"Ah, no, we're just goofing around, so don't worry about it." Nate said casually with a smile and a wave of his hand. Letting Luke know that he was not interrupting something. "Come in and sorry that you see us making a goof out of ourselves." Nate apologized again. "No need to worry yourself. I'm the one who needs to apologize for barging on like this all of a sudden without prior notice since our meeting was supposed to be later." Luke said as he walked towards them. "It's fine, don't worry about it." Nate assured him before he gestured to Katie who was standing next to him clutching the electronic drawing monitor he gave to her. "By the way this is my childhood friend, Katie Park, she's interning for me as an creative assistant." Then Nate gestured to Luke while he smiled at Katie. "And Katie, he's Lucas Bane, CEO of Bane Corporation, they have businesses here in America, Europe and Asia, they mostly focus on entertainment and music industries. He's also a good friend and business associate of mine. We're cousins since my father is his mother's twin brother." "Nice to meet you, Mr. Bane. And again, apologies if we look so unprofessional earlier. That's just how we are." Katie said politely and a bit awkwardly. She was feeling a bit conscious in front of Luke who's gaze felt like penetrating on her. Like he could read what she was thinking. And she was thinking that he was gorgeous, hot and sexy!!!! How come she never knew about him??? And he's Nate's cousin??? Why Nate??!!! Was he her childhood close friend or what? Why didn't he told her such important matter like this gorgeous human being named Luke being his cousin?? Katie will definitely interrogate Nate later. Then she had a thought, why didn't she met Luke from her previous life? If she did, she'll be drooling all over him. Her scumbag ex looked like he's just a mud on Luke's shoes. She realized how her standard was so low that she ended up with a cheating bastard from her previous life. What was she thinking??!!! So, why only now did she meet Luke? Katie thought of the difference of what she did from her past self to her reincarnated self. Yes, she interned also at Nate's company, but what changed? Oh yeah, she was late that time, and since she never had a heart to heart talk with Nate back then, so they didn't extended their talk that ended up goofing around, so she didn't meet Luke when he went to Nate's office. After she and Nate talked for a while back then, she took the drawing monitor tablet and left to visit the 6th floor before going to her designated office. So that was maybe the reason why. She was just guessing here. But why they didn't meet on other occasions? Katie thought about it. Well, maybe because Luke seems like a busy person, and so was she. And when she became an A-list actress, she was so busy she can barely take a breather. Her company even suck. She was working so hard but she feel like she never get the proper payback from them that she deserved, like private planes, added salary and bonuses, VIP treatment, less project but more elite types that an A-list actress deserve, worst, the company was handed down to an ugly pervert that Katie was thankful she never get to meet at all, since she was busy and being an A-list artist gave her so much leeway. Also thanks to her manager who really protected her and her career, so she never get to experience tha bad side of entertainment. So back then, maybe the reason why she never get to meet Luke was because of wrong timing? Does that mean it's the right time now? She had to die first?! Fate was such a mad joker, and she was the poor victim of it. Katie got interrupted from her musings when she heard Luke's cold but lazy sounding voice, like he has all the time in the world and everybody could just wait for him. "Pleasant to meet you too, Ms. Park, and please call me Luke. Mr. Bane is my father." He told her politely. "And like I sad before, don't fret about it, it's totally okay. I was just worried that I interrupted you guys." Katie nodded and smiled. "Thank you and like Nate said, you're not interrupting anything. And please call me Katie." Luke nodded. "If that's your wish... Katie." Ahhh! Katie likes the sound of Luke's voice calling her name!!! "So, what do you have to take care of that you came running to my office?" Nate joked as he asked Luke. "Grandmother." Luke grumbled exasperatedly. "Ah... " Nate scratched his head. He already knew tha reason. Their grandmother likes to matchmake. No wonder Luke was in a hurry. Nate could symphatize, but also thankful he was not the one who has to deal with the issue. He sighed in relief inwardly. "Before anything else I'll ask one of my assistant to get us something to eat." "Let me do that. I'll just order on the app." Katie volunteered. "What would you guys like. I feel like ordering chinese foods." She also declared. Nate shook his head with a grin while looking at Luke as if saying see how she is. It was not a surprised why Luke saw them acting like kids. Katie rolled her eyes and started choosing her orders on the app of her smartphone. "I'll just order everything that looks good." Katie declared since she wants to eat a little of everything. Luke looked at their antics. He doesn't react much, but Katie was sure he was amused. She saw the side of his lips quirked up a little! "So, when will you leave and where is grandmoter these days? Last I heard she was having a cruise ship with her mahjong buddies." Nate asked him. Luke sighed as he made himself comfortable on one of the couches. "Grandmother is currently in Japan, she just came back from her cruise. And when she came back to Japan, she met an old friend and when the talk about the said friend's granddaughter who was a good singer, thus I was mentioned due to our family having a business in the entertainment industry, then it turned into matchmaking. Now I have to go and talk to grandmother out of her great plan that will never come to fruition." He told Nate. "Then I have to go to our Korean branch of the company. I heard some issues regarding some executive harassing the artists. I better cut that s**t down quickly before it became a huge issue and mar the company name."
