'After' The Storm.

"Things seem to calm down after the storm and they relax for a while but...Is it really over and most importantly... Is he lying?"

~about one hour later, hospital~

Alena’s pov

“Are you sure you are alright?” I ask Cora again and she nods sighing in frustration.

I am worried, she just gave blood, she came back to us and I can see how tired she is! She needs to rest!

“Aunt, I am fine, really! I will go to take a bath and lay down a bit with Ivan in his room here.” she says to me with a tired expression and then turns to Sebastian that hasn’t left till now.

He also wanted to make sure that she is alright and no matter how many times I told him to go and sleep he denied, he waited here but now there is no way Cora allows him to stay.

My little rose is acting like the mature woman I know she is but this time she is holding the whole weight on her shoulders! She wants to be sure that all of us are going to be alright and she doesn’t care about herself…

“She grew up very much…” my lycan whispers emotional and I nod.

You tell me?

Some years ago she was scared of everything and now she is afraid of nothing and nobody! She is going to make an amazing Queen, she will be better than me and this is making me the proudest aunt-mother there is!

“And you, father, go and sleep, now! I won’t repeat myself!” she states firmly and Ivan shakes his head in agreement.

“Yes Sebastian! I am going to be with her, she is going to eat and rest, I assure you!” he says and Sebastian gives me a worried look waiting for my reaction.

He needs more than anyone else to take care of himself, I have to admit that he has been everyone’s rock these last three, almost four days and I have no words to express how I feel about it!

Some days ago I hated him till death and now… I feel him like my brother, he has been helping me from the first moment that I and Caleb realized we are mates and he never leaved my side. He is also next to Cora and does anything he can to help her, he proves his love and how much he had regretted so I have softened completely and I don’t feel bad about it!

“I agree with Cora! I am worried about you, we are in a dangerous age you know…” I say teasingly trying to enlighten the mood and he rolls his eyes while Cora and Ivan giggle.

“Thank you for reminding me Alena… I appreciate it a lot so the useless, old man leaves for a while.” He murmurs pretending to be annoyed and kisses Cora’s cheek.

“If you need anything…” he starts.

“We are going to tell you!” I say cutting him off.

“But we won’t so go and try to relax!” Ivan adds and Cora groan’s in approval.

“Whatever…” Sebastian says again, taps Ivan’s back, gives my arm a gently squeeze and walks away leaving me alone with the kids.

“And now you two go, eat and sleep for a while! I will go with Caleb, Leo needs to give some blood’s samples in case Noah needs blood again because you won’t be able to give him again Cora and then he also have to rest, he had a very hard time till now!” I say and Ivan signs in agreement.

“Are the doctors done from Caleb?” she asks worried.

“Yes love! About half an hour ago while you were still inside. He is perfectly fine but the dose they gave him to numb him was too much and he is still unable to move so much. It is going to take him about two days to recover completely!” Ivan replies and she runs her hand through her long, messy hair frustrated.

“At least he is out of danger and they didn’t hurt him so much…” she mutters and I nod.

“Now go! If anything happens we will inform each other.” I state and after they hug me they turn and get in Ivan’s room.

I turn my gaze to the three teams of two guards that are standing outside Ivan, Caleb and Noah’s rooms and all of them bow to me smiling warmly. I walk to the two outside Caleb’s room and tap their shoulders before I get in.

I know all these ‘kids’ since they were babies! I have them like my nephews, their parents were the previous permanent warriors and guards we had and they have never left away from me. They love me and I love them, I took part in their rising as I didn’t have kids.

“Boys, thank you all very much for everything but please take care of yourselves as well! If you need anything please let me know!” I say and the one on my right, Tyler nods and gives me a big, bright smile.

“Don’t mention it aunt Alena, we are here for everything!”

“I know my boy, I know…” I whisper and knock the door typically before I get in Caleb’s room with my heart beating quickly from nervousness.

I am still trying to convince myself that he is safe and sound but I can’t and I feel bad for thinking about rejecting him until some hours ago. He knows nothing about it and I was quite distant, I never told him clearly what I was thinking about and I could have lost him…

“How do you feel?” I ask timidly and obviously feeling awkward and Leo smiles in understanding.

