CH.33

Annalynn’s pov

When I woke up Jakob wasn’t in the bed I sent him a mind-link but got nothing back. I tried to text him but my text went without a reply. I got up took a shower and once I got dressed I mind-linked Hardin and asked if he had seen Jakob. He told me hadn’t seen him since last night. I figured he may be at the gym so I went down there to see if I could find him but he wasn’t there. I saw Thomas and Walker on my way back to the packhouse and asked if they had seen him but both of them said no. this isn’t like Jakob to disappear and not answer his text or mind-link and I was starting to get worried. I went down to Lake Lee but he wasn’t there either. I sat down on the ground at the edge of the water and tried to think of where else he could be. I sent a mind-link to doctor Morris asking if he was there but she said no. there were only 2 other places I could think of where he would be my parents or Colette’s. I prayed to the moon goddess he was at my parent’s and not with Colette. I mind-linked my mom but she said he wasn’t there. I could feel my blood starting to boil at the thought of him being with Colette, I mean even if something was wrong with Kellan he could of at least let me know where he was going. I marched back to the packhouse and up to that piece of trashs room and knocked on her door. She opened the door wearing a short dress and stared at me with this evil look. I said where is Jakob? She looked around and said,

“Are you asking me where your mate is?” I said I am not in the mood for your games Colette where is Jakob? 

She laughed and looked behind her and said “in the shower.” then she closed the door in my face. 

I felt my blood pressure rise and I knew I was about to snap. I beat on the door but she wouldn’t open it. I screamed F*ck both of you then and went to my car and left the packhouse. I drove until I saw the front gate of Blood-Orange moon and I pulled up and asked them to let Luna Trinity and Alpha Wyatt know Annalynn Tifton was there to see them. The gate guard let me through and Trinity was standing outside waiting on me when I pulled up to the packhouse. We went inside and headed to her and Wyatt’s room. When she closed the door she asked what was wrong and I said please don’t tell anyone I am here. She said she wouldn’t and then asked what was wrong. I told her about how I woke up and Jakob was nowhere to be found and when I went to Colette’s she told me he was in the shower then refused to open the door after closing it in my face. Trinity asked if I actually believed Colette because Jakob has said several times he didn’t want anything to do with her. I told her I didn’t know what to think since we found out he had a pup with her. Trinity’s mouth dropped open and she asked me to repeat what I said. I said Aspen must have forgotten to tell you and Wyatt the latest. Yeah, she told Jakob 2 days after my birthday that Kellan was his and that was her main reason for coming to green moon. Trinity asked if I believed Kellan was Jakob’s and I told her about the test results she gave him and then about how we went to take a test of our own and found out someone forged Jakob’s name to the request form for his DNA and that I don’t think Kellan is really Jakob’s son. after I told Trinity everything that has been going on she invited me to eat lunch with them out at the restaurant they were going to. Trinity told Wyatt not to tell Aspen, Hardin, or Jakob that I was with them. After lunch, Trinity and I went to the nail salon and she paid to have my nails done even though it wasn’t really my thing I let them do short natural looking nails. After we left the nail salon Trinity told me I was welcome to come back to Blood-Orange moon and stay for the rest of the day and even stay the night if I wanted but I decided to go home. I thanked Wyatt and Trinity and headed out. 

Jakob’s pov

When I got home from my trip out with Aspen I went upstairs to apologize to Anna for not letting her know I left this morning. I thought I put my phone on charge last night but I guess I didn’t. I got to my door and opened it but Anna wasn’t in there. I mind-linked Hardin and asked if Anna was with him and he said no he hasn’t heard from her since this morning when she asked if he had seen me. I searched all over the packhouse but had no luck finding her. I saw Nikkoli and asked if he had seen Anna and he said she left hours ago and she looked pissed off. I tried to call her but she wasn’t answering the phone. I was starting to get worried. I thought maybe she was out at Hardin’s lake cabin so I hopped in my SUV and headed there. When I pulled up I didn’t see her car and began to freak out. Malachi told me to calm down that if anything had happened to our mate he would be able to sense it. I calmed down and thought rationally that maybe she went to the movies or just wanted to go off for the day to have some time to herself.   I got back in my SUV and headed home. It was getting close to dinner time and I figured Anna would probably be at home getting ready for dinner. When I got back I went up to her room thinking she may be in her room getting ready but she wasn’t in there. I went up to Aspen and Hardin’s suite and asked if Aspen could call Anna to see where she was. Aspen called and Anna answered and said she was out driving around trying to clear her head. Aspen asked what was wrong and then she looked at me with a very unpleasant look on her face. She told Anna they would talk later and when she got off the phone with Anna she said,

“Jak, Anna is very upset right now.” 

I asked her what was wrong and she said, “Anna thinks you were with Colette in her room today.” I cringed at those words. 

I asked her what gave Anna that idea and she said “Colette told her you were with her and you were in the shower in her room when Anna went to look for you she thought something may have happened with Kellan and you might be there.” 

I started panicking because I couldn’t tell Anna the truth about where I was today and I can’t tell her I was with Aspen because she might figure out what I was doing. Aspen said she would tell Anna she sent me out on a business deal and that is why I wasn’t able to answer my phone and that I was not with Colette. 30 minutes later Anna came in but she wouldn’t talk to me and locked herself in her room and said only Aspen and the kitchen omega who was bringing her food up could come in.
