Shane:
"Are you guys okay?" Aaron asked as soon as we walked into the house. Aren seemed to be mind linking the other girls. We all went straight for my study. Aren of course walking in first.
"Aren, think about what you're doing before you open your mouth," Gary shouted walking in through the door. Aren growled at her.
"You're forgetting your place," Aren stated. Gary lowered her head.
"Forgive me Alpha, but really think about this,"
"I'm ready to go when you need me gone," Marie said walking in with Lambie. My head is spinning from all of this.
"Aren, what's going on?" Aaron asked beating me to it.
"Gary is right, Aren. You're not only outing yourself but all four of us," Lambie said.
"We have no choice. This is bigger than us. You guys know I would never do this unless I needed to. We want to stay here. This is the only way. We don't lie to one another why lie to what we want to be our family," her statement baffled me.
"Aren, last night you said you didn't want to be part of this big ass pack," Lambie said.
"What?" both Aaron and I growled.
"That was before I knew Shane was my mate,"
"So, what? You're going to change who you are. How is that fair to you?" Marie asked looking over at Aaron with anger.
"It's not just about me anymore. Look at where we are. We are in our home. This has always been our home. We ran from here because we were scared. That's who we were when we left. We made the change then,"
"Aren, that was different. Do not compare what we were as kids to what we are now," Gary growled.
"He hasn't marked you, Aren. He can still reject you for this," Lambie said.
"No one is rejecting anyone. Just tell me what's going on. The more you guys speak. The more I lose it. Speak," I growled three growls fired back at me.
"So, what's it going to be? We stay or we take this somewhere else?" Aren asked.
"I want to stay," Lambie answered scratching the back of her neck.
"Me too. My little sisters are here," Marie said.
"Gary?"
"I don't want to see you get hurt, Aren. You're different. You've always been different. What if he can't accept that? We fit in anywhere. You bottle up until you're surrounded by bodies," Aren looked over at her before she looked down at her feet with what looks like shame.
"Gary, we can get him and his wolves killed for this. There are women and pups here. We'll leave if you don't want to be here, but you need to decide right now,"
"You're not going anywhere, Aren," I said.
"Gary?" Aren asked calmly ignoring me. The two of them stared at one another before Gary shrugged.
"I don't want to leave either. Andrew's family is here. I've never seen him so happy before," Gary said stroking her flat belly.
"Is that your final answer?" Aren asked making the girl look back up at her.
"Yes, Alpha," she confirmed.
"What's going on, Aren? I won't ask again," I demanded.
"Sit down. I have something to tell you," she still looking at Gary.
"Aren Glass. Get your ass out here before I start killing wolves," a voice shouted from outside. I smiled to myself.
"Damien," Lambie laughed looking towards the front door.
"Today is going to be a long f*****g day," Aren sighed. "Gary, if I see you come outside I'm locking you up,"
"What's going on Aren?" Aaron asked angrily now he grabbed her arm looking her dead in the eyes. She didn't take it as a challenge.
"Before you hear it from him. I'm The Rogue Ry. The reason all the wolves have made a decision to attack you isn't because Aren Glass is your mate, but because Ry has chosen a side," I didn't know what to say or how to react.
"That's impossible. Ry showed up seven years ago. You were twelve," I said.
"Yeah, I first shifted when I was ten. Cali has a temper and sometimes I let her take over completely,"
"Tell me that's not true, Aren. No way," Aaron said his eyes shifting darker as he looked her in the eye with a desperation I had never seen before.
"I'm sorry, A. That rogue out there. His name is Damien," she walked out leaving me in total shock.
"Alpha we have to do something," Aaron said.
~Take formation. Protect your Luna. Aren Glass is your Luna~ I sent out. Moments later several howls erupted outside.
My mate. The Rogue Ry. The most notorious killer of leaders is my mate.
Aren:
Several of Shane's wolves surrounded the perimeter. Damien has a handful of wolves with him. I know enough about him to know a handful of can cause some real damage to get Damien to escape and retaliate.
"Damien," I greeted when Shane stood behind me.
"Ry, what are you doing here?" he growled extending his arms out motioning everything around us.
"I'm here with my mate. I believe you've met him, Shane Blake. Shane this is a friend of mine. Damien Galloway,"
"Your job was to kill him," Damien growled at me.
"No, that was your job. As I remember Shane almost killed you. You failed. I'm kind of glad you did,"
"You can't be his Luna Aren. You're a Rogue by heart. This will never be enough for you. Are you going to let him domesticate you?"
"I've never been a Rogue. You know that better than anyone. I've always been an Alpha. I was born to lead. Don't forget who taught you everything you know,"
"Aren, they're all coming for both of you. We have forty-eight hours to take one or both of you out. It's a twenty-two million dollar hit. One pack cannot have all this power,"
"Since when do you interfere with pack politics, Damien?"
"Since I'm getting paid twenty-two million dollars to capture the Alpha's mate, Aren Glass," we both laughed.
"You had me going there for second, Damien,"
"I did learn from the best Glass," I sighed. "Pack life isn't too bad. Jeremiah makes it seem a little fun,"
"You're taking Marie with you,"
"Marie as in slutty Mary?" I growled at him.
"She's your superior. Where are your manners? Get Marie out here I want eyes on Jeremiah at all times. If one of you can get as close as shaking his d**k after he takes a piss I want it done,"
"I'm lost," Shane said shaking his head.
"Damien used to be my coffee boy. I taught him how to blend in with packs. He gets me the information I need,"
"You keep mentioning my uncle,"
"Shane your uncle called me this morning. He asked me, Ry, to kill Aren Glass and you for Thirty Million dollars. You need to call your father because he called Bria to kill him for ten million. Bria, you know her as Lambie," He turned to look at her. Lambie smiled.
"Hi," she waved playfully.
"Go now. Do as I said. I have to go talk to my brother," I said.
"Glass, should we send out an alert?" Damien asked taking my attention.
"Not yet. We don't need to scatter everyone for no reason. I'll do it myself when I'm ready,"
"Yes, ma'am," he said looking over at Marie. "For what it's worth, I'm he does exist. We were worried about you. This is better than death,"
"We'll see," I said. "Marie,"
Marie motioned him to follow her. She walked down the walkway in the direction that leads towards her parent's house. The wolves who had come with him followed them once they were far enough. I sighed this is going to be stressful. Not just for Shane and I but with my brother. The look on his face was enough to break me apart a few times.
I walked into the house to see my brother. Aaron his green and amber eyes matching my own, rimmed red, tears running down his face. I had been dreading this day and here it is. Time to face the one person I vowed I would never hurt. Here I am breaking his heart. Confusing him more than I was when I was a pup. I had painted a picture for him.
I let him believe I was the person he wanted me to be and now I have to tell him his big sister isn't the person he thinks she is. I have to tell my little brother that his sister is the reason why he doesn't have any parents. That his sister doesn't think twice or hesitate when it comes down to killing someone with her bare hands. I have to shatter the perfect world I had built around him.
