chapter 13

Jennifer Callahan's mom

I was mourning my husband. All I wanted was my mate back. But I knew he wouldn't be around anymore. He was gone. and would never come back. Every single night when I go to our room I watch my door and hope that he would just open the door and peep his head in and say hi honey. lets go to bed but he never does. I hold his picture in my arms every night while I sleep. i knew Callahan missed Taylor, to be honest so do i, sometimes i wondered if she actually did kill my husband. she could have ran and hid for years if she did kill him. but she didn’t, she stayed there with him until we got there. She tried to tell us that she didn’t do it. She tried to explain to us what really happened. but all i did was hit her to get her away from him, we locked her up and beat her the next day then banished her from the kingdom. Where would i even start to look for her, she might be thousand miles away, i won’t mention anything to Callahan but i needed to get to someone to see if they could find her, i mind link Chase, asking him to come see me in my office, a few minutes later he was in my office with the door shut sitting down in front of my desk.

“ Chase, i asked you here today for a few things, first this conversation is between you and i, second i need you to find someone for me, If Callahan finds out he would be very upset since he thinks that she killed his father, The person i'm talking about is Taylor, a few weeks ago we banished her after she got her lashes, is there a way you can call someone to help find her, i would pay for them whatever they need i will get.” i could tell he was thinking, i knew he was shocked that i would want to find her, but i didn’t need a reason, i just needed to find out if she is okay, and how she has been doing since she's been away from here.

“My queen, i think i know a few people, i can make a few phone calls to see if they are around, i'll let them know what you said.”

“good. good. Just remember, this is between you and I. I do not want anyone to find out about this, I don't want you to bring her back here, I just need to know how she is doing. After that I will decide on what to do with her. Is that clear?”

“Yes my queen, i will not tell a soul, i'll go and make those phone calls now, i will let you know if i could get a hold of them,” He got up leaving my office, i pulled out a picture of my husband looking at him i whispered to noone in the room,

“ I will find out who killed you, my love and I will get my revenge, I promise.”

Chase pov

I knew she ordered me not to tell anyone what she wanted me to do. But i needed to tell Callahan, Even if he gets mad he needs to know, i walked into his office he was on a phone call and when he saw it was me he got off the phone. he knew i needed to talk to him just the way he looked at me,

“We need to talk, your mother wants to find Taylor, she wants me to call around to see if i can find anyone to find her.” sighing he shook his head. then looked back over to me,

“Man, I already know where she's at. That's the phone call I just got done with, she's decided to go back to school to be a vet tech, she's doing just fine, is that what my mom is wanting to know if she is alright?”

“yeah that's all she is wanting to know. she said then she will decide what she wants to do. im thinking she is planning on asking her what happen that day, what am i supposed to say to her?”

“Wait a few days, let her know your people found her and she looks to be doing good that she's going to school to be something. But only tell her that, because you don't have a clue where she is at, and your guys didn’t tell you where she is living. If she wants to know more than she will have to find her own people to find her, by then she will probably already be gone. lets just hope my mom will be happy with just that,”

“Lets just hope she will be. We all know how she is when she wants something she doesn’t give up until she gets what she wants.” we both laugh, i really hope she will be happy with the information i give her in a few days. Something tells me if she's not happy then she will find a way to find her and see for herself, she always has her ways If she finds out where she's at. We will probably have a problem on our hands."
