Annalynn’s birthday pt.2

Jakob’s pov

While Anna was hanging out with Aspen, I was in my room wrapping her gifts. I got a text message from Trinity letting me know she and Wyatt were pulling into the front gate. I finished wrapping Anna’s gifts and headed down to meet Trinity and Wyatt out front. While I was standing by the front door waiting on them to pull up Colette and an Omega walked out of the kitchen, she looked over at me and smiled. I turned my head and stared out the door. When I turned back t see if she had walked away she was coming up to me.

She said “hello Beta Jakob, how are you today?” I kept my head turned towards outside and said I am doing fine today.

She said, “I can see how fine you are.” I turned my head and said excuse me?

She smiled and said “what’s wrong Beta? Did I say something wrong?” I looked at her and said yes you did and I do not appreciate the flirting. You know I have a mate and I do not want anyone other than her so I suggest you find someone else to flirt with.

She scoffed and put her hand to her chest like I hurt her feelings. She then said “well excuse me for complimenting you and who said I was flirting with you? I was merely making conversation to be polite.”

I said you know da*m good and well you have been flirting with me since you got here. You know Annalynn is my mate and I will not do anything to ruin my bond with the love of my life.

As I finished saying that I heard Trinity say “now that was exactly how that should have been handled!” she then started clapping and said “I'm proud of you Jakob that right there is how a real man handles someone trying to come between him and his girl, and I’ll be da*nmed if I'm going to stand here and listen to any more of this chicks attempts to make it seem like she isn’t flirting with you. You can be on your way now Miss thing.”

I smiled at Trinity and said hello Luna Trinity and Alpha Wyatt, come on in and let me escort you two up to Alpha Hardin and Luna Aspen’s suite. I walked away from Colette and took Trinity and Wyatt upstairs. As I was walking up the stairs I could hear Colette huff and stomp off. When we got to Hardin and Aspen’s suite I knocked and Anna opened the door. She was holding Silas who started squealing and squirming when he saw me. I smiled and said come her buddy Uncle Jak loves you too. Silas started cooing and trying to grab my face. We walked into the suite and Trinity ran to the girls and hugged them. She then ran to Juniper and Cassia and started giving them kisses. She tried to get me to give her Silas but he wasn’t having it. He pitched an awful fit when she tried to take him from me. Everyone other than Trinity laughed. I asked Aspen what the plans were for the rest of the day until dinner and she said we were all just going to hang out and go to lunch then come back and hang out until dinner. So we hung out in the suite then we all headed to outback steakhouse for lunch. We headed back to the packhouse after lunch and Aspen had the nannies take the triplets while we went into the rec room and played pool and video games. We all headed to our rooms around 6:00 to start getting ready for dinner. Once I was dressed I headed down the hall and knocked on Anna’s door.

She said, “come in my love.” I asked how she knew it was me and she said “I can sense stuff remember?”

I laughed and said I love you. She smiled and said, “I love you too babe.”

I asked if she was almost ready to head downstairs and she said all she had to do was straighten her hair and she would be. I sat on the edge of her bed and watched her do her hair.

When she was done she said, “let’s go get this over with handsome.”

I said come on now it’s not going to be that bad sweetheart. It’s just a dinner party and some of our closet friends hanging out with you. Plus afterward, we will be coming back to my room to watch a movie. She smiled seductively and I said nope not going to happen tonight my love, I told you tonight is just celebrating your birthday and being able to spend time with you.

She started pouting and said “fine.”

we headed down to the dining hall and when we got to the door Anna gasped. She said, “Oh my goddess it looks amazing in here.”

I smiled and said Aspen knows what you like my love and so she kept it simple. We walked into the dining hall and headed to our table but along the way, several pack members stopped Anna to wish her happy birthday. When we finally got to our table and sat down, Anna told Aspen thank you for keeping things simple and told her how amazing the room looked.

