Chapter 14: Strike A Pose

Katie and Nate went to the 6th floor where the showroom was, where Nate's fashion design collections are displayed and hanged like it was in a clothes shop. Besides the showroom, there was also the studio for photo and video shoot, it was equipped with visual screen that could produce all types of locations and backgrounds that the photographer or videographer would choose. It also has a green and blue screen. There was also various props like it was a film set.

"Renz will be here in a while. He was in the area since he was just wrapping up from a photoshoot." Nate informed her as they made their way through the isle of clothes. "While we're waiting, choose all the clothes you like to wear on your photoshoot, for your Book."

Katie's eyes sparkled. "Can I keep the one's I'll choose?" She knew the answer but she has to ask them still. If Katie won't ask, how will the answer be what she already expected.

"We'll see what looks best on you then you can keep it." Nate told her with a smile.

"Are you sure?" She checked.

"Of course, you'll be modeling my collections anyway, think of it as an advance freebies." Nate winked as they continued down the isle. Nate was helping her carry the stuff she was choosing.

"Then don't expect me to hold back." Katie declared with a huge smile on her face. And then she went went around the showroom and picking everything she took a fancy to.

More than half an hour had passed, Renz - the photographer arrived with his two assistants.

Nate told him what the photoshoot was about and that Katie will be wearing and fashioning his new collections for Fashion Week. So, if ever, some of the photos would be included in Nate's fashion brand website where everyone can order the new collection that will be added to the previous products on the site.

After the photographer and his assistants saw the clothes and merchandise of the collection, they talked and planned on what the themes, backgrounds and props would be. While that was going on inside the studio, Katie was with the fashion stylist, make-up artists and hairstylist, primping her for the photoshoot. But earlier, before Katie was ushered to be primped and prepared for the photoshoot, Renz took polaroids of her in her current clothes without make-up which was removed in preparation for her new make-up, both with headshots and full body photo. He said it was also required when she went to a casting for models.

She knew about that from her previous life, so Katie didn't asked many questions, she just let them do their jobs.

It didn't take long before Katie was done with her hair and make-up, and she was wearing the first dress out of the 10 outfits she chose. There were dozen's of clothes to choose from Nate's new collections but this 10 outfits were the ones that Katie liked the best and she believed would suit her and look good on her.

Renz and his assistants was also done with the props and lightning.

Before Katie went to the space in the middle of all the lightings, behind where she will stand were the wide screen that could project images the photographer wants, she stopped before Nate who was standing on the side and watching the whole thing with enthusiasm, Katie knew the feeling, they both love arts so it wasn't a surprise that these preparations would fascinate him, especially that his creations are the foundations of everything that was being done here.

"So, what do you think?" Katie asked Nate as she posed and twirled around in front of him.

"You look stunning." Nate complimented her.

Katie grinned.

She loved wearing pretty clothes that looks good on her. She felt more confident knowing that she looked good. The same goes with shoes, she felt like she could walk better with good shoes, she loved shoes that felt comfortable on her feet. That was why Katie never wore shoes with higher than a 3 inch heels.

It didn't take long for the photoshoot to start, but it took a long time for them to finish because one clothes could end up being taken with hundreds of poses and photos in different angles, and Katie had ten set of clothes.

That was why it was not surprising that they only wrapped up in the afternoon, but it looked like Renz also enjoyed taking Katie's photos. He was always praising her, telling her that she was not a difficult subject because she was beautiful in whatever and wherever angle he took her photos. Renz told her that she was a photographer's dream model when it comes to photoshoots.

Katie was happy to hear that compliment. Even though she heard that kind of praises from her previous life, but still, she knew Renz was complimenting her genuinely because she was not yet a well known A-list artist this time.

"Here's my business card, Katie, if you need someone to take your photos professionally, then give me a call." Renz told her.

Katie accepted the card. "I'll keep that in mind."

"I'll send the photos in a few days after editing them." Renz informed them.

Nate shook Renz's hand, "Thanks for accepting the impromptu photoshoot."

"No worries. I don't have any other prior engagements after my last photoshoot anyway. I'm glad and honored that you chose to call me for Katie's photoshoot. I really enjoyed taking her photos, the camera loves her. I won't be surprise if she became popular and in demand as soon as everyone hears and knows about her. I just hope I'll be able to work with her again next time." Renz said with a smile while complimenting Katie.

Katie smiled at the compliment. "Thank you, Renz. It's really great working with you, too." She said praising Renz. "I also hope we can work together again."

What Katie said was true. This was the first time she worked with Renz, it seemed like their paths never crossed on her previous life. And what a delight to work with Renz, she really enjoyed the photoshoot. Katie never felt pressured or tired unlike with some of the other few photographers she worked with back on her previous life.

Renz nodded. "Thank you for the kind words."
