Chapter 2. Elena's POV

As he ordered, the Luna came in.

"Stanley what did you think that you are doing?". The Luna shouted from his back.

"Giving punishment mother" He answered walking towards the dispenser to drink some water.

"Punishment for what?, because of Elena, right?".

" No" he answered with one word.

"Then what? " she asked.

"For defying my orders ".

"Which is?". The Luna asked.

"I told her not to touch the maid and she didn't obey my orders and by so doing, she have directly disrespected my position and Disobeyed me" He answered heading for the door.

"Releas her right away".She ordered.

"No can do "he said going up the stairs and the Luna following him.

I went back to my room really exhausted. I did my evening chores and cook dinner for the Pack, cleared and washed the dishes. I was about to go into my room when Alpha Clifford entered the kitchen.

"Good evening Alpha "I greeted bowing my head.

"There will be a meeting in the meeting room today, by your active Alpha and the elders and they will need someone to serve them some water, coffee or other services. you should be there" He said.

"Yes Alpha, I will" I answered as he left.

I sped up my task and went to the meeting room to set it up for the meeting, after which I went to my room to freshen up. Tomorrow will be my birthday, I'm happy not because I will celebrate my birthday, but because I want to know what it feels like to be 18 years. After taking my breathe I wore a pink knee-length dress, packed my hair into a ponytail and wore my favourite white slippers.

I went to the Pack house and went to the meeting room to confirm if everything is in order. After making sure of it, I kept bottled water in front of each seat. when I'm done I waited by the door. Around 11 p.m. the elders started arriving after the seven elders arrived. Alpha Stanley and his beta Robert arrived with his father Alpha Clifford.

The meeting kicked off while I waited at the door. 45 minutes later the beta. Robert. told me to make 5 cups of coffee for them. I went downstairs to the kitchen and made 5 cups of coffee. on my way up the stairs, I perceived the most enticing smell of the woods and fresh air, I knew that's not the woods, it's the smell of someone and it's strong that it covered my nostrils.

' but why was it so strong' I asked myself.

On getting to the door, I noticed that the smell got stronger and it seems like it's coming beyond the door. I opened the door and close the door behind me, I looked up and met the Alpha's eyes, and he's standing up, as he had lost his concentration on the meeting and I also seem to be glued to the floor. He started walking towards me slowly. I felt a sensation in my heart, as if my heart is about to explode.

"Stanley stop right there" His father. Alpha Clifford's deep voice stopped him in his tracks. He stopped but didn't turn around, he was still looking at me.

Alpha Stanley's POV.

"Stanley stop right there"my dad stopped me my tracks to meet my mate. I have been waiting for her for over 2 years. I was so happy and excited. My dad stopping me In my tracks seems to anger my wolf.

"She can't be your mate "my dad continued.

A low growl escape my lips when he said that. I saw the sadness in my mates face. she walked forward, she passed me and drop the tray in her head on the table and left the room. I felt a pang of pain in my heart when she closed the door behind her. I went back to my chair confused and distracted. The next minute I noticed that my mates presence is no longer there. I immediately stood up and headed for the door.

" Stanley, where are you going to? the meeting is not yet over "my dad reminded.

"The meeting is dismissed "I answered opening the door, not waiting for his reply.

I look at the hallway and found out that she's not there. I went straight to her room. I opened her door and found out that she's not in her room. I tried mind linking her, but she blocked the link. I panicked.

'I don't know anything about her, where she likes going to, or even her friend, Wait her friend' I thought as I headed for Rebecca's room.

When I got to her door, I knocked on it and she opened the door.

"Good morning Alpha "she greeted.

"Please, where is your friend?, have you seen her this night? "I asked panicked and totally frustrated.

"No Alpha, the last time I saw her was in the kitchen, when she was washing the dishes and I reminded her to sleep on time that this morning will be her birthday "she replied.

No wonder I didn't know that she was my mate until 12 a.m. this morning. and am glad that I saved her from Esther, or else she will hate me forever.

"Isn't she in her room? "she asked.

"No she's not "I answered.

"Did you know where she can be? "I asked almost immediately.

"She likes going to the pond in the woods" she answered.

"Alright, thank you so much, you can go back to sleep now" I advised and left and headed for the woods.

I removed my clothes at the entrance of the woods,so that I won't shred them into pieces. After removing my clothes, I hide them behind a tree and shifted into my wolf and sprinted off into the woods.

I ran for about five minutes, before I reached the pond. And breathed a sign of relief, when I saw her sitting down and looking at the night sky. she seems to be thinking about something. she turned around when she noticed my presence. I walked towards her in my wolf form. she raised her hand and touched my fur and my wolf let out a pleased and satisfied pur.

she giggled and continued smoothing my fur. My wolf lean on my hand. After sometime I shifted back to my human form, without any clothes on. she blushed looking at my appearance and looked away immediately. I love her innocence.

"Please don't look away from me please "I pleaded.

"Put on some clothes "she said calmly. Her voice was very melodious. the atmosphere made her feel at peace and calm. I went behind a tree and searched for clothes after sometime I found a short. I wore it and came out bare chested.
