CH.44

Jakob's pov

When I woke up Anna was still laying in the same position she was when we fell asleep. I looked at the time and it was 9:00 I jumped up and grabbed my phone and called Hardin and apologized for missing training and my self-defense class. He laughed and told me to calm down he had Walker cover me today. I told him thank you and he said to just enjoy the rest of my day with Anna. I got off the phone with Hardin and called Ember and asked if she could make Anna and I some pancakes with fresh fruit and bring them to us in the room. She said she would and asked if I wanted her to bring any juice or coffee and I told her both would be fine. She told me to give her about 30 minutes and she would be up and I said thank you. I jumped in the shower and while I was standing there I replayed yesterday in my head and smiled. I am now engaged to the woman of my dreams and I am going to fight for Kellan with her by my side. I couldn't be any happier to have such an amazing woman by my side and family here to support me. I am going to continue to make my parents proud and be the best father and husband I can be. I got out of the shower and after I got dressed Ember was at the door knocking. I let her in and she set the food on the table for me. She bowed as she was leaving and said have a good day Beta. I smiled and said thank you Ember, I am having an amazing day so far. I woke Anna up and told her breakfast was on the table. She asked if we could sit on the balcony but it was raining so we ate in bed and watched movies. Anna decided to go and get some things from her room and while she was gone I called Aspen and asked If she and I could talk. She told me to meet her in her office. I left Anna a note letting her know where I was and headed upstairs. Aspen told me to sit down and asked what was up and I told her I was scared. She asked what I was scared of and I said being a failure. She looked at me and asked what I meant by that and I said not being able to get Kellan and letting him down. She told me to get that thought out of my head because she was going to do whatever she could as Luna of this pack to make sure Kellan ends up with the father and mother who have done nothing but show him love and help him developmentally where his own mother hasn't done one thing for him in his best interest besides lie and say he was mine. She told me she had already had something in her head to help show the elders I am worthy of taking Kellan in and raising him with Anna. she told me not to ask and I said I trust her. She asked where Anna was and I told her and she smiled. She said,

"I am so happy for the two of you and I am proud of you for not giving up on Kellan even though the results weren't what you wanted. You and Anna are going to be amazing parents and I can already tell you two are going to be just like Hardin and I. we are all so much alike." I smiled and said I could only hope to have a marriage like yours and Hardin's. 

After our talk, I went back to mine and Anna's room and she was standing there folding some of her clothes. I walked up behind her and picked her up and spun her around. She giggled and asked why I was in such a good mood and I said well let me see, I am going to fight for my son and I have an amazing family here to support me, oh and I am now engaged to the most amazing and gorgeous woman I have ever laid eyes on. Anna blushed and said she couldn't wait to start planning our wedding. I smiled and said I couldn't wait to spend a fortune on the day I marry the woman of my dreams. Anna laughed and I pulled her in for a kiss. The rest of her clothes didn't get folded until after dinner because I made love to her until it was time to go down and eat.   

Annalynn's pov

After dinner, Jakob and I went for a walk down by lake Lee. we stopped at the edge of the water and Jakob took a deep breath and said,

"I am so happy that you said yes to marrying me, Anna. I know we would still be together even if we weren't married but you having my last name, makes things so much more real." 

I said I know and I am happy you asked me to marry you, I wouldn't have wanted any other last name but yours baby. I asked if Hardin or Aspen had mind-linked him with any news on Colette's punishment and he said not yet. We kept walking and once we passed the lake we were close to the edge of the woods at the end of the packlands Jakob grabbed me and said he could hear someone breathing heavily. He told me to go back to the packhouse and get Hardin but I told him no I wasn't leaving him and what if there was someone else watching and waiting to just grab me. I sent a mind-link to my brother and told him to get down here now and within minutes Hardin was standing next to Jakob with Walker and Thomas. Hardin told Thomas to take me up to Aspen and to get back down here. When we got up to the suite Aspen asked what was going on and I told her. About 10 minutes later Hardin and Jakob came in and I asked what happened Hardin shook his head and Jakob said It wasn't anyone trying to harm us but I do feel like vomiting right now and Hardin said him too. Aspen and I both said what was it and Jakob told us it was Colette and that kid who almost attacked me and they were doing it in the woods. Aspen and I both gagged and the guys laughed and Jakob said that's what he and Hardin did too. Hardin said,

"Ok, so now that I have seen it for myself I can now talk to the elders about a punishment. Anna and Jakob, you are both ok with what Aspen and I come up with correct?" Jakob and I both said yes and Hardin said he would talk to elder Todd in the morning. 

It was time for the triplets to get in bed and Jakob asked if He and I could put them to bed. He said he was missing his buddy and his girls and needed some Uncle Jak time. Aspen said we could and I carried Juniper while Jakob carried Silas and Cassia into the nursery. Once we got them changed and into their PJ's we laid them down in their beds and Jakob sat there and read them a story. When he was finished all three of them were out. Jakob turned their night light on and I cracked the door as we went back into the living room. I asked Hardin about what we were going to about Kellan and He said to leave it to him and Aspen, He told me they had an idea that might be what we needed to get Kellan. Jakob and I said good night and we went back to our room. I asked Jakob if he was ready to be a full-time father and he said he was and couldn't wait until our little family got bigger. I smiled and told him I couldn't either and that I loved him with everything I had in me and I couldn't wait to be his wife. We sat up and watched a few episodes of a tv show we like and then went to bed.
