FATED MATES.

She was attractive with golden jewelry all over her body and wore a black long attire. Her hair was beautifully white, and her black eyes were as stunning and shining as a diamond. “What do you mean, Priestess?” Uncle Aiden questioned. The priestess bowed before my father and then before everyone. She faced uncle Aiden and said. “Only she can save him.” She pointed her finger at me. “No amount of herbs, the magic you use and the hospitals you go to, will save him. Princess Aurora Grimjaw should save him.” 'What are you talking about?’ My aunt, Alice, yelled and walked up to the priestess. “The princess of the Obsidian Howler’s pack should save him? Do you realize what you are saying? My son’s life is in danger and you are saying she should save him? They are both 14 years old. This is not a joke. What does she know? What does she—” “Be quiet.” Uncle Aiden commanded her, but she went on. “What the heck is all this—” “I said, be SILENT.” He yelled at my aunt, who stepped back with tears running down her cheeks and fuming with rage. She looked away from everyone and stared at Liam. What does the priestess mean? Can I truly save Liam? I haven’t developed my powers yet? I can’t shapeshift yet? Aunt Alice is right. What do I know? He turned to the priestess. “The princess of the clan is a little girl. How is that possible?” “His body is burning up. If you keep holding him like that, your body would be the first to drop to the floor.” “What?” “Put him down.” The priestess commanded, and uncle Aiden immediately put Liam down on the ground. The priestess faced me and ordered me to hug him. I ran quickly to Liam, raised his face up, and hugged him. “Stay that way for the next hour.” She instructed and took a black piece of clothing from her gown and wrapped it around me and Liam. She also took two necklaces with a locket and clipped it around Liam. She gave the silver one to Liam and gave me the golden one. “Never take it off if you truly value his life, Princess Aurora.” She muttered and added. “When he wakes up, tell him to do the same thing. He should never take it off.” She stood up from her posture and was about to turn away when uncle Aiden stopped her. “I need to know what is going on, priestess. Why should he never take the necklace off? Why do I feel like his life concerns Aurora? Can you tell me why it has to involve the princess of the clan?” “I need to know the answers to my brother’s question, priestess.” My father demanded and stepped forward to me and ripped off the black clothing from our bodies with a snare. “What kind of pathetic thing is this? He is an alpha. Can you explain what the meaning of this is?” “Your majesty.” She faced all of us once again with a sigh. “I know you wouldn't believe what I have to say, but this holds great significance for the clan. If we disobey the rules and if their destiny does not unfold as the moon goddess has planned. Their lives would be taken.” Everyone was shocked at the news. She continued. “Liam Grimjaw, the prince of the clan, is fated to Aurora Grimjaw, the princess of the clan and daughter of the alpha.” She dropped the bombshell on everyone and my uncle almost fell on himself, and his wife was horrified. “No!” He muttered. “That’s not possible.” “Yes, it is possible.” She pointed at me. “She is his lifesaver.” The priestess walked a little close to uncle Aiden. “If he doesn’t get married to her before he turns 24, he will die.” “Fated mates do not exist. They are all extinct. They don’t exist anymore. We are free to choose whoever we wanna choose now. We don’t have to rely on the moon goddess to give us who to mate with. The powers she has given is enough. Do we have to rely on her again? Do we have to ask permission for who to choose to sleep with now?” “Your highness.” “Stop that gibberish spilling out of your rotten mouth.” My father roared and glared at me. “If you don't stay away from him this instant, I will put your body among the dead. Now, get up, spoiled brat.” “Aurora.” My mother motioned for me to come to her, but I was scared. "Come here." She commanded. What if Liam doesn’t wake up? The priestess said his life is in my hands. The priestess never lies to the clan and my father knows. Why is he refusing to believe her words this time? “AURORA! GET BACK HERE.” My body trembled when I noticed Liam’s eyes were opening in front of me. “LIAM!” Uncle Aiden and Aunt Alice rushed to Liam and took him off my hands. They were both so relieved when Liam woke up. I was happy too. My excitement ran short when my mother pulled me over to her side and landed a slap across my face. “Don’t ignore me again when I'm talking to you. Understand?” “Yes, mom.” I nodded, pushing back my tears and ignoring my burning cheeks. “You’ve been acting strange since the moment you started mingling with Aurora.” My mom blurted out at Liam. She got close to him and uncle Aiden. “I thought you called a therapist to make sure he is sane. We need to know if he is okay before he gets involved with the others. He is getting obsessed with Aurora, and I don’t like it. First, he killed a bodyguard for touching her like he claimed he was doing. He killed a young man who was just doing his duty at his job. He said he was looking at Aurora. Killed his fellow alphas and said they were bullying Aurora because she is an Omega. He always talks to himself when he is alone. And the fourth time, Aurora got kidnapped, he killed our guards, including the rogues, before Alpha Aiden came to the rescue. What do you think of that? Do you think it is still safe to move around someone like this?” “Your highness, my son is not—” “Spare me the noise, Alice. Be silent. I am your Luna. You have no say here. Just shut up when I’m talking and don’t interrupt me.” Sebastian, Liam’s butler, came over to us and bowed before everyone. “The therapist is here.” Therapist? Why does Liam need a therapist? “Is that the best you could do?” My mother scoffed at Liam.
