The Royal Twins

Chapter 3

(Rose)

I roll over and stretch and I notice that Ash is not in the room.

I roll to get out of bed. It takes a few tries before I can pull myself up and out of the bed. I sigh as I rise to my feet. I growl as I hear Lilly laughing at me.

"You really need to stop laughing at me." I mumble to her.

"We are the same person, so you can't do anything." She says back.

I decide to leave her alone. She has been more moody lately. For now, I will just give her the silent treatment. Her attitude will change later today.

I grab my clothes for the day and go into the bathroom to get ready. After lunch today I will have to get ready for the Luna ceremony and baby shower.

Once I am ready I walk out of the bathroom. Now that I am ready for the day, I can head out to find Ash and eat some breakfast.

But as I open the door I am stopped in my tracks. I smile as I walk out. Ash brought me breakfast.

I walk over to him and give him a hug and a kiss.

"Thank you," I say to him as I sit down at our small table.

"Not a problem. I figured I would spend some time alone with you this morning before our moms step in and I don't get to see you the rest of the day." He tells me with a smile.

"I appreciate that. I know our moms will be up here after lunch to help me get ready. I think I am planning to go for a walk after breakfast. Do you still have to meet with your dad?" I ask.

"Yes, I do. We have to finish some of the final plans for the ceremony." He tells me.

"So I will see you at lunch?" I ask him.

"Not today, I have to run the perimitor of the kingdom to be sure all the guards are in correct spots. And Maggy wants to meet with me to see how much of a barrier they need to make." Ash explaines to me.

"Do I need to help in any way?" I ask him.

"Just relax and focus on you and the babies." He tells me with a smile.

We make small talk as we finish eating our breakfast. Once we have finished eating, we place everything back on the tray. We head to the door.

As we open the door I see Craig and Alex waiting for us.

"I'll take that," Alex says grabbing the tray from Ash.

"I love you, just link me if you need anything." Ash tells me pressing his lips to my temple.

"Will do," I say while hugging him.

I watch as he turns and walks away towards the office.

"Are you two ready for our walk? We can drop the tray off in the kitchen on the way out the back door." I say while walking towards the stairs.

Craig and Alex follow me without words. Over the last few weeks they have gotten used to our daily walks. We normaly walk in the garden, or over to my training grounds in the woods.

Raymond and I have gained control over all of my gifts from Selene, so he suggested I take a few weeks away from training to prepare for the babies. So today we will just walk through the garden.

We pass through the kitchen and out the back door. I smile as the warmth of the sun hits my face. The weather is starting to cool off, but as a werewolf I now stay warm even in the cold.

I watch as people move around to prepare and decorate for the baby shower and the luna ceremony.

"Know of any place that is less crowded right now?" I ask Alex.

He tells me, "The only place would be in the woods with the vampires."

I nod at him in understanding. "Then that is where we will go," I say.

The three of us walk quietly along the pathway to the vampires.

We enter the clearing where the vampires have taken up residence. I smile as Raymond and the three brothers walk up to me. These four always stop what they are doing to greet me or help me with any of my trainings.

"How are you today Rose?" Raymond asks.

"I am okay, just trying to get a bit of space before the festivities today." I say with a smile.

"Can we come to the baby shower? Raymond was invited, but not us." Levi says to me.

"Yes, you are welcome as well. Anyone who wants to join us can come." I say with a smile.

The three brothers walk off to finish whatever they were doing when I arrived. Raymond continued to stay with us. I walk over to a fallen tree and sit down. With my belly as rounded as it is I cannot stay standing on my feet as long any more.

"Any day now those two will be here." Raymond says with a smile.

"Yes, I am so excited. I think I know what their names are, I just haven't talked to Ash about it yet." I say while rubbing my belly.

"Well maybe you should wait until they are born, it may make it easier to give them a name once you see their adorable faces." Alex says to me.

"Yeah, that's what Ash keeps saying." I say.

"I think it's time to head back to the palace. I feel like I need a nap." I say while standing up.

"All you do anymore is sleep and eat." Craig mutters under his breath.

"I am also growing two whole people inside my body." I feel Lilly come forward and growl at him.

"I am sorry Lilly, Rose you know I mean no harm. " Crig says to me.

"Let's just get back to the palace so that Lilly and I can both rest." I say once Lilly has retreated back into my mind.

The three of us walk back to the palace in silence. Once inside the palace, I walk up to our suite.

"I am going to sleep. Please have lunch brought up to me." I tell Alex as we walk into the suite. The two of them go to the couch and turn on the TV. I walk into my room and crawl into bed.

In no time at all I am in a deep sleep.
