Taylor pov

I finally graduated from College, I had to stop for awhile because Chirs was in the hospital someone attacked him in his home. so i had to help out for awhile, I watched his hotel until he was finally able to come home again, i knew he was wolf, but they put so much wolfbane in his body that they thought he was going to die. he finally recovered after a year. So when he came back i went back to school so I could finish with my classes, it just took a lot longer than it should have taken, I didn’t mind I was helping a friend in need that's all. I took a job as a vet tech in the afternoon from 9 to 5 but in the mornings I still cleaned the rooms, i loved both my jobs, but I knew it was getting close to leaving this town. I didn't get a checking account, I did not trust banks enough because I always thought that Callahan would find out where I was then come after me. I know he will one day, just not as soon as I thought, I had dated a few times. Just humans never wolves because i never wanted my scent on them, just in case you know, I was still waiting for my mate. that I never found. i was hoping he would come sweep me off my feet and we would go to his pack and rule together while i was a vet tech in the pack, i love all sorts of animals, when I went to work, i would work on rabbits, horses, lamas, all kinds, even some weird looking ones, that i couldn’t pronounce, but i still helped them, When I got home from work. Chirs was in the lobby looking at a big Yellow paper, he saw me and waved me inside, I opened the wide doors walking into the lobby,

“Listen Taylor, I know you have been recovering over the years, you graduated from college, helped my daughter get through school. and helped make this hotel so much better. But right now we are going to go through something really stressing, I want you to with me and sit on the couch with me and i will show you what's in this envelope,” now I was nervous, What was inside that package that he knew would really stress me out, I was getting really nervous when we sat on the couch, he handed me the package. I almost dropped it when I saw the royal crown on the front. It was for me, from the king. He might had found his mate he might had forgiven me, i doubt that, because there was nothing to forgive, I didn’t kill his father, i tried to save him and the slashes on my back that he gave me was the thanks i get, I packed had the royal crown on the front, then underneath it had my name. Taylor Gibbs. please read. that's all it said, what would happen if i didn’t read this thing? What would happen if Chirs told whoever gave him this that I never came back so I was unable to read it. Would they hunt me down and drag me back for more punishment? This really isn’t any good whatsoever. No matter what I thought about doing, I knew it would come back hard on me. I looked at Chris,

“What do you think I should do?” He smiled then hugged me tightly, he knew I was scared to read it, i might be banished from this town and i had to leave and find another two to go to before they come and get me. When will this all stop?

“Honey, i do not know what you should do. If you open it up and read it, you can then just toss it away and pretend you never got it. or you could read it and see what it says then do what you think you need to do in your heart. I know you have been scared over the years, But you’ve been safe here, and you always will be so don’t worry okay,” I nodded looking at it one more time. then i decided to just open the thing up and read it, what could it hurt, it's not like i was going to go anywere not for another few months anyways. i almost had enough money to get out of here, unless this was telling me i needed to leave, i ripped open the top of the envelope, took out the sheet of paper, then began to read

“Dear Taylor Gibbs,

“You are hereby granted permission to step back on royal grounds, We are having a royal mating ball, you are granted to come. Every unmated female and male will be there, if you do not come, you will be hunted down and dragged to the mating ball. We look forward to see you there.

What was this, was I being forced to go to this thing, if i run they would drag me back and force me to go, this is not fair, who else is going, i looked over at Chris. He looked like he was feeling sorry for me, did he know about this, did he know that they knew where i was all along, i had to ask him, i knew he wouldn’t hide anything from me. So I asked him straight out, I hoped he would be honest with me. i just hope he does,

“Did you know he knew where i was Chirs, how long has he known about this:”

When the royal guards came to see me today at the hotel they gave me three letters, one with Taylors name on it, the other was for my daugher evey and then my name, They told me to make sure that Taylor gets hers and make sure she reads it, they left in a hurry i guess they had others to sort out as well, i wanted to open up my daughters and Taylors, but i couldn’t i looked at mine, i opened it then read what was inside, It was a letter to me,

My Dear friend

Inside is a check for everything you have done for me, Please just make sure Taylor gets this letter, If she does ask you if I knew where she was all along, you had no idea that you just found her on your door step passed out, make sure you burn this, and make sure you keep the check, it is up to you if you want to cash it in or not, just make sure you come to the royal mating ball with your daughter, i hope you find your second chance mate,

When i read the letter, i looked inside the package i saw sometiung else, i took it out and read it, it was a check alright for almost four million dollars, I could build on to my hotel and get better beds, but i needed to wait, i needed to make sure this is what i wanted to do. i didnt want to cash it and make myself look greedy, so I decided to wait, I gave him a quick call letting him know i would give Taylor hers, and we would be there, we hung up the phone, an hour later Taylor came home from her second job, i waved her inside after she had read the letter, she asked me if i knew all along that Callahan knew where she was at, i hated to lie to her, but i didnt want her scared for her life, i didn’t want her to run and then they would have to hunt her down and goddess knows what they would do. so I lied,

“ No, Sweety, i didn’t know at all, Tay got a letter from the royals as well, there having a royal mating ball, So Tay and I will be going as well, So you will be definitely safe, i promise i won't let anything happen to you sweetie,” I could tell she was thinking about this, i really knew she was scared out of her mind right now,

“I don’t know, i'm just going to have to think about this for a few days, the ball isn’t for another month, so i got time to think about it first, im just not so sure if this is just a set up to get me to go and i could get into trouble, or if this is all real.” she got up and left, i made sure she was out of ear shot when i made the call,

“Hey, i'm not so sure she is up for it, she is scared out of her mind right now, but ill try and talk her into it, just give her a few weeks,”

i have three days to get this woman, she will know who i am, she's forgotten all about me, her sister, and now she is trying to fool me with this mating ball, i will get her, and noone will know that i took her place,
