Annalynn’s pov
It’s been 2 days since we found out someone forged Jakob’s name on the DNA sample form and we still have no clue who the doctor is. Elder Todd is working on trying to find out who this doctor is so my brother can go pick them up and bring them back so he and Jakob can question them to find out why they requested Jakob’s DNA sample for Colette without contacting Jakob personally. My mom is still trying to get ahold of Colette’s old pack so we can talk to the Alpha and Luna there. Hardin said something about him and mom going out there to talk to them face to face if she doesn’t get a call in the next day or so. Since I got the spa passes for my birthday I figured Aspen and I could go for the weekend. I sent her a mind-link asking if she was free to talk for a few minutes and she said to come on up to the suite. I headed upstairs and knocked on the door Aspen opened and Cassia started yelling “Na Na” I smiled and picked her up and kissed her chunky little cheek.
Aspen asked what was up and I told her I had an idea for us girls to get away for the weekend and she raised her brow at me. She said “Anna, how are we going to get away for when I have the triplets?” I said Hardin and mom can watch them. You know mom wouldn’t mind keeping her grandpups. Aspen looked around and said, “it would be nice to get away just for the weekend and relax but where would we go?” I said remember I got spa passes for my birthday? She nodded and said, “can you bring a guest?” I said yes I checked before I came up here to talk to you. I said I figured we both could use some peace and quiet from the drama here and time to ourselves to regain our sanity. She said she was going to talk to Hardin about it when he got home and we would discuss it later.
I left the suite and went to go talk to my mom. As I was walking to my parent's townhome I heard Colette's voice and I stopped walking. She was walking with Kellan towards the park and she was ranting about something.
I moved closer to the park to see if I could hear what she was going on about and once I was close enough I heard her saying “you aren’t supposed to be laughing and happy with Jakob and that bi*ch he is with Kellan, you are supposed to scream and cry as you do with me. Why do you scream and cry with mommy but are happy as can be with them? I just don’t understand it. I am your mom she isn’t shi* to you.”
it took everything in me not to walk up to her and tell her I am more of a mom to him than she will ever be and punch her dead in the face but I know I can’t just attack her because she is running her mouth. I bit my tongue and went to my mom and dads. When I got there my mom could tell something was wrong and kept asking if I was ok and I just kept nodding. Once I was calmed down I told my mom what I heard and she said,
“Anna, you have to let things like that go. She is jealous of you and that’s why she is talking crap about you. She wants Jakob but can’t have him because he belongs to you so she is going to try and ruin your bond but from what I can see Jakob isn’t going to let that happen.” I said I know mom and I am trying to let it go. I came here to ask if you and dad would help Hardin with the triplets this weekend so Aspen and I can use my spa passes to go relax and regain our sanity. My mom laughed and said, “of course, we will sweetie when are y'all leaving?” I said I'm not sure yet because Aspen has to talk to Hardin about it when he gets home and my mom said well I will call him right now and tell him ya’ll ae going end of discussion.” I laughed and said I knew you would that’s why I came to talk to you. I hugged my mom and said oh and I forgot to tell you the other day but my wolf came forward. My mom said “oh I am so glad to hear that Anna! What is her name?” I said it’s Hailee and Jakob said she has light blue eyes. My mom said she couldn’t wait to see Hailee and I told her about how Jakob is going to take a picture of her for me so I can see what she looks like. I got a mind-link from Aspen saying Hardin was on his way home and she was going to talk to him as soon as he gets in the door. I told mom and she said I'm on it. I told mom I was going for a walk and I would see her at dinner.
Jakob’s pov
I am still pis*ed off at the fact someone forged my name and we still haven’t found out where the doctor is located. Elder Todd is doing everything he can and so is Hardin. I stayed after my classes today to work out to try and get as much of the anger I have built up out. I was finishing up my leg press when I heard Colette’s voice. I turned to see her flirting with a few of the younger pack members and it made me sick. I got up and grabbed my bag and headed to the door I turned and shook my head at her and walked out. I was close to the walkway that leads to the packhouse when I heard her yelling “bye Jakob.” I gripped my bag tightly and kept walking. I can’t wait until the test results come back and Anna and I get Kellan. I am going to make it a point to banish her to the far part of the packland or better make her live outside the packland. I will not be helping her either. She needs to learn how to work for what she wants because I sure as hell will not be giving her anything. I will make sure my son has what he needs and is taken care and she will have supervised visitation. When I got back to the packhouse I got a mind-link from Anna saying to come up to Hardin and Aspen’s. I went to my room and put my stuff down and headed upstairs. When I got there the door was open and the baby gate was up, I prepared myself to be attacked by my Lil buddy. I peeked in the door and saw him in the middle of the floor and I tried to sneak in but he must have caught a glimpse of me as I was sneaking around him. He started yelling “AK AK AK” I smiled and said yes buddy it’s uncle Jak. Aspen and Anna were laughing and Hardin said,
“You know good and well Silas can sense you Jak. I don’t know why you keep trying to sneak in here.” I laughed and said I forgot he could sense when I'm near him.
I asked what was up and why I was called in for a meeting and Anna said, “well you know how I got the spa passes for my birthday?” I said yeah. She said, “well Aspen and I were going to use them this weekend to relax and try to regain some sanity.” I said ok cool when are we all going? Anna said “babe it’s just me and Aspen. You and Hardin along with our parents are going to take care of the pups while we are gone.” I said ok sounds like it will do you both some good to go on a little getaway. She kissed my cheek and she said “I love you thanks for helping Hardin.” I asked when they were leaving and she said in about 2 hours. I asked if I could spend the next hour and a half with Anna and she said “of course babe let’s go.” we left Hardin and Aspen’s suite and went back to our room.
