CH.36

Jakob's pov

Anna has been like this for 2 days now and I am afraid to leave the room to go get the test results from doctor Morris. I am probably going to have to get Hardin or Aspen to go down and get the envelope for me. Anna has been asleep now for about 30 minutes and all night she would sleep an hour then wake up burning up. I called Mrs. White and asked if she could send up some snacks, drinks, and breakfast for Anna and I and she said she would. While waiting on Ember to bring everything up I called Aspen and asked if she could go down and get the results for me and bring them to me. She said she would but told me to wait to open them until after Anna was no longer dealing with her heat. I asked her why and she said that way my mind was focused on Anna. I told her I would wait and told her thank you. When I got off the phone with Aspen I heard a knock and knew it was Ember. I let her in and she put all the food on the table. She smiled at me and said, 

"don't worry Beta Jakob once her heat ends you will have a few days to breathe before she wants to touch you again." I laughed and said I am glad I am a male. I don't think could handle what you females go through. 

Ember laughed and said, "if men had to deal with what we have to deal with you would understand why we act the way we do. Have a good day Beta Jakob and remember to stay hydrated." I told her thank you and she left. 

I woke Anna up and told her she needed to eat breakfast and drink something. She sat up and I gave her her food. After she ate she told me she was going to shower and I told her I was going to call Thomas and Walker to check in and see how they were doing covering for me. Once Anna was in the shower I called Thomas and he told me things were good on his end and as far as he knew things were good on Walker's end. After I hung up with Thomas I called Walker and he said things were going good but he couldn't wait for me to come back. I laughed and said a few more days and I will be back bro. When I got off the phone with him there was a knock on the door. I got up and went to see who it was and when I opened the door it was Hardin. He said he was just coming to check on us and see if Anna was ok. I told him we were both fine and that she was in the shower. He said if we needed anything to let him or Aspen know and they would get it for us. I told him thank you and he left. Anna got out of the shower and thankfully I had just closed the door because she came out of the bathroom naked and went and crawled back on the bed. Once she got comfortable she sat up and asked if I had gone to get the results from doctor Morris yet and I told her that I haven't exactly had the time to leave the room in the past 2 days. She apologized to me for keeping me locked up for the past 2 days and said if I wanted to leave to go ahead and go she would be ok. I told her she had nothing to apologize for and that I wanted to stay in the room. I told her Aspen was going to go and pick up the results for me and she told me she was starting to feel hot again. I crawled into bed with her and started kissing all over her body. With every kiss, Anna moaned and I could feel her body temperature drop. Anna pulled me on top of her and said she wanted me and I gave her exactly what she wanted not once or twice but 4 times until she passed out. I decided to take a nap while she was. 

Annalynn's pov

After Jakob and I made love 4 more times I was finally cool enough to sleep. I didn't sleep long though I woke up and was thinking about what the results are going to say. I still think Kellan isn't Jakob's son and I know if those results say what I think they do it is going to crush Jakob. I know how bad Jakob wants a family but the moon goddess doesn't always bless us with families and if Kellan isn't Jakob's I know it's going to send him into a depression that he may not be able to come out of and that scares me because of how he used to deal with his depression before we found out we were mates. I know I don't need to think like that but it's hard not to. I tried to go back to sleep but my body had other plans and I could feel my body temperature rise again and I tried to hold off on waking Jakob but I ended up having to because I could not get comfortable. 

Aspen's pov

I called doctor Morris and asked if the results were in and she told me they were. I explained that Jakob was not able to come pick them up due to Anna's Heat and she said she would release the results to me or Hardin and I could come pick them up this afternoon. I got the nannies to help me get the pups ready to go for a walk while I was waiting on time to go pick up the results. While I was out walking I saw Colette coming from the west side of the packhouse with a young pack member who couldn't have been any older than 18,  her hair was messed up and he was zipping his pants up. I gagged at the thought of what they were doing back there and decided Hardin and I needed to put a stop to her sleeping around in our pack before she ends up pregnant again. We don't need her trapping anyone else with another pregnancy in our pack. I asked the nannies to finish the pup's walk and told them I had to go speak with my mother-in-law. When I got to Amanda and Clay's, Amanda was surprised to see me and asked if everyone was ok. I told her we were all fine but I was there to go over some pack laws and see if there was a way I could stop something. She asked what laws I needed to know about and I told her I needed to know if there was any law on stopping the sleeping around in our pack. She looked at me and asked if I was wanting to know because of Colette and I said yes. I explained to her what I saw before coming to talk to her and that I knew she was sleeping with other pack members and showed her butt when Walker refused to talk to her again after Jakob caught them together. We went over some of the laws and I found out what I was needing to know. I thanked her and headed back to the packhouse.
