The Royal Twins

***ATTENTION*** **THIS IS BOOK 2. IF YOU HAVE NOT READ BOOK 1- THE FALL BALL PLEASE DO SO BEFORE STARTING THIS BOOK. THIS IS A CONTIUATION OF THAT BOOK*** (Rose) It's been a few days since Mary and I sat down and talked with Maggy. Ash and I are on our way to Maggy and Opal's house. We are about to have supper and talk to Opal. "Are you feeling okay?" Ash asks me as we walk down the trail. "Yeah, I am okay. Just a little tired." I say with a smile as I rub my belly. "I'm sure you are. We have a little over a week before the twins are born," he responds with a smile. "I know, I am so excited. We have the Luna ceremony and baby shower tomorrow. Then I can just relax and wait to meet them. We still have to come up with names for them." I say to him as we walk up to the door of Maggy's house. "My King and Queen, please come in." Maggy says with a small bow. We walk in and I see Opal working in the kitchen. She smiles at us and continues to work. Maggy leads us into a sitting room. Ash sits down. I take a seat next to him. Maggy walks past us and comes back with a tray full of cookies and tea. I smile as I look at the tray. "Your Mom told me that oatmeal chocolate chip cookies are your favorite." She says with a grin. "Yes they are." I say as I reach for one. Opal shouts from the kitchen, "Don't eat too many of them, the food will be ready soon." Maggy, Ash and I have small talk while we wait for Opal to call us in to eat. Doesn't take long, she calls us to the kitchen to sit at the table. We all sit down at the kitchen table. As I look at the table, I notice that it is full of my favorite foods. There is grilled chicken, baked potatoes, salad and a bowl of fresh fruit. I look at Opal and see that she is smiling at me. "I know that these have been your favorite foods and cravings since you found out you were pregnant." She tells me. "You didn't have to do all this. Thank you so much." I say to her. Soon we all had our fill of the amazing meal. Maggy asks us, "Should we go back to the sitting room and talk or do you want to stay here?" "Actually do you have a place outside that we can sit at? I think some fresh air would be nice." Ash asks her. "Yes, we have some chairs out on the back porch." Opals says to us. We all stand up and walk out the back door. We all take a seat. Maggy hands us all cups of tea that she brought out for us. We thank her. The silence is soon broken by Opal. She asked her mom, looking at Maggy, "So is this about the brunch you had with Mary?" "Kind of," I say to her. "Well, I already know that I am part witch and part wolf. I am aware that my mom has my dad's wolf and not her own. And I know that you are a royal." Opal says looking at me. "How do you know all that?" Ash asks her. "When I got my wolf I knew I was different. My wolf reached out to my mom, only to find out that it was actually my dad's wolf. Then i found my moms diary. I figureed it was something she didnt want to talk about so I never brought it up." Opal tells us with a shrug. "And royals are the only known wolves to get their wolves when they turn eighteen. Then, I assumed you were a royal, but I believe you are so much more than that. You are more powerful than others and your energy feels like magic," Opal says. "Well you are correct I am a royal." I say with a smile to her. "But you are not a normal royal are you?" She asks looking at all of us. "No I am not. Have you heard of the stone's protector?" I ask. "Yes I have. It's a magical wolf created by Selene to protect her powers that she placed into a magical stone to keep them away from her sister Sol." Opal answers me. "Very good. Well I possess that wolf. Lilly is the protector of the stone." I say.  "So that makes the twins extraordinary. And that explains why we have had so many vampires around the kingdom. So what is going to happen? Is Sol after you?" Opal asks looking at me. "Sol is dying. She is losing her control over the witches and vampires. Your mother has offered to help make a protection spell to help protect Rose and the babies until after they are born. We are hoping that Sol stays away and just dies. But in time we will see what happens. The kingdom does not have any information about Rose and her gifts." Ash tells her. "Yeah, the protector of the stone is given gifts to help them protect the stone. So what gifts do you have?" Opal asks me. "That we can talk about at another time. I am feeling extremely tired right now. I think it is time that we head back to the palace. We have a long day tomorrow." I tell her. We get ready to leave and stand up. They stand up and follow us to the front of the house. "Remember if you need anything at all. Don't be afraid to call. I will help in any way that I can." Maggy tells us before she walks back into the house. "Thank you for coming to talk to me. I am here for you, anything you need just ask." Opal says giving me a hug. We say our goodbyes and start our walk back to the palace.
