ISABELLA P.O.V
I woke up and I found myself on a hospital bed. The morning sun was coming in through the window but there was no one in the room except a man dressed in a medical outfit.
He was tall, with an athletic body, shaped like a model in his early thirties. His spiky hairstyle fitted him well, and even if he was a stranger, I couldn't help but stare in admiration.
He had just finished putting the files he was holding into a drawer when he saw me. “You are awake,” His eyes brightened as he took quick strides to my bed. “How are you feeling?” He asked, staring at me like we had known each other forever.
“I am okay, thanks for asking,” I frowned, gently taking the drip off my body as I sat up from the bed.
“What are you doing? You have to rest.”
“I am sorry but I cannot remain here,” I replied. I struggled on my feet, and about to take a step I staggered and he caught me.
“Miss you are still weak,” he tried to talk me out of leaving but I won't let him. I still remember everything. I remember Benjamin calling out to me for help. My son needs me. I have to go back for him.
I steadied my feet on the ground as I left the room, but as I walked outside, I ran into Jacob. He was holding a tray of food in his hand. His eyes lit in surprise as soon as he saw me. “Isabella, it's good to see you are awake. I was just bringing you some food,” he said politely and I frowned.
I looked into his eyes. I can't believe that after everything that happened last night, he has the nerves to ask me to eat. “What is this? Does this seem like a joke to you?” I said in grief and his smile faded. “I don't need food Jacob, I need my son back,” I said as I walked past him.
“Isabella please, there are other ways to take care of this, we will get him back,” he followed me to the river bank. “Alpha Klaus is dangerous, and it is a miracle that we were able to escape from him.”
“A miracle,” Tears welled up in my eyes and I looked back at him. “My son is in the hands of a cruel alpha and you call that a Miracle?” I asked, shaking my head in disbelief.
“Please don't do this,” he pleaded but I refused.
“I will save my son with or without your help, and don't even think of trying to stop me,” I wiped the tears off my eyes, and then walked past him again.
I was about walking into the woods, when the young man who had taken care of me, stopped me. “I am sorry for intervening, and I know this is none of my business, but I think you have to listen to your friend.”
“No, I won't, and this does not concern you. You have done enough already, and I am grateful that you saved me, but that is as far as it goes. Just stay away from me,” I said and afterwards I left the cross road. I took a vehicle heading to the Wells pack.
I had to meet my mate Alpha Derek. I have to tell him that our son Benjamin is being held captive in the blood moon pack. I know he hates me but I don't think he hates me to the point of giving up on our son.
The ride took a few hours but I finally arrived at the pack mansion and getting out of the car I went straight for the entrance door.
I barged into the building and saw the betas gathered in the first floor. There was music, and decorations, and everyone's attention was on the entertainment that they didn't realize I walked in.
I didn't believe that my pack would be celebrating while I was missing. A pack I did everything to please didn't even care to know why I left. Perhaps I was only fooling myself to think that they cared about me.
If they regarded me as Luna then they would have sent out a patrol to look for me. What kind of pack will be this cruel to their Luna? I thought in grief. I looked around in case I would find my mate Alpha Derek among them but he wasn't there so I used the elevator to our apartment on the last floor.
My eyes shrank in bitterness when I walked inside our apartment and found him in the living room. He was sitting on a sofa chair and sipping from the glass he held. His pretty eyes sparked, and a smile was on the corner of his lips like something great had happened to him.
“How can you do this to me?” I walked up to him and he looked at me. “How can you hold a ceremony in such a time as this?” I asked in tears while looking into the eyes of the man I had loved all my life.
“Did what we had together not mean anything to you? What exactly did I do wrong to deserve being treated like this?” I asked soberly. “Derek, answer me.” I said and he tilted his eyebrows.
“What is this?” He scoffed. “Who are you and how did you get inside here?” His question hit me like a lightning bolt and I froze. “Are you trying to seduce me?” He asked gently placing his glass of wine on the table beside him.
“Guards,” he yelled. “Guards, come and take this filth out of my sight,” he called out and the tears I had been holding back poured out of my eyes.
My heart ached like it was being torn in two. I wiped the tears off my eyes and looked at him again. “It's fine for you to hate me, and even despise me, but our son is in danger and he needs our help. He is held captive by a pack, but if you send some betas, they will be able to get him back,” I said and he frowned.
“Lady, listen to me. I don't know who you are or the nonsense you are saying so it's better you leave now or I will ask my betas to throw you out.”
“Derek what are you saying?” I asked with tears rolling down my eyes. “Benjamin will suffer if you don't help him. Please you have to do something,” I said and immediately two betas walked inside the hall.
“Derek, please. Benjamin is your only heir,” I pleaded but he ignored me as he looked at the betas.
“What are you waiting for? Get her out of my sight,” he ordered.
