After I insisted on having the Royal mating Ball, Callahan finally confessed to me that he already has a mate. I was surprised, Because i wanted to know where she was. What was her name? Did she come from royalty, What was she at? What he said next I didn’t like and he knew I didn't. Taylor was and is his mate. He knew where she was all along. He made me think hard. If she really killed my husband, She would have run and hid. We wouldn't be able to find her because she would have been gone. Instead she stayed there until we had gotten there. Instead of hearing her out, We did awful things to her. Well I did at first, I hit her punching her away from my husband, Callahan had the guard drag her away, The next day she had gotten thirty Lashes to the back. she passed out, he had to carry her out of the kingdom, I didn’t know where he took her, i didn't care at the time. All i wanted was for her to be banished never to be seen again, We didn't even test the blood she had all over her. We just accused her of doing something awful, Killing the king, But i want answers, I have lots of questions, questions that only she can answer. And I will get my answers, I want to know everything. What did she see, did she hear anything, did she recognize anyone, I know the poor girl must be scared to death right now, She probably thinks we are still out to get her, Trust me i had thought about it over the two years. I was wanting to get to her to get my answers, I wanted to rip her head right off her shoulders. I wanted to slice her throat and stab her in the back. I wanted to do to her what was done to my husband. But after I talked to my son, He made me see it in a new light. Now all I want is answers,

Taylor pov

After thinking for a few weeks, Kimmie and I had decided to go ahead and go. I will just stand in the shadows and watch. I just hope I don't have to sign in to get into the hall, I haven't been to one of these things before. Maybe I could slide in, I could go in with a pack pretending I was with them. anything is possible. I just want that night to end as fast as it came. I’ll go because I am being made to go. Plus Chirs and his daughter are going. I could hang with them until they found their mates. Who knows what might happen, hopefully nothing because I do not want to die. This has me second guessing my thoughts about going.

“Yes she is. Alright, Kimmie, We will go. If they try anything at all,. or try to capture us and say I wasn't invited, We will shift and get out of there fast. I just don’t want you to hurt if we don't find our mate. or if he rejects us because we were banished from the kingdom.”

“If he rejects us, then it's too bad for him not us, if he can’t take the time to get to know us, Then that is on him not us, I will shield you from the pain of rejection. We will be fine. i promise Taylor,”

Callahan pov

If i said I wasn’t nervous, i would be lying, it's been two long years not seeing my mate. I wondered if she was seeing anyone, if she had a boyfriend or if she was coming, i did say in the letter that if she did not come we would find her and bring her to the kingdom. I wouldn’t blame her for dating someone. I've had my fun around the block and back again, All those women I've been with all I could think about is her. Would she reject me when she finds out we are mates? Would she run from me? Does she think this is all a set up? I did have a meeting with the guards and warriors of the whole kingdom. Noone liked what i had to say, But i told them if they try and hurt Taylor in any way they will be locked in the dungeon, i still remember there angry faces

I looked around at my people and I could tell they were all wondering what I wanted this meeting for. So i started with this,

“ I know you are all wondering why i wanted this meeting with all of you, So let me get this out without beating around the bush here, I had invited several packs here for the mating ball, But I had also invited someone that has not been here for sometime now, I banished this person for something we thought she did. But I have thought about this. If she really had killed my father, your king, Why would she still be there trying to help my father? We didn’t ask her any questions, we didn’t give her a chance to. We beat her down, put her in the dungeon until the next day then we gave her thirty slashes to her back, We didn’t even test the blood that was all over her body, We didn’t give her a chance because we were so angry that my father was gone, So what i am saying is that she will be coming to the mating ball.” I heard so many angry gasp some even spoke out loud,

“ I can’t believe she's coming here to our home, she might try to kill us too." said a female voice.”

“She better watch her back, I will kick her a$$.”

“Hold up right there, If anyone lays one single hand, weapon foot or anything else for that matter, you will be locked in the dungeons until the matting ball ends, you will lose your right to find your mate, and have to wait until someone else has a mating ball, your punishment will be strong, you will not be able to train and your title will be stripped for a month, is that clear.” Noone said anything whatsoever, So I used my alpha voice,
