Tears shimmered in my eyes as I looked into the eyes of my mate. I know he hates me but he cannot turn a blind eye to his own son.
“Don't touch me,” I said to the betas and then fell on my knees before my mate. “Derek please. Benjamin is the future of the Wells pack so I am begging you to save him, please,” I said but his eyebrows tilted even more.
“I only have one lover, Beatrice, and she will be here anytime soon, so It's better you leave,” His words hit me like a lightning bolt. I studied his eyes carefully. I hope he was joking but he wasn't.
What does he mean by another lover, and how can it be Beatrice? The Same Beatrice that helped me escape was cheating with my mate. That cannot be true. I thought still in tears as the door opened and Beatrice walked in.
