After the whirlwind marriage, they went their separate ways.
The lawyer and the judge, who seemed to know each other, were the first to depart.
Gellie, who still cried softly while the judge tied the knot between Blake and Fei, was quietly taken away by Uncle Doc.
When only the three of them was left behind, Fei did not know what was expected of her. She watched the two men talk to each other with hushed voices.
She started feeling the heavy weight of her decision.
What had she done? Blake Walker was a complete stranger!
Your father needed help! He had to live!
Fei was nauseous. She had not eaten a bite since breakfast this morning. Everything went black...

Blake glanced back to where Fei was sitting docilely.
He had never met a woman who could be silent but sharp-tongued when provoked.
All the women he met in his life always fawn on him only to partake from his considerable wealth.
Blake Walker was a millionaire when his father died. He had inherited a large estate--and the responsibility to several divorced wives. All were clamoring for their portion of the wealth his father had left behind.
Thankfully, Blake Senior had only one son.
The widows were dispatched easily. Blake Junior paid a million dollars each. They signed papers happily.
It was a lesson that stuck to his mind up to this day. 'Give money to women, have them sign, and your conscience is clear!'
Blake Walker remained free and boundless. He lived like a vagabond. He visited various places. He sailed from different seas.
The best for him was living on his yacht. He wrote books while in the middle of the ocean.
And luck was with Blake because Roy Galvez, who was a college buddy of his, was a literary editor.
"Hey, Blake! Your story is fresh! Readers will love this!" Roy had exclaimed excitedly when he read the first manuscript. "Do you want a penname?"
"Why not? Hmm, 'The Walk' is something intriguing?" Blake decided nonchalantly.
"Okay. Let's try 'The Walk'. Cheers!"
That was five years ago. After eight books, Blake Walker became a billionaire. 'The Walk' captured many readers' imagination and interest through his riveting stories.
During one of his jaunts to Asia, he encountered a woman. Her name was Tisha Montes. When he introduced himself as Blake Walker, she went very pale.
"B-blake! You are my son!"
Because Blake was his father's son, he did not believe Tisha instantly. They had a DNA test.
"Oh, Blake! I thought we will never see each other again!" Tisha embraced him very tightly. She cried on his wide chest shamelessly.
"Mother, you can live with me," Blake invited her.
"I'd like you to meet my other son, Blake," Tisha said joyfully. "Teo, here is your long-lost brother! Blake, this is Teo--Teofilo Montes!"
"Brother! It's nice to meet you! At last, I have a big brother!" Teo was a nice man. He was simple and innocent. He spoke frankly to Blake from day one and remained the same every time they met.
Blake gave his mother a modest house and a large nest egg. She could afford to retire with a companion.
To Teo, who was a marine biologist, Blake gave an extravagant gift--a seven-foot yacht.
"This yacht will forever be my most precious possession because my big brother gave this to me!"
And because Tisha and Teo Montes were family for Blake, he visited them frequently.
One of his visits brought bad luck in the form of Chloe De Guia. She was his mistress for several months.
"Darling Blake, I am off to Caribbean. I'd like to take a hitchhike on your boat!"
"You mean, 'yacht', my dear Chloe!" Roy cut in sarcastically. Roy disliked Chloe at first sight!
"Oh, whatever!" Chloe waved her hand away. She was willing Roy to disappear.
But Roy kept close to Blake during the trip. He snapped at Chloe whenever she made a wrong comment.
"Look at the fish!"
"That's a dolphin!"
"Dolphin or fish, it is the same!"
"Oh, there's a bird!"
"That's a seagull, Chloe!"
"Aw, Roy! You're such a killjoy!"
Blake ignored the bickering between the two. He was bored with Chloe playing stupid all the time when he suspected that she was shrewd and cunning...
They met with Teo in the middle of the Pacific.
"Big brother! What a surprise! We are studying the coral reefs here. Where are you going?" Teo was all smiles and very brown. He was topless and wore only cut-off shorts. He looked like a glistening god of the ocean.
"Oh, this and there," Blake replied unflappably. "You've met Roy. Chloe is just a passenger."
Chloe was hurt because they have been lovers for months but she did not show it. The smile she directed to Teo was sparkling and scintillating. Her wide lips aimed to enchant.
And Teo, being an innocent man, fell for Chloe--hook, line, and sinker.
"I'll be happy to have you as passenger, Chloe!" Teo murmured breathlessly.
"Oh, really, Darling Teo? I'm off to the Caribbean but I can spend a few days here with you!"
Blake had sailed away with a heavy heart that day.
A few weeks later, the news that Teo and Chloe got married reached Blake.
He avoided going back. He just sent a large check as wedding gift. He did not want to see the two of them kissing and whispering sweet nothings to each other's ears.
Blake could not understand himself. Was he envious? Was he jealous?
They had a child. Her name was Thea. Every birthday, Blake sent a gift and a fat check without looking at her picture.
Every time, the feeling of envy and jealousy intensified. In the end, he did not want to know the real reason.
It was really late when he found out what was the cause of the heavy feeling...
"Blake, I've been hounded by producers lately. They want a meet-up with you..." Roy's voice faded when Blake's attention went to Fei.
"She had fainted!" Blake shouted when her body started to fall sideways limply. He ran to her and, fortunately, caught her before she fell on the floor.
Beneath the over-sized scrub uniform, Blake was startled to feel Fei's slender body. His arms carried a lightweight!
"Roy, lead us to the car!" Blake instructed urgently. He stared at her very pale face while striding to the wide doors of the hospital.
"Okay!"
The hospital's hall was full of people but they were oblivious to them. There were several car accidents. Almost all were patients with injuries.
Fei was still out when they reached the car. She was unconscious when they sped away into the dark, moonless night.
