Colette’s pov
I finally got a good night’s sleep without Kellan here. I could get used to him staying with Jakob so I can sleep through the night. I hope Kellan gave Jakob double the h*ll I go through at night with him. I have to meet Jakob after breakfast to get Kellan and then we do this again on Monday but after Jakob does his job. I got up out of the bed and took a shower. When I got dressed I went down to see if I could catch Illiana before everyone comes down. I saw her talking to that Ember girl I met when I first got here. When I walked up to her Illiana asked me where Kellan was and without thinking, I said he is with his dad. Ember looked at me confused and said,
“his dad is here?” I sighed and said yes. She asked who it was and I said don’t say anything to anyone knowing she would blab to everyone she knew and it would get back to Jakob’s mate and hopefully drive her to reject him.
I said the reason I am here is because I met his father at a party and we were both wasted and slept together. I didn’t know who he was other than his first name but I found out the next day that I had slept with none other than Beta Jakob and well Kellan is his son. She gasped and said,
"I bet Annalynn is taking this pretty hard." I huffed and said who cares how she feels. Kellan and I belong where his father is so I will be staying and I won’t give up on hoping he rejects her and ends up with me and Kellan.
Illiana said “I’m not even going to say anything because you won’t listen even if I do so whatever. If you do anything stupid and Alpha Hardin or Luna Aspen find out it’s your as* not mine because I’ve tried to warn you to leave them be.” then they walked away from me.
I went to my table and sat there waiting on the food to come out. Once everyone started getting served I noticed Jakob hadn’t brought Kellan down so I decided to finish my food and go look for them. I headed up to his floor after I ate and when I got to his door it was cracked and I could hear laughing and Kellan was giggling. I peeked in the door and saw Annalynn with my son on her lap kissing his cheeks. Jakob was laying on the floor and was smiling at them. That pis*ed me off. this little b*tch thinks she is going to step in a play mommy to my son? Nope, I don’t think so. I stormed towards her room. When I turned the doorknob it was locked. I stomped my foot and headed to my room.
Annalynn’s pov
While I was playing with Kellan I was sensing something weird but I didn’t want to say anything to Jakob until I knew exactly what it was. I could also sense Colette was nearby but I kept it to myself because I didn’t want to ruin Jakob’s last bit of time with Kellan. When it was time to take Kellan back I told Jakob I would wait in the room until he got back and he kissed me before he left. I called Ember and asked her to come up to Jakob’s room to talk while he was out and within a few minutes there was a knock on the door. I opened the door and Ember said,
“what’s up Anna?” I said come in. we went and sat on the love seat.
I said what I was wanting to talk about is Colette and Kellan. She said, “ok what about them?”
I asked her what all Colette told her the day she met her and she said “not much Anna. all she said was she was here seeking a place to stay for a little while and that Kellan’s dad had been killed in a rogue attack but then told me earlier Jakob was his dad.”
I asked if she told her why she was seeking a place to stay and Ember said, “she said something about being blamed for something that happened in her old pack and she was told to leave.”
I asked if she had by any chance said what pack she came from. She said, “no she never mentioned where she was from.” I said well according to Colette she came here to find Jakob because apparently they met at a party a little over a year ago and both got wasted and slept together. Ember said “ok but why was she looking for Jakob if it was a one-night stand, Jakob couldn't really be his father could he?”
I put my head down and said Jakob is Kellan’s father. Ember gasped and said, “are you serious? i thought she was lying.”
I nodded and said she gave Jakob his birth certificate and a DNA test result page that said Jakob is 100% Kellan’s father. Ember said,
“Anna, I can’t even imagine how you are feeling right now.” I said honestly I feel like beating some sense into her for flirting with Jakob even after she was told to stay away from him because we were mates but I can’t touch her.
Jakob came back and Ember said she had to go help Mrs. White in the kitchen. After she left Jakob asked if I was ok and I said yeah I’m fine babe why? He said,
“you seem bothered by something.” I smiled and said I’m fine baby. Jakob walked to the door and locked it. I said why did you lock the door? He smirked and said, “I want some time with my sexy mate and don’t want to be interrupted.”
I giggled and said and just what are you wanting to do? He looked at me and his eyes were black with lust. I knew then that Malachi had come forward. I got nervous and said Malachi please bring Jakob back. He said,
“don’t be afraid mate I won’t hurt you. I just want to meet my mate.”
it dawned on me then that My wolf hadn’t come forward and my 18th birthday had already passed. I said, Malachi, she hasn’t come forward yet so I don’t even know her name. He said,
“it’s ok mate. It was a pleasure speaking with you.” his eyes changed back to their normal color and Jakob said, “Anna, I’m sorry he took over and I couldn’t stop him.”
I said it’s ok Jakob it was time for me to meet him anyway. I’m sorry he couldn’t meet my wolf, she hasn’t come forward yet and I don’t know why. Jakob said,
“it’s ok Anna. Your wolf will come when she is ready.” I said I think I need to talk to my mom about it.
Jakob said, “we will go see her later. Right now can we cuddle and make out? I miss the feeling of those luscious lips on mine. I smiled and said yeah we can. We laid there and cuddled for 2 hours just talking and making out.
