(Angela) “Happy Birthday to you,” sang Lou and I to a half-asleep Charles. My baby was turning 5 today and I didn't know how to feel. He was growing up so fast. It felt like it was just yesterday that I was crying my eyes out in the ultrasound room as I listened to his heartbeat through the monitor. “Happy Birthday to you sweetheart,” I said as I hugged Charles with tears dropping from my eyes. “Don’t tell me you’re crying Ange,” Lou said in a whine. “He’s growing up so fast, I can’t help it,” She rolled her eyes at me. “You do this every birthday,” Well, that was true. Every 14th of May in the last 5 years always met me with mixed emotions. My mind flashed back to when I went into labor five years ago. I had been in labor for close to 12 hours and I had become exhausted. I rememb
