Chase pov

Alright, I have everything on my floor. I didn’t realize how much stuff I had until I started unpacking my stuff. I think Jennifer gave me more living room items because i don’t remember half the stuff that was up here, it was like a house all to myself, I kept smelling this mouth watering scent, It smelled of oranges and apples, It was a good thing i had everything put up and rearranged, it took me three days to do it, but it's all done, I was walking down the stairs when the scent hit me hard, who the h3ll does this scent belong to, taking the last step down, The scent hit me hard. Oranges and apples, I followed it until I was at the door in the kitchen. Following the scent i went through the double doors,. there were five girls in the kitchen, they were sitting around the breakfast bar talking, Tabby, Suzy, Tabby and Amber, They all turned around to look at me when i walked into the kitchen, I was bumped into when Tatter came into the kitchen sniffing the air, So, i'm not the only one that is looking for their mate, Tatter didn’t waste any time, he went right up to Susy grabbed her and held her in his arms, mate mine, she was surprised and didn't know what to think at first, but then she smiled wide at him,

"mate mine" i didn't know where the scent was coming from until Amber stood up walked over to me sniffing at me, she growled

“mate mine, you see this was different, because Amber was a wolf, we have wolves and Cats in this kingdom. but more cats then anything else, there might be a handful of wolves, Amber came when her whole pack got killed by rogues, they chased her all the way here, but stopped because they knew if they stepped foot in this kingdom they would die. she's been here for almost 6o years but still looks like she is only eighteen, i liked how she growled at me, i pulled her to me sniffing at her neck. mate mine, my lips made contact with hers kissing her hard,

“Would you like to go upstairs with me to see my new home?” she nodded yes, i took her hand leading the way at her side, i liked Amber, she was a strong warrior, she loves to laugh and train and play pranks on others, she loves to meet new people and always make them feel at home. I noticed Tabby she had a frown on her face. maybe if she stopped sleeping around she would find her mate too. But fat chance on that. Tatter already had Susy out of the kitchen to head back to his place so they could talk and get to know each other. But if Amber accept me as her mate, I am all for it. She will be the beta female, my mate, When I was heading toward the stairs, I saw Callahan in his office, he looked up nodding at me, he knew I had found my second chance. i mindlinked him letting him know i would see him tomorrow. Than we can go over the other paperwork that we needed to do. But right now, I wanted to spend some time with my mate.

Callahan pov

I looked up just in time to see Chase hurrying away to his room with his mate, i knew they were mates by the way she was looking up at him. He linked me telling me he would see me tomorrow. I didn't link back. I didn't need to. I stared blankly at my computer screen. I really didn't have any work to do. so i took out the photo of Taylor, i was still angry about my father being dead. But deep inside of me. I really believe that she did not do this. I didn't tell my mom about finding the fur in the clearing. I went back the other day, just to make sure i didn’t miss anything else. but i couldn’t find anything else. I sat in the spot for a long time. then finally got up and came home. This was the last time I saw Taylor, I missed her. I wanted to go see her to see how she is doing, But i had a feeling she would just run away from me. thinking i was only there to hurt her again. I had to keep my distance for right now. even though it's hard. I need to do that. i was looking deep into the photo and didn’t realize someone was standing at the door until they started speaking.

“So after all these weeks you are still thinking of her. Even if you still think she killed your father, Tell me Callahan, What do I need to do for you to make me queen? She's not coming back, you banished her, you told her if she steps foot back on this land you would kill her yourself. What are you waiting for? an invitation?” I looked up placing the photo into my desk locking the desk, It was Tabby, i thought I made it clear to her a couple of days ago that i did not want her as my mate nor the queen of my kingdom. it's not going to happen, I don’t know how many times i had to tell her this. She walked into the office shutting the door behind her. i hate it when she did that. because i knew what she was going to try, and I really wasn’t in the mood for her tricks right now. her fingers touched my shoulders as she slide her hand down my back. i quickly stood up almost knocking her over.

“Callahan, what the h3ll are you doing? You just knocked me over!” I looked at her on the floor, my wolf Bane was laughing at her, “that's what she gets for trying to touch the king, i chuckled at what he said then i looked at her, grabbed her hand pulling her up from the floor, I guess i had to make this loud and clear to her because she wont understand any other way, she pushed toward me thinking i wanted her, but i gently pushed her away from me, not to rough this time,

“Tabby, i want you to listen to me very carefully, So you can understand the words that are coming out of my mouth, I do not want you as my mate. Nor do I want you as my queen. You have been telling everyone in the kingdom that you are my chosen mate since i haven’t found one, Stop your lying woman I do not want you. you was just a good lay thats all. You have a mate out there unless you had already rejected him thinking i was going to want you more than just a bed buddy, That's all it was ever going to be so knock it off. I could tell she was upset by the way she was breathing. was she upset because her sister just found her mate? Who knows, but Tabby is nothing but trouble and i do not need that. I felt a sting across my right cheek, This girl just slapped me across my face. yeah i deserved it, but that shi+ hurt like a bit,ch.

“How dare you speak to me like that. If it wasn’t for that tramp that you banished, I would have been your mate months ago. but instead you keep mourning her like she is dead. well she's not Callahan, And if she is truly your mate, stop thinking she killed your fu’cking father and go get her, and leave me out of your freaking bed.” She stormed out of my office with my mouth hanging wide open. what the h3ll was that all about. did she know that Taylor was my mate? Hopefully she won't go to my mother and tell her, it's the last thing I want my mother to know about, a killer was my mate. I don't think she murdered my father. but my mother is still in mourning, it's the last thing she wants to hear right now.
