Tabby pov

I can't believe this. Right when I thought he had given up on ever seeing this girl again, He lets her come back and right on time for the mating ball. What in the world is he thinking, they can not be mates. I will not allow it, I will do everything in my power not to let this happen. Fine, I will just go to his mom. And see what she has to say about this, She is still the queen. she can overrule this. I calmly walked into her office while she was on a phone call, i politely waited until she got off the phone, When she was done, She looked up, smiling at me,

“Tabby dear, what do I owe this pleasure for? You never come into my office, did you come for a visit,” This woman is so polite, I hope she will be on my side. if she was that would make my whole day,

“Can I sit down with my queen?”

“Of course Tabby, and please call my Jennifer,” I nodded, sitting down,

“So please let me know what you need, you have a determined look on your face, young lady.”

,Mrs Jennifer, Your son, the king, just had a meeting with the whole kingdom, stating he is going to let that murderer back into the kingdom. That he doesn't think she did what she did, How could that be when she was soaked in his blood,” I think I overstepped my boundaries because I saw anger in her face. Maybe she was angry with her son for letting that bi+ch back into the kingdom. Boy, was I wrong, she really let me have it,

“Young lady, My son is the king of this kingdom, He can let anyone come back if that is what he wishes to do so, We need answers, and frankly it's none of your business, I also understand that you have been going around telling the other she cats to leave Callahan alone that he is your man. My question is, has he stated that you are his mate? Has he marked you Tabby? I shook my head no on both questions. My palms were sweating, i did not know she knew any of this, I thought she didn't know what went on, but i was wrong, my heart was beating so fast, that i felt like it was going to beat right out of my chest,

“Then my suggestion to you is keep your mouth shut about my son. If he wanted you Tabby, He would have marked you and claimed you as his mate by now. Do not let me hear again that you're telling everyone to leave him alone, do I make myself clear?”

“Yes my queen, I'm very sorry, please forgive me,” she nodded as she rose up from her seat. she walked over to me smiling,

“I do not like raising my voice Tabby, You are forgiven, I truly hope you find your mate at the mating ball, now if you excuse me, I have a lot to do before the dance.” That was my cue to leave before she changed her mind and ripped my heart right out of my chest. I got up and hurried out of the office, i rather keep my heart in my chest,

Jennifer pov

I was on a phone call from an alpha from the rosewood wolf pack. They were calling to make sure they were invited, I told them of course, werewolves and werebears were allowed to come. When I got off the phone with him, I had a conversation with Tabby that I did not like, I didn’t mean to scare the poor girl. But she wasn’t going to go around telling all the females to leave my son alone, I knew Tabby wasn't his mate, Nor will he ever mark her,.I took out the framed photo of my husband sighing as i looked into his beautiful eyes, I still missed him so much, I think I always will. I talked to him like he was right here in the room, I always do, Sometimes i feel like he was going to talk right back. But he never does, Oh how I wish I could just see him one last time. but If i did that, I wouldn't want to let him go,

“Honey, if she really didn’t kill you, Then i want my answers who did it. I will take my revenge, my love. You were taken away from me way too early, I was supposed to go first so I could meet you when it was your time. You weren't supposed to go like this. I miss you so much. We will meet again one day baby,” I kissed the photo, placing it back on the desk. i looked at the wedding band that was on my ring finger, I took it off putting it on my necklace, then I placed it around my neck. That way the ring is always close to my heart, I left the office to go see about the hall, we had two more weeks for the ball, i wanted to make sure everything was going right,

I honestly thought she was going to rip my heart right out of my chest . I told my friend Shelly, but i will not let the girl take him away from me again. He spent all his time with her when she was here the first time. i have a few things up my sleeve, and she will not win.
