I wanted to tell them the truth, they would find out anyways so there was no need to hide it. I wanted them to hear it directly from me.
"I and Sean are step siblings." As soon as the words left my mouth, I felt a sense of relief. It was like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders, and I could finally breathe again.
The girls around the table were silent for a moment, and I could tell that they were processing the information. Then, one of them spoke up. "Wow, that's actually really sweet. You guys must be close, to have such a special relationship."
