Ammaline Pearson:
I was having lunch in my office and my phone rang.
"An unknown number. Who might this be?" I looked at my phone and answered it.
"Hello, who's this?" I said.
"Hello, Ammaline! It's me Aunt Helen." I freaked out when I heard this, but I tried to remain calm. It was 2 weeks ago when I last talked to her.
"Ohh! Auntie, do you need any help from me?" I asked politely.
"Hmm yes! I ran out of vitamin supplements." she said.
"Auntie, I'll check your record which vitamin supplements do you use and then I'll let someone deliver it to you."
"Ammaline, I need it as soon as possible. Would you mind deliver it to our house this evening by your own hands?"
"Hmm Auntie...." I didn't how to reject this so I kind of hesitant.
"You can't come?"
"Auntie, I'm a little bit busy and tonight I have a night shift."
"Ohh I see! It's okay. I can let someone go take it from the hospital." she said.
"Ok, Auntie! You can just let your driver come. I'll prepare the supplements for you."
"You have a night shift tonight. Does that mean you'll be at the hospital all day long?" she asked.
"Yes. Your driver can come and ask for me anytime." I told her.
"Well! Then, please send the supplements through my driver."
"Ok, Auntie! No problem and sorry that I can't deliver it to you by myself." I apologized.
"I understand, Ammaline. Take care!"
"You too, auntie. Goodbye!" Mrs. Parker ended the call.
Eric Parker :
My phone kept vibrating and I've been ignoring it for a while.
"Who on earth is this person?" I grabbed my phone and saw mom's number on the screen.
"Ohh no! she's gonna kill me for sure." I said before answering the phone.
"Hi mom!" I greeted my mom knowing that I'm going to get scolded.
"Ahh! Brat, you finally answered my phone." she said. "Do you know how many times have I called you?"
"I don't know, mom. I was busy reading some documents."
"Am I not important enough to you? Is that why you keep ignoring me?" she said angrily.
"No, no, mom, don't think like that. You're the only woman who got my heart." I laughed at the joke that I just made to calm my mother.
"Chersssss!" she made a disgusted sound.
"It's true, mom." I paused. "If you don't believe me, I can prove it to you." I chuckled.
"REALLY?"
"YES!" I said confidently.
"How are you going to prove it?" she challenged me.
"Mom, I know that you wouldn't call me for no reason. You're here to ask me to do something again otherwise you wouldn't bother me at this time of the day." I said proudly like I just got an A+ on a math test and came back home to show my mom.
"So, I can't call you when you're working. Is that what you mean?"
"Mom, stop it! I know that you barely call me when it's working hour." I gave my mom my reason.
"This brat."
"Mom, what do you want me to do? Tell me now! I'll do it for you to prove you that I love you, not to mention without complaining." I demanded.
"Okay, it's good to hear that."
"Hurry and tell me now before I change my mind. I have a lot of work to deal with."
"It's easy." she paused. "Go to the Emerald Hospital and get me my supplements."
"That's all?" I asked.
"YES!" she replied.
"Can't you ask your driver or the maid to do it?" I asked curiously.
"No. My private nurse will prepare it for you once you get there."
"Ok! But why don't you ask Miss Pearson to do it for you? She's from that hospital, isn't she?" I felt lost for some reasons.
"She's busy. Go there and ask for someone who take care of my documents. They probably know about it." she demanded.
"Okay, mom. An easy task. If that's all, may I go back to work?" I asked permission from my mom.
"Yishh! Go!" she made an irritate sound.
"Goodbye, mom! Love you." I ended the call.
I worked for another 3-4 hour and then got ready to pick up mom's supplements.
"Nathan, working hour is over go and rest." I told Nathan who is my personal assistant before leaving the office.
"Ok, Boss! I'll leave when I'm done with my works." he replied.
"You're acting like this again. This is why people think that I give you loads of work and they say that I'm a bad boss." I said.
"Boss, who dares to talk like that to you?" he laughed.
"I'm leaving now."
"Drive safely, boss." I nodded.
I took my blazer off when I reached my car in the parking lot. I threw the blazer in the backseat of my car once I entered the car and only a black shirt remained on my body. I started the engine and drove to Emerald Hospital.
I arrived at the hospital, parked my car and got in the hospital.
"Excuse me, I'm here to pick up some supplements for Mrs. Parker. She said that the person who takes care of her health will prepare it." I said to a nurse who sat in the reception counter.
"Ok, please wait for a minute." she checked her computer.
"The one who's in charge of Mr. and Mrs. Parker is Miss Pearson, sir. Please wait. I'll inform her that you're here." I nodded and she called someone.
'Mom probably wants me to meet her that's why she asked me to come here. Nice try, Mom!' I said myself silently.
A few minutes later, a beautiful young lady walked to the same nurse that I talked to.
"Where is he?" that beautiful lady asked the nurse and the nurse signaled at me showing that I'm the one. She got what the nurse meant and walked toward me who was sitting on a waiting chair next to a counter.
"Emm... This is Ammaline Pearson. I'm the one who's in charge for controlling Mr. and Mrs. Parker's health." she informed me. "You must be the driver that Mrs. Parker sent to pick the supplements, right?" she added.
I was stunned hearing what she just said.
'She thinks that I'm a driver? Do I look like one?' I thought to myself and couldn't believe what this woman just said.
"Hmm I'm here to take the supplements." I said trying to avoid saying that I'm a driver since I also don't want her to know that I'm Eric Parker. 'Can't believe that she doesn't know who I am.' I felt disappointed for some reasons.
'Wait! Why do I have to feel this way?' Some random questions just ran over my head.
