I stood at the door with the phone still in my hand looking surprised.
“What are you doing back here? I thought you were in Italy?”
Leo chuckled as he gave me a hug.
“Hello to you too cariño,”
I returned the hug still confused. Did he actually travel for work?
“I just landed in New York an hour ago. I didn’t want to miss the little guy’s birthday. He asked me to visit him on his birthday remember?”
I nodded as I remembered Charles asking Leo to come over to the house on his birthday and how surprised I was that he took a liking to Leo immediately after they met.
“So where’s the birthday boy?” he said looking around as he stepped in.
