Katie nodded in agreement. Add the fact that she loves freebies! Nate will be generous with giving her his new collections for sure. "Fine, I'll model for the print ads and website, but not on runways."
Nate smiled. "Perfect!" Then he picked up the phone on his desk. "I'll ask my assistant to prepare a contract for your first job as a model. You might want to consult a lawyer for the contract signing. Your family's lawyer will do if you want."
"Fine. I'll contact our lawyer now. It's a good thing our lawyer's office are just around this area, too." Katie said as she took her phone and scrolled through it.
"Done." Nate declared as he put the phone back to it's cradle after giving instructions to his assistant. "I also told my assistant to add Sara to the list who'll be given an invitation for the look-see. Sara will just need to follow the time, date and place on the invitation and she'll be fine."
"Thank you. I'll let her know about this. I'm sure she'll be happy about the news." Katie grinned.
"Just don't let her say anything to anyone about me personally approving her to be included in the list, especially with her co-models, we don't want other models and agents thinking about the company favoring a model via connections. It'll just harm Sara's career in the process because of the malicious rumors others will spread out of spite." Nate reminded her.
"I already told her about it, but I'll still remind her. "
"Now that that's done and out of the way, it's time we get your polaroid, model card and build your portfolio as a model. I'll call the photographer we usually work with the company and the models, you can be the first one to use all my newly made creations and collections at the showroom." Nate declared excitedly.
Katie frowned. "Why do I have to have a model card and portfolio? I'm only modeling for your collections."
Nate rubbed her head like he usually does when she says something so obvious, it was his way of patronizing her. "Who knows, you might have a use for them in the near future." He said like a prediction.
Katie agreed since from her previous life, she started getting modeling jobs and then some guesting and minor roles before she became a top model and actress that labeled her as an A-list actress. So Nate was on point there, so she didn't argue much with his reasoning.
"That means I need to get an agency who'll represent me, right?" She asked casually as she fixed her hair that Nate rumpled.
"No need. You'll be signing as an artists at Bane Entertainment. Luke's company represents a lot of artists on different field so you'll be fine there. Natsumi is also signed as an artists there." Nate declared.
Now, this is another difference. On her previous life, she was signed to a different entertainment company, that's where she met Sandra. Well, this is a step up since she really hated that company when there's a turn-over with the CEO position, so this was a good thing. Another plus side, there's Luke. Katie smiled at the thought. She bet Luke would be surprised when he return from his trip and learned that she was already a signed artist to his company. Katie chuckled at the thought. Nate looked at her like she'd gone mad.
"Now what?" He asked curiously with a raised brow.
Katie shook her head. "Nothing. I'm just imagining how surprised Luke will be when he return and learned that I'm already an artist at his company."
Nate also grinned widely at the thought. Now he suddenly remembered that they planned for Luke to get to know Katie better. This just gave them an opportunity, and he didn't even include that plam or ever thought about it on his decision before. "I'm such a genius. Now I just did something that will make the two of you become closer." He declared proudly with a nod.
"Wait until it's my turn to matchmake you to someone." Katie smiled mischievously.
"Then you've got a long way to go."
Katie shrugged. "You'll never know."
Then Katie remembered that signing on Luke's company also means that she'll have a different manager, too.
"Who will be my manager and agent?" Katie asked with a frown.
"Don't worry about it, we'll contact someone who'll be your manager, agent and publicist." Nate told her casually, like he already had some people in his mind.
"And what about my work as an intern here? What if it coincide with another schedule or it overlaps?" Katie just want to cover the bases so she asked Nate.
Nate waved his hand like he was telling her to not fret. "I'm sure before you start having work as a model, you'll probably be done with your required time as an intern her. And since your main job here is to create designs, so you can really do that anywhere if you really have to as long as you're on time when it comes to the submissions of your designs. You can forego the meetings and brainstormings if you really have some other schedules. But like I said, before you got booked for modeling jobs, you're probably done with your required time to pass your internship."
Katie nodded. "You're right. I shouldn't worry about it so soon. I'm like already counting eggs without even the chickens yet, or so the saying goes."
"And just in case, I'll also call someone to teach you how to catwalk, you know, just in case you suddenly decided to model for the runway." Nate suggested.
Katie shrugged noncommitaly.
Yeah, who knows. In this lifetime, anything can be possible.
