I was a little bit disappointed when the teacher announced that I wouldn't be paired with Andrew anymore. We had just started to get to know each other, and I felt like we could have been good partners. But then, the teacher explained the new twist, and my disappointment turned to curiosity. Who would I be paired with now?
I looked around the room, trying to figure out who had the opposite snack from me. I held up my piece of paper, which read "Oreos." I saw a few people holding up papers that said "chips," but I wasn't sure which one was my new partner. The suspensewas killing me, and I was starting to feel a little anxious.
