After being discharged, Nathan took me to the pack house on his floor. Luckily, the other rooms on his floor were empty and Zade, Gus and Brian could have those. He then took me to our room. "My mom went shopping for you, I hope you don't mind". He said a little nervous as we walked inside. "Whoa, this is huge", I said as I entered our room and looked around. Nathan quickly showed me around before he stopped at a set of doors." I have been informed that you need to get cleaned up and dressed for the ceremony. My mom will be in to help you to get dressed and ready after your bath. Everything that you need is already in there", Nathan explained as he opened the bathroom door and kissed my cheek. "I am not allowed to see you now until the ceremony. But I will be waiting for you", he added sweetly. Now I really just want to cry. But maybe a hot bath would help, I thought to myself as I walked into the bathroom.
I turned the water on in the hot tub and grabbed a couple of the bath bombs and threw them in the running water. I went back to my closet to grab some pj's. When I walked back in the bathroom, I made sure to grab some soap, shampoo, and all the bath essentials. I slowly began to undress as the tub was nearly full. As my clothes dropped to the floor, the surrounding mirrors reminded me of my previous life up until today as I looked at the scars all over my body. The latest lashes were still healing and were bright red. I traced them with my fingertips as I thought about what had happened and how I had gotten them.
I got into the tub and turned on the jets. Thankfully, each button said what it did. I had never been in one until now. The Luna from my old pack had one, but I was not even allowed in her bathroom yet alone to touch her tub. I sank into the hot bubbling water. It felt so good to my entire body. I closed my eyes as I thought about everything that had taken place. "The doctor is right" Star said quietly. "What are you talking about, Star" I asked quickly and worried. "We are receiving new powers. I'm so much stronger now. I can't explain it. But as soon as we got here, it started. Can't you feel it?' She asked me. My wolf was right. I did feel stronger now than I have ever felt. I had put it to finding Nathan though. "I feel your doubt, but trust me, we are both changing. Look at your Mark" Star told me. I sat up in the tub and looked in the surrounding mirrors. I gasped when I saw my Mark. The thing had gotten huge and more colorful. It was now trimmed in gold that sparkled like the stars. I rubbed the area and watched as sparks came from my fingers as they traced the outlines. "It is beautiful" I told Star, who agreed instantly. "Please Star, we have to be careful. We are under direct orders to report any changes in your behavior. You have to promise to behave yourself." I informed my wolf. She agreed. I finished my bath and began drying off. There was a soft knock on my door. "Jenna, it's Chrissy, may I come in?" She asked through the door. I sighed. Great, the last thing I wanted was to hear more criticism from my future mother-in-law, but I opened the door anyway.
."Jenna, I'm sorry that we got off on the wrong foot and that was completely my fault. I am truly sorry, and I hope that we can restart", She said sincerely. I could feel that she was truly being honest. "I told you we were gifted". Star spoke up in the back of my mind. "Of course we can. It was as crazy for me as it was for you", I told her, accepting her apology. "Well then, let's get you ready then, shall we," she said as she walked to my closet and began putting together what I was to wear. When she pulled out a sleeveless top, I had to interrupt her. "I'm sorry Chrissy, but I can't wear something like that", I told her as I let down the shoulders of my robe. She turned back to the closet and grabbed a short sleeve jacket that matched the outfit perfectly. "How's that?" she asked, making sure that I approved. "I love it. Thank you". I quickly got dressed and I looked at myself in the mirror. I appeared to be physically changing somehow. My breast were now even bigger, my scars looked to be fading, my face even seemed to be fuller. "In trying to tell you we are changing" Star said once again interrupting my thoughts. "OK what do you know that I don't" I asked her. "I don't know what it is honestly, but I told you we were going to have a big change" she answered. She was not acting crazy or worried, so there was no need for me to alert the Beta or the doctor. After Chrissy finished my hair and make up I was finally ready. "How are we doing this without the Alpha present" I asked curiously. "One of our Elders from the council has said he would perform the ceremony. Elder Micah" Chrissy informed me. I know she could see the shock on my face, but she did not say a word. Instead she opened the door and motioned for me to go.
