his now injured hand. His small wound was rather insignificant and it healed quickly. "You're always so pushy..." Joe remarked as he headed to the kitchen. "Do you want to help me make something for dinner? If you're staying that is..." "Are you inviting me to stay over?" Lori asked with an excited voice, you could almost see the non existent tail wagging behind his back. "Of course, but you'll be sleeping on the couch..." Joe said as he gestured to the man to help him in the kitchen. "Good enough for me!" Lori said with an excited voice as he took off his jacket and rolled up the sleeves of his button down shirt. "What are we cooking tonight?" "Chicken with rice..." Joe remarked as he began measuring out and pouring the rice in a big bowl. Then he handed it to the man. "The kid's favorite?" Lori asked in a low voice, he didn't sound disappointed but you could tell he was a bit jealous it wasn't his favorite meal that the man wanted to make. "If I don't make him meals every once in a while, he'll probably survive only on sandwhiches..." Joe said as he sighed and began seasoning the chicken while Lori washed the rice. "I guess that's true... then yet I was hoping the two of us would eat alone..." Lori said as he slumped his shoulders. 'Doesn't matter... I'll just take him away tomorrow and there will be no one to interrupt us...' He thought to himself with a self satisfied grin on his face...