I love this child, he is like Caleb and I know he likes me but he learned about his father and me some hours ago and I don’t know how he feels about it. I mean… I don’t have kids from my first mate but Caleb has and the boys love their mother like crazy, I know it for sure and I am not so certain if they are going to accept me.

And this is officially another problem!

“Come Alena, I am better, I have no problem at all!” Caleb replies immediately and raises his hand a bit (this is the most he can) for me to go next to him.

“How are things with Noah?” he asks me immediately worried as I approach him and take my seat on his left with Leo on his right.

“The operation is done and the doctor said that he is too strong. His condition was quite crucial but Cora gave blood for him and as doctor said this is definitely going to help him because Cora is way too strong as a lycanthrope. Right now I think they are about to finish the blood’s transportation to him.” I explain and both of them sigh heavily relieved.

“Leo…” I continue and pause playing with my fingers.

“The doctors told us that you couldn’t give blood because last day you drank alcohol with Jose and you are still very frustrated and they need you calm in order to give blood if he needs again. They told me to inform you that you have to go and give some blood’s samples. They want to see if there are any alcohol’s levels left.” I say and he nods quickly standing up.

“Thank you Alena, I am going then and…”

“You are going to take some rest or else I won’t talk to you again! I am not a baby!” Caleb interrupts him and I smile as Leo groans annoyed.

“Fine but what if you…”

“I have Alena and she won’t leave me alone for sure!” Caleb cuts him off for once more and Leo shakes his head defeated in the end.

“Alright Alpha, you won! I am going…” he murmurs, leans, kisses Caleb’s forehead and turns to leave but stops before he reaches the door and turns to me.

And this how to make a ‘queen’ like me tremble like a wet cat!

“And I almost forgot!” he states and walks to me quickly leaving me frozen like a statue.

My heart stops beating for some seconds, I start trembling more and my lycan perks her ears as I observe him getting closer and hold my breath one step away from getting panicked.

He is going to tell me he doesn’t want me, right?

“I am very happy for you two ‘step-mom’! In fact, I am excited!” he says and kneels to hug me catching me off guard.

Not that he wouldn’t, I am frozen!

“Really?” I ask breathless as he wraps his arms around me and kisses my cheek.

“Of course! You know I like you very much and… Both of you deserve happiness, you are alone for so many years and you have lots of things in common and…” he replies and pauses pulling a bit pack with a playful expression.

“Now that you will be the former Queen am I going to be like a prince or something?” he asks and I start laughing with Caleb rolling his eyes in desperation.

I can’t believe he likes the idea of his father and me so much and he is also teasing me already but I love it, a weight left from my shoulders!

“I guess you will be… Although you are a werewolf!” I reply and he stands up while clapping his hands.

“See? This is awesome and I am leaving before old Caleb kills me! He wants to stay alone with you but remember that you rock mother-Alena!” he yells excited, kisses me again and storms out of the room laughing.

What was that?

Was it a dream or not?

“He is mesmerized by you…” Caleb says making me snap my head to him surprised and it takes me some seconds to understand what he means and blush.

I move my chair closer to his bed and take his hand in mine avoiding eye contact with me. I am nervous, I want to tell him everything because I don’t want to keep secrets from him from now on and this comment just killed me.

I have years to feel like this…

“Just like his father!” he adds after some seconds in silence and squeezes my hand a bit.

I am dying, this is too much for me, I had never imagined of living something like this again and now I don’t know what to say!

I am acting like a teenage girl again!

“I… Your words are making my heart melt! You have no idea what you make me feel and how scared I was. I almost died in the thought of losing you!” I whisper ready to cry and he clears his throat.

Fuck!

How am I…

“Would you like to tell me something else?” he asks interrupting my thoughts and giving me an opportunity to tell him all these things I want so I nod and stiffen.

I take a deep breath without looking at him and after a while I get sure he is waiting for me to speak so I do my best to maintain my composure and start.

