Beta's of green moon (FREE Book 2 of 3 complete)

Annalynn’s pov There are 4 days left before my 18th birthday and Aspen and my mom are going crazy planning a party for me. I told them I didn’t want a big party but Aspen said this was a milestone party since I am now legally considered an adult. I know better than to argue with her so I am letting her plan the party. I was outside in the greenhouse picking some pretty flowers for my room when the door opened and a teenage boy walked in. He looked at me and smirked which kind of made me nervous since none of the boys here at green moon ever really paid any attention to me before it was announced I was the Beta’s mate. I tried to keep an eye on him as I moved further away from where he was standing. I looked back to see what he was doing and saw him picking flowers. I calmed down a little and thought maybe he is just picking flowers and I was thinking too much into that smirk so I went back to what I was doing. I should have listened to my gut feeling. The next thing I knew he was standing next to me. “Hey Annalynn.” He said. Um hi, I replied. He asked how I was doing and I replied I'm doing fine. “So 4 days from now is the big day huh?” He asked. I looked at him and said big day? He said, “yeah your 18th birthday.” I nodded. He said, “well happy early birthday.” I said thanks, he handed me the flowers he picked and walked out of the greenhouse. I sat the flowers he handed me down on the table by the door as I took off back to the packhouse. I went up to Aspen’s office and closed the door. When I closed the door and turned around Aspen was staring at me with her eyebrow raised. I peek out the door and went to go sit down at her desk. She looked at me and said, “what’s wrong? You look like you just ran a marathon and saw a ghost at the same time.” I told her about the teenage boy in the greenhouse and she asked if I knew him. I said no I hardly know any of the boys in our pack since they never paid me any attention I felt there was no need to learn who they were. Aspen nodded and said, “I would be careful Sis. you will be legal in 4 days and the jerks will probably come out and start flirting even though you are mated to the Beta and you are the Alpha’s sister.” I said I know we have some males who act as Mikael did but not as bad as he was. She nodded and said, “If your brother knew how many young men in his pack flirted with me on a daily basis, he would probably have half of his warriors left and none to recruit.” I laughed and she told me she was serious. I hung out with Aspen for about an hour and then I went to my room, put my flowers in a vase, and started cleaning and getting my laundry ready to send down to the laundry room. Jakob’s pov Hardin and I were sitting in the rec room playing a video game, when he asked me what I got Anna for her birthday. I looked over at him and said why do you want to know now? He slowly turned his head towards me and said, “Dude, really? She is my sister and if it’s something she isn’t going to like, I mine as well be the judge before you give it to her so you can get something else if you need to.” I sighed and said I bought Anna a nice journal and pen set that was customized with her name on them and I wrote her a special message on the first page of the journal. I also ordered 6 dozen of her favorite flowers, an edible fruit bouquet and I got her a blanket with her favorite actor/model on it. Hardin looked at me and said, “Please tell me you didn’t order my sister a blanket with Hero on it.?” I nodded my head and he laughed. I said well what did you get her? Hardin rubbed the back of his neck and said, “Aspen ordered Anna’s gift for us and I don’t know what she got her.” I laughed and said HA! You can’t make fun of what I got her because you don’t even know what y’all got her. We play 2 more rounds on our game and then went to find Anna and Aspen. We checked Aspen’s office but they weren’t in there, Hardin looked at me and said, “Probably in the nursery.” So we headed to their suite. He was right they were playing with the triplets. As soon as Silas saw me he started to giggle. Little man loves his Uncle Jak. It drives Hardin and Aspen crazy that he is Uncle Jak’s boy but it makes me feel good knowing that Silas took to me the way he did. Anna and Aspen looked up from the floor where they were sitting with the pups and Aspen said, “Can we all go for a walk with the pups?” I said I was up for it and Hardin said he was too. So we got the pups ready and headed down to put them in their strollers. Then we headed out to walk the trail.