Annalynn’s pov

Once everyone was seated in the dining hall my father gave a speech on his baby girl turning 18, my mother stood and wished me a happy birthday along with several of my friends. Aspen stood and gave a speech about me being the best sister-in-law she could ever have and the best Aunt to the triplets which Trinity scoffed and pretended to be hurt when she Aspen said that then she wished me happy birthday. Hardin got up and gave a speech about me being a bratty little sister who he loved and would give his life protecting then said

“you are 18 years old today sis and I’ve given you a lot of crap for finding your mate early but today I give you my blessing to move into Jakob’s room.”

I stood and hugged my brother and said thank you. The last speech was given by my love, he stood and said,

“I know I am far from perfect and to have this woman sitting right here as my mate makes me one of the happiest men alive, I lost my parents a few years ago and I acted out and did things I am not proud of and I know my parents wouldn’t be proud of but this woman here is one thing I can say they would be proud of. Her family helped guide me through life after my parents died and this young woman has been there through all of my mistakes and has never passed judgment on me. I always knew there was something special about her but I never thought it was her being my mate. Thank you moon goddess for giving me someone as perfect as Annalynn to continue my journey through life with. Happy birthday to the love of my life.”

I stood up and hugged Jakob with tears streaming down my face thankfully I barely had any make-up on. I kissed his cheek and said thank you, babe, I love you. I stood there and waited on everyone to quiet down and I told everyone thank you for the speeches and birthday wishes. After I sat down the kitchen staff started bringing out the food. Aspen and my mother chose to keep it simple and had Mrs. White prepare chicken and fish, roasted potatoes, grilled corn, roasted asparagus, roasted carrots, and salads. I sat there while eating and looked around the room to see everyone having a good time and eating. It made me smile seeing our pack members happy and getting along. I continued to look around the room until I spotted that Colette chick and when she saw me looking at her she shot an evil look my way. I ignored it and went back to my dinner. Everyone I love and care about made my birthday one I will never forget. After dinner, Hardin announced it was time for me to blow out my candles. Mrs. White brought out a chocolate cake that had chocolate mousse frosting and had light blue roses piped on the top and 18 candles. The kitchen staff brought out more cakes to serve the pack members. Everyone sang happy birthday to me and I blew my candles out. After everyone had cake Aspen said we would be doing gifts up in their suite since there was more room. We headed upstairs and I sat on the couch. Everyone sat their gifts to me on the coffee table and the floor next to it and I started opening them. Trinity and Wyatt got me 3 of the 4 movies to the series I love and they had a decal made for my car that says ***Beta Babe***, my parents got me new tires for my car, a beautiful necklace with 18 on it, and a weekend away at a spa. Aspen and Hardin got me new make-up, a light blue pair of converse and a hand-painted picture of me and the triplets and one of me, her, Hardin, and Jakob together. Jakob got me a nice journal and pen set customized with my name on them. Inside the journal, there was a sweet message from Jakob expressing his love for me as I read it tears fell from my face, he also got me 6 dozen of my favorite flowers, an edible fruit bouquet and I got a blanket with my favorite actor/model on it. Even had a gift from the triplets it was a t-shirt that said ***we love our aunt Anna*** and it had pictures of me and the triplets scattered around the shirt. I told everyone thank you for my gifts and we sat around talking. When my parents left Trinity and Wyatt said they needed to get going because Wyatt had a meeting to attend with his father in the morning. Aspen and I put the triplets down in their beds and then Jakob and I headed to our floor. I asked Jakob what movie did he have in mind?

he said “how about we watch one of your new movies.” I smiled and said ok but I am going to warn you now this movie is a love story with a lot of ups and downs and the main characters are going to drive you crazy with their drama.

He smiled and said “I don’t mind sweetheart as long as I'm watching it with you.”

we headed into his room and he put the movie in and popped us popcorn we laid there on his bed watching the movie. When it was over I got up to go back to my room and Jakob stopped me. He said, “my love why don’t you stay with me tonight?” I smiled and said I would love to stay with babe. He gave me a pair of his shorts and a t-shirt to sleep in and we laid down and talked until we both fell asleep.
