Chapter 3. Alpha Stanley's POV

After putting on some clothes, I sat down behind her and hugged her from the back. all my muscles relaxed Immediately I took in her strawberry scent. she seemed surprised and wanted to leave my arms.

" Please let me stay like this for a while" I begged.

she looked calm, peaceful, and worry-free under the night sky which added to her beauty.

"How are you feeling? "I asked, my head still on her neck while taking in her fragrant scent.

"Am fine "she replied in a low and calm voice that is like a piece of music to my ear that I can stay all day long with just listening and hearing her voice.

"I am glad that you are all right. you got me worried. why did you run off like that?" I asked worriedly.

"I just want to have some peace and some rest" she replied.

"Please don't be mad with what my dad said please "I pleaded, but she didn't say a word, but just smiled a little.

Her peaceful demeanor gave me peace of mind.

After some time, I stopped hugging her back and held her in my arms, while smoothing her hair.

After a while, I heard her steady breathing and I knew that she has fallen asleep. I carried her in my arms in bridal style and headed for the Pack house.

I took her to my room and lay her down on my bed, as I want her to be I went into the bathroom and took my shower. I came out and went to the bed. I put a hand on her waist and held her closer to me. she turned and also hugged my body tightly, after making herself comfortable in my arms. my lips raised into a smile.

I already fell in love with her, even without the mate bond. I also held her tight and fell asleep.

I woke up by 4 a.m. and dialed Robert's number.

"Hey man, it's too early. stay with your mate and leave me alone. I need to catch some more sleep before morning. Am hanging up the call now" he answered immediately he picked up the call.

"Don't even try it. Cancel all my appointment for the day and make a reservation for me at the restaurant "I ordered.

" What's happening, man?. Going on a date already? "he asked.

"It's not a date. today is my mate's birthday and please don't forget to order a princess dress for her with matching shoes and also hire a makeup artist to attend to her "I reminded.

"No wonder, because I was wondering why you didn't fill the mate pull yesterday " he reasoned.

"Please stop your blabbering. I want to go back to sleep with my mate "I said as I hanged up the call.

I went back to sleep with my mates. Feeling very happy within me.

By 6 a.m. a knock came on my door. I opened the door and saw my mum standing at the door, with her hands folded akimbo on her waist.

"Stanley what am I hearing?" she questioned.

"It depends on what you heard, what are you hearing? "I asked back.

" Answer my question. Is it true? "she asked again.

" Is what true? you did not ask any questions. How am I supposed to answer the question that wasn't asked?" I asked again, pretending not to know what she's talking about.

"Is it true that you found your mate? "she asked Inquiry.

"Yes, I found my mate and she's the sweetest being on earth "I answered.

"Don't tell me that it's that murderer that...."

"Please mum, she's not a murderer, and please reduce your voice, my mate is sleeping" I cautioned her before she could finish her sentence.

"she's what? don't tell me that she's in your room and still sleeping by this time" she said as she exploded with anger, walking into my room.

" where are you going to?" I asked stopping her in her tracks.

" am going into your room to drag her out and show her her place" she answered.

" no you ain't touching my mate" I replied.

" and why shouldn't I?" she asked.

"mum like I said earlier, she's still sleeping and I don't want her to wake up, even if she's up she's not leaving my room," I said as I close the door.

I went straight to the closet and selected a pair of shorts and a singlet and went outside the door.

" no one is allowed to go in or out of my room both my guest sleeping in the room, except the maid that will bring in her food and the makeup artist that will dress her up" I ordered the guards on duty before heading towards my study to attend to some Pack work.

around 7 a.m. Robert arrived at my study.

"Hey man, your scent is not different or mixed with your mates' scent and you are not marked yet. what happened? don't tell me that you didn't do anything last night "he questioned.

"she's tired and secondly I don't want to rush her. I want her to be willing to mate with me" I answered.

"wow, such a considerate mate" he chipped.

" please we are not here to discuss my personal affairs and my mate. so tell me, is everything ready?" I asked.

"yes they are "he answered.

"apart from the afternoon reservation are the other things ready?"I asked.

"yes, all of them are ready" he assured.

" ok I want to attend to some pack work before going out with my mate, please order some outfits for me and also arrange the car for me "I requested as I sped up with my work.

" alright alpha, it will be ready before you know it" he answered with a smile on his face.

" lover boy" he called as he left my office to implement my order.
