TORTURED

ELLA'S POV I stayed up all night and barely had a good sleep before I dozed off. “Rrrrnnnnggggg.” The alarm rang, jerking me up from my sleep. “Good morning to you too Ella.” Liya, who was also my roommate, greeted. As she applied some lip balm. I checked the time and it was seven a.m I still had about two hours. Sensing my intended question, Liya said, “I need to finish off some of my assignments in the library and also check up on Rio.” She said, I stretched and reached for my hair bonnet from my rack. “I'll check up on him before class today.” I was about to step into the bathroom when Liya called out to me. “Ella…” her voice was quiet and full of pity. I held my breath and turned to face her. I already knew what she wanted to say, so I pressed my lips together. She stood up from her dresser and inched closer to me. “First of, I want you to know I'm proud of you. What you did yesterday, is a feat nobody dares to conquer.” She pulled me into a brief hug. “Please don't tap out and leave the school…please.” I scoffed. It would take a whole lot for the Lycans to tear me down. My relationship with Dad already had a strain. I wasn't sure I'd get my wolf and tapping out from this school was that last straw that would break the camel's back. Liya gave me a soft squeeze on my shoulder, “See you in class.” The Lycan flashed me a smile and headed out of the room. On a normal day, I should sit in front of the mirror and wallow in self pity, but I was already out of time. If I wanted to see Rio, then I better get moving. I had a quick bath, wiped myself dry and slipped into my uniform. A white button down shirt and a navy blue jacket that had a wolverine crest pinned on the left breast. A navy blue flare skirt that showed a good amount of thighs. I was 5’11 and a great deal of my legs popped out. Liya had often complimented my long athletic legs but I didn't particularly like my business in the public eyes. I slipped into my white socks and settled for a black ballet shoes. One final satisfactory glance at the mirror and I was out the door. Shit! I looked down at my legs as I felt a thick slimy substance underneath my feet. You've got to be kidding me! A great amount of glue was splattered right in front of my door. “The miserable freak walked right into the trap.” Someone said from the hallway snickered, followed by the sound of their footsteps. I whipped my head to the side when the sound of clicking tongues reached my ears. “You're so done for now, loser.” Cathy. Cathy Mendelez. The IT girl of the entire moonstone academy. Cathy held the other girls wrapped around her fingers. Her parents were the second wealthiest Lycan and she paraded herself as the next Luna of the moonstone pack. Last year, the Triplets had brought her to the annual school dance as their date. Of course, the whole school was expecting the same thing at the upcoming school dance which was a week from now. The brunette, flanked by two of her minions stood in front of me, hands crossed over her chest as she glared daggers at me. “You skank. I've always known you're nothing but a bad dream.” Her eyes narrowed as a deep scowl rested on her face. “One, I'd take pleasure in getting rid of.” She pulled me by my ponytail and dragged me forcefully. Cathy's impact was so strong that when I moved, the glue pulled out the sole of my shoes. The two girls giggled as one went over and picked my shoes. “This is what you get when you wear something fake.” one said and the rest bursted out laughing. “Cathy. Let. Me. Go.” I bit out the words, as pain wracked my entire body. The other girls seemed to hear the ruckus and started coming out of their room to feed their curiosity. My cheeks flamed with humiliation when they pulled out their phones to record. A growl rattled Cathy's throat as she continued dragging me. She didn't stop until she dragged me to the den and shoved me to the ground. I panted, anger and pain running through my veins in equal waves. I staggered to my feet when a strong hand pulled me back down. The first thing that greeted me was a pair of sparkling white designer converse, my eyes slowly trailed up to meet Roman who leveled me down with a cold stare. He tilted his chin and two students walked up to me and held me up, so we were standing face to face. Standing three feet away was Harper. Just then, Cathy edged closer and stood beside him, resting her elbow on the blade of his shoulders. “I told you, bringing this thot out wouldn't be much of a big deal,” as she spoke, she batted her eyelids. Bleh! Gag me. Cathy turned to face me, her eyes red, turning wolf. “Give me the opportunity and I'll make her regret her very existence.” She ran a loose finger through her hair. “It would be easy peasy for her to tap out.” A kind of energy I had not noticed in my entire life welled up inside of me and the urge to fight back filled me. “Good luck making me tap out!” The words fell out before I could think. Harper's eyes filled with curiosity while Cathy flinched. Cathy's claw sliced out, she let out a loud howl and lunged at me, throwing me off balance. I landed hard on my back as a sharp object hit me hard. Ouch! That hurt. I winced in pain as the coppery taste of blood filled my mouth. Yes, the world did revolve around the Lycan triplets. More laughter filled the air. I tried to get back on my feet, but the pain kept me back down. My vision slowly became blurry, but the last thing I wanted was to black out in their presence. They could do the unthinkable, perhaps throwing me off the highest building. ‘Stay awake Ella. Hold on.’ a tiny voice kept pushing me. A shadow encroached my space. “What do we have here huh?” Roman's whizzed. “I thought you were the brave one who could stand up to the Caviers.” It was a struggle staring with the migraine that gathered around the side of my head. “f**k you!” I cursed. I shouldn't have said that. All the students hovered around me, holding different things in their hands, oil, eggs, flour, tomatoes and even ketchup. “Guys, why don't we make some pancakes. What do you think?” Roman slithered, his gaze keen on me. “Yes! Yes! Yes!” The students jeered. “Nowwwww!” Harper howled. ‘You’re so dead Ella.’ I crouched and shielded my face as they threw the eggs and tomatoes and flour on me before pouring barrels of ice cold water on me.
