Chapter 12.

The pack house was empty. Everyone was outside waiting for the ceremony. We stopped at the door and waited. "Cameron will be escorting you onto the stage" she said as Cameron came to the door. "Are you ready," He asked, looking at me. I nodded. He offered his arm for me to take as we walked to the stage to meet Nathan. My heart skipped a beat when I saw him on the stage waiting as he had promised. He was holding a bouquet of roses. "These are for you" he said as he handed them to me and took my hand. I felt the shocks run through our hands and immediately my mark began to burn. Elder Micah stepped up in front of us and smiled at me. I looked into his eyes, and again I could see a glimpse of images. The last image I saw was one of the dream I had about the royal family. However, the faces in his images were not clear, but it still shocked me. He squeezed his eyes shut as if he realized what I had done, Elder Micah turned and faced the crowd and began to give his speech. When it was time for the blood part of the ceremony, Beta Cameron presented Elder Micah with the dagger. As Elder Micah sliced my hand and the blood spilled onto the earth, I'm not exactly sure what happened. But all anyone could see was this bright light. My body was full of Shockwaves, hitting me one after another. My wolf howled like never before. That was all I could hear for I don't know how long. When the light died and the shocks stopped, I felt like my entire side was on fire. Elder Micah looked at me strangely. As I looked around, I saw that it was not only him, but everyone was staring at me. "Jenna are you ok?" I finally heard Elder Micah speaking to me. "What just happened." I asked. He didn't say a word, but his smile grew bigger and bigger as he just continued with the ceremony. As Elder Micah cut Nathan's hand and then joined his hand to mine, if what I felt earlier took me by surprise this only magnified it by a hundred. The shocks knocked me backwards a little and Beta Cameron caught me thankfully. I watched as Nathan began to glow this soft white glow around him as well as me. "What is happening " I kept asking, but no one was answering. Everyone was mesmerized by this white glow. As the light faded, cheers erupted through the night air. "Now will someone please tell me what just happened" I asked again. "What are you talking about, Jenna" Nathan asked, confused. "Do I need to get Dr. Henry" Beta Cameron asked, looking just as confused. "I don't think that is necessary, Beta. Jenna is probably just feeling the bonds with all the pack members, and it probably overwhelmed her. Isn't that right dear" Elder Micah asked, turning to me. I knew he was lying and covering up something, but I also could tell that it was for my own good. "Trust him", Star said softly, still recovering from the shock as well. "That is correct. I'm OK." I answered as I looked at Elder Micah. He winked at me and then, just like before, he vanished. "OK Star, I need the truth from someone. What is going on? Are we OK" I asked, almost in a panic. "We are fine. Everything is getting to be as it should be " She answered before she retreated to the back of my mind.
Zade, Brian and Gus came up to me with a strange expression on their faces. "What's wrong guys" I asked them, worried. "We came to ask you the same thing. I don't know what, but something weird is going on. I can feel every emotion that you are having. I know what you are thinking " Zade said in a whisper. Gus and Brian nodded their heads, agreeing with what Zade was saying. "It's the protector bonds" Star whispered. "Protector bonds? What is that" I asked, but I got no response. "Do you three know what a protector bond is" I asked Zade and the other two. They all three shook their heads' no. I looked up to see the doctor standing by the wall. "Well, I am about to go find out" I said, as I started to walk towards the doctor.
