Annalynn’s birthday pt.1

Jakob’s pov

While I was walking down to Thomas’s office I got a feeling I was being watched. I turned and saw the faint shadow of someone turning the corner, I knew exactly who it was. It was that woman Colette. She makes me sick to my stomach. Last night while heading to dinner she bumped into me and started flirting with me while Anna was next to me and at dinner when she was sitting right next to me. I see how she looks at me and watches my every move when I'm near her and it is disgusting. I love Anna and no one can ever change how I feel about her. Once I got to Thoms’s office I asked him if he would help me out with setting up my room for mine and Anna’s special night.

He looked at me and said, “you realize if Hardin finds out I helped you set up your room to deflower his little sister he is going to put me through h*ll right?” I told him not to worry no one would know he helped me.

He said fine and I gave him a list of what needed to be done before we get back. When I left his office I got a phone call from Trinity letting me know she and Wyatt would be arriving soon. I told her I would let Aspen and Hardin know. After I left Thomas’s floor I went back to mine and Anna’s floor and knocked on her door. She told me to come in and when I opened the door she was still in bed. I smiled at her and said good morning and Happy 18th birthday beautiful.

She smiled at me and said, “I'm not beautiful right now, I need a shower and some makeup.” I kissed her cheek and said no sweetheart you don’t you are beautiful when you first wake and beautiful throughout the day.

She smiled and sat up. She leaned in towards me and said “can I have a birthday makeout session?” I started laughing and said I don’t see why not, I mean you are legal as of today so come here beautiful and kiss me.

She crashed her lips into mine and pulled me on top of her. We were passionately making out when her door opened and I heard a growl I knew. f*ck it’s Hardin I mumbled to myself. I sat up and turned I put my hands in the air and said we were just making out man nothing more I promise. The look on his face was one I had never seen.

The next thing I knew he busted out laughing and said “I will never get tired of scaring the sh*t out of you.” I exhaled the breath I had been holding and Anna got up and called Hardin an a**.

She went into her bathroom and I heard the shower cut on. I looked at Hardin and said that’s my cue to leave. I walked past Hardin and headed towards my room. Before I got past the stairs I heard Hardin clear his throat and I knew he was wanting to talk. I turned around and said come into my room so we can talk.

He followed me to my room and as soon as I shut my door he said: “Jak listen I know Anna is 18 today but I don’t want you to do anything that could cause my sister..” I cut him off and said dude don’t say anything else I promise nothing is going to happen tonight. I respect Anna enough to let her come to me when she is ready. I have no intentions of doing anything tonight besides celebrating her birthday and then watching a movie with her.

Hardin looked at me and raised his brow I held my hands up and said I promise on my parent's man tonight is only celebrating her birthday nothing more. He held out his hand and I shook it. He then pulled me in for a bro side hug and said thank you for respecting her enough to let her enjoy turning 18. Once Hardin left my room I jumped in the shower and headed down for breakfast.

Annalynn’s pov

After my shower, I got dressed and headed downstairs for breakfast. When I got to the bottom of the stairs I saw that woman Colette standing in the dining hall doorway talking to an Omega. I wanted so badly to go up to her and tell her to keep her trashy eyes off my mate but I knew if I did it would cause problems and I don’t want to deal with any crap today. I slid past her and went to my table. Once everyone sat down they all sang happy birthday to me and Mrs. White brought out my birthday breakfast. Jakob was jealous I got extra so I ended up splitting my extra food with him. I looked up into the dining hall to see that trashy woman eyeing my man and I started huffing. Hardin noticed my frustration and asked what was wrong.

I said nothing and he raised his brow at me and said “Annalynn do not lie to me. I know something is bothering you so go ahead and tell me what it is so I can deal with it and make the rest of your day go by smoother.” I huffed and said fine, the new woman Colette has been eyeing Jakob even though she knows he is taken and not only has she been eyeing him but she has also been watching Alex, Van, and Thomas.

Hardin looked at me and then at Jakob, Jakob was enjoying his extra bacon to notice Hardin glaring at him.

I nudged Jakob and he looked up and saw Hardin’s face he said “what did I do?” Hardin asked if Colette had been staring at him and Jakob said,

“yeah bro she has been watching me like a hawk and even flirting every chance she gets.”

Hardin asked if Jakob had said anything to her and Jakob said “bro she knows I have a mate and she knows it happens to be your sister. I haven’t given her any indication that I was even remotely close to being interested in her.” I looked at Hardin and said chill out he has been a good mate and not even looked in her direction on purpose.

Aspen cleared her throat and said, “Hardin why don’t you look out into the dining hall right now and see what she has been doing.”

Hardin looked around and when he saw Colette staring and smiling at Jakob, he stood up and said “I want everyone's attention.” the dining hall got quiet and he continued by saying “most of you already know that today is my little sister Annalynn’s 18th birthday. Almost all of you already know my little sister is off-limits. She is taken by my best friend, My brother from another mother, and my right-hand man. My Beta Jakob Lee. I expect everyone to treat them with respect and I expect everyone to keep their eyes to themselves. If anyone has any issues with this then you can come talk to me. Happy Birthday, Anna, I love you!”

I sat there not knowing if I should thank my brother or try to beat his a** for that. I ended up just nodding my head and blushing from embarrassment. Once everyone went back to eating Silas started fussing I got up and went and picked him up out of his high chair and had him sit with me in my lap so Aspen and Hardin could eat. Since I was already done with my food I sat there and played with my nephew. I love the bond I have with him and I love the bond that I have with my nieces.

Silas started making funny faces and Aspen saw them she said: “Anna let me take him and change him, those are his poopy faces.” I laughed and said no you finish eating sis I will take him up and change him.

She smiled and said “thank you, Anna. I'm thankful my pups have an amazing Aunt like you.” I smiled and took Silas upstairs.

Once I changed his diaper we headed back down but I stopped when I heard that trashy womans voice.

She said “why hasn’t anyone gone after the Beta? He is freaking yummy.” the person she was talking to said “he is off-limits and has been for about a year now.” she said “so. His mate is a baby. She couldn’t please him the way someone older and with more experience could.” the other person said “look I agree that the Beta is hot but I am not about to defy my Alpha and even attempt it. If you know what’s good for you leave the Beta alone. Our Alpha doesn’t play when it comes to someone trying to mess with another’s mate. Ask anyone here about the pack member who tried the Luna because she was obsessed with the Alpha.” Colette said “I'm not going to end up like that chick with however that ended.” the other person said “6 feet under.” the hall went quiet and I went back into the dining hall.

Aspen asked if I was ok and I nodded and said it was a good diaper and I chuckled. After breakfast, I carried Silas upstairs for Aspen and put him on his mat to play with his sisters. I helped Aspen clean up the triplet's dirty clothes and send them down the chute to the laundry room. We were sitting on the couch when there was a knock on the suite door. Aspen opened it and turned to me when 3 blurs ran into the room and 2 of them jumped on the couch next to me.

Wisteria said “Happy Birthday Anna!” Acer said “happy birthday!” and Rose said “happy birthday sissy.”

hearing her call me that warmed my heart! Since my parents took them in after Aspen and Hardin found them we have built bonds and they act as if I'm their big sister. Which I mean technically I am since they were adopted. We let them pick how they wanted to do their last names Wisteria and Acer chose to hyphenate them to keep their parent's name alive. They gave me cards that they made me and said they had to go because mom wanted to take them shopping so they hugged me and left. Aspen and I hung out in the suite until lunchtime.
