CH.43

Jakob's pov

After we left Hardin's office Anna suggested we go pick up my SUV and I said we did need to go do that so we headed out to go get it. While we were driving out there Anna asked how I was feeling and I told her I was feeling fine and she said she meant with Kellan. I told her it hurts that Colette lied about him being mine but I was ok with it because he is my son no matter what those papers say. Anna smiled and told me she loved me. After we got to my SUV I cleaned up my bottles and whispered to the moon goddess that I was sorry for my actions last night and for speaking Ill towards her. I got in my SUV and headed home. While on my way home I got a surprise pop-in by the moon goddess. I started to pull over and she said not to, that this wouldn't take long. I asked what she was popping in for and she told me she was there to let me know she accepted my apology and to tell me that my parents had a message for me. I asked what the message was and she told me they wanted me to know they are extremely proud of the man I have become and that they are proud of me for stepping up and wanting to raise this child even though I am not his father. They also wanted me to know that they knew Anna was going to end up being my mate after she was born because I became clingy and wanted to protect her all the time. Before the moon goddess left she said, 

" I am proud of you my child. I couldn't pick a better couple to take this pup in and raise him as their own. Oh, and Your parents said to tell you they love you more than anything and will always be with you." 

I looked over and she was gone. That little chat with the moon goddess made me smile and cry a few happy tears. I am so relieved to know my parents and the moon goddess are proud of me. Now I can move forward with Anna and Kellan once he is legally ours. When I got home I mind-link Anna and asked where she was. She told me she was in our room cleaning up and I took off up to her. I ran inside the room and picked my beautiful mate up and said Annalynn Tifton I love you with all of my heart! Anna raised her brow and asked what was wrong with me and I laughed and said nothing was wrong and everything was perfect. She looked at me confused and I said I am fine baby I promise. I had a little time to chat with someone close to my parents on the way home and I know they are proud of me. Anna said she came to you too didn't she? I asked who she was talking about and she said, 

'I've talked to the moon goddess to Jakob. She is the one who told me we were going to be ok after we found out about Kellan. She came to see me when I was upset and not talking to you the morning after we found out." I said I did talk with her and it was something I needed because she had a message from my parents and after hearing what they had to say it felt like the weight of the world had been lifted off my chest. 

Anna hugged me and told me she was happy that my parents were able to tell me that. I told her to get dressed and that we were going out for the day. As Anna was getting ready I texted Aspen and told her I needed her and Hardin to meet Anna and I at the lake today I told her I was going to do it today and not wait any longer. Aspen asked what time and asked if I wanted her to set up and I told her I didn't need anything out there besides our family and to be there around 5 right before sunset because I was going to do it as the sunset over the lake. She sent a smiley face back and I put my phone up. I took Anna out to lunch at a really nice restaurant and then we went bowling and to the mall. When we left the mall Anna asked what we were going to go do next and I said it was a surprise.

Annalynn's pov

Jakob told me what we were going to do next was a surprise so I figured a nice dinner to end a good day. I noticed we were heading away from everything and heading towards Hardin's lake cabin and I asked Jakob what was going on. He smiled and told me he had a surprise for me. When we got to the cabin we got out and Jakob told me to follow him we headed down towards the lake but we turned to go up the mountain. Before we got to the top Jakob told me to close my eyes and I did. Once we were on top I asked if I could open my eyes and he told me not yet. I said Jakob what is going on? Why can't I open my eyes? He told me to be patient and I would be able to soon. After what seemed like 45 minutes of me with my eyes closed Jakob said he was going to count to ten and then I could open them. When he got to ten I opened my eyes and saw Jakob on one knee with a ring box in front of him and Hardin and Aspen were standing off to the side of Jakob. I gasped and started to cry. Jakob clear his throat and said,

"Annalynn Tifton, you are one of the most amazing women I've ever met. You have loved me pretty much your whole life and even though I was such a dumb*ss and did the things I did you still love me. I didn't know until earlier today but I know why I have always been protective over you, apparently, I knew right after you were born that we were meant for each other. I never could figure out why I was clingy when it came to you but my parents let me in on that little secret and I am so thankful that the moon goddess chose you to be my mate. I cannot wait to start our lives together as husband and wife and I can't wait for the day we start our family. Through everything that has gone on lately and since we found out we were mates you have been my sanity and my safe place. You were able to pull me out of the darkness that took over last night by just being by my side. I love you now and forever Annalynn, will you make my dreams come true and marry me?"  I couldn't speak so I nodded repeatedly and cried as he place the ring on my finger. 

Aspen was balling and Hardin well I couldn't tell but it looked as if he was wiping his face. 

Jakob got off his knee and pulled me in for a hug ad kiss. I whispered Yes Jakob I will marry you and he kissed me again. Aspen gave me a hug and said she was happy for Jakob and I and when I went to hug my brother, I said I saw you wiping your face. It's ok I won't tell anyone. He hugged me tight and told me I better not, He can't have everyone knowing he has a soft side. I looked at my future husband and smiled. I whispered thank you moon goddess and Jakob came to my side and said we were all going out to dinner to celebrate. Jakob and Hardin argued over who was paying for dinner but in the end, my brother won because Aspen threatened Jakob. When we got home Aspen said she was going to send mom and dad the video and I told her I was glad she was able to record it for them and I told her and Hardin thank for being part of my special night and for dinner. Jakob picked me up and said,

"I want to go lay in bed with you and just listen to your heartbeat all night. I want to hold you close to me and make love to you baby." I smiled at the man of my dreams and said take me upstairs baby. 

Even though my heat had just ended and I said I didn't want Jakob to touch me for at least a month, Jakob and I made love and after we made love I laid in his arms, and we laid there in silence and stared into each other's eyes.