“I was thinking about rejecting you because of Cora and Noah’s past! It’s not that I don’t want you or I don’t love you, I assure you that I wanted you in my life from the very first second, it is just that…”

“You didn’t want to pressure Cora!” he says ending my sentence and I nod sniffling as some tears start building up.

“I already knew it Alena and I understand, you don’t have to worry!” he continues and I lift my head up locking my eyes on his shocked.

“You do? I don’t want to stay away from you anymore, I can’t lose you! I want to be with you and…”

“I know, calm down! I could feel your hesitations and I didn’t want to pressure you! I will never doubt you so don’t worry about a thing anymore! We are together, aren’t we?” he asks smirking and I nod, stand up and hug him tightly.

I sigh and bury my face in his neck. I feel his heartbeat under my chest and my lycan purrs. I start taking his scent with long breaths and relax for good as he kisses my hair softly.

We are together, we are not rejecting each other, we are going to make it and now that I know that Cora, Leo and all the others agree I feel relieved although I want to know Noah’s opinion (look where I have ended up, to be worried about Noah) and also someone else’s reaction…

My father’s!

He won’t like it at all and I am certain!

He wants to kill Sebastian and Noah and he doesn’t like Caleb, Leo and even Owen that is his grandson! The first two are the two persons he hates the most for hurting Cora, Leo and Caleb are just frustrating him for not managing to protect her and Owen…

This is complicated because he is his grandson, his daughter’s only son but at the same time he has also hurt Cora and I know him so well to say that he is fighting with himself for this. He loves and hates Owen and I am worried! If he was here then we would have to keep him away from these five persons to prevent any bad incident!

My father is not playing and he can’t be tamed or controlled! He has it in his blood like me and Cora, he was the King some years ago, it’s in his nature to be strong and stubborn and he can’t control his anger when it comes to the people he loves (especially Cora and me, we are the only persons he has been left with after we lost my mother and sister).

“We can make it Alena! He has to accept some things if he wants all of us happy!” my lycan whispers and I nod unsure.

I tighten my hold around Caleb that caresses my back slightly and kiss his cheek.

We can make it, we have to!

“Caleb…” I whisper timidly.

“Yes?”

“I love you already!”

“And I love you too my queen!”

~some time later, Ivan’s room, hospital~

Cora’s pov

“Come on rose! One more for me! This is the last!” he says and I sigh overwhelmed ready to start crying.

He is unbelievable, I can’t do this anymore!

“Ivan, I am going to throw up! You keep on telling me the same thing but it is never the last one!” I complain and he leaves the plate on the bedside table annoyed.

“Cora, you gave blood and you passed through very stressing moments and incidents! In three days you are going to fight again and I am worried about you!” he says and pulls me in his arms.

And yeap, I am officially clean, I have taken a bath and I put on clean sport clothes!

I already feel a whole new person and much calmer than before, a part of my tiredness has left me and my muscles are not tensed!

“I understand it and thank you baby but I have already eaten, I drank the orange juice as the doctor told me and I am fine! I just want to lie down for a while and read the messages in Noah’s phone!” I mutter and he groans remembering about it.

He took mine and Noah’s phones because I had to go to give blood and then take a bath and I am impressed he hasn’t read them yet with my dad and aunt while they were waiting.

“Alright, look!” he states and I roll my eyes already knowing what he is going to say.

“We are reading the messages but then we take a quick nap and when we wake up you eat again!”

“Ivan!” I protest slapping his arm playfully and he tightens his hold around me and kisses my forehead.

“I am telling you, I am perfectly fine!” I mutter but he doesn’t seem willing to step back.

“You would have done twice the things I do if you were in my place and you know it love! Just say yes!” he states and I chuckle wickedly.

“I said the big ‘yes’ in something else as well…” I whisper and move closer to him with nozzle.

Do you believe it?

He told me he wants us to get married and I agreed at the most dramatic and crucial moment there is and I have no idea what I have done to deserve such a crazy proposal!

I mean, my entire life is a joke and drama at the same time, there is nothing normal but I am happy we are going to get married and he wants me as much as I want him!

“You won’t change your mind, right?” he asks me teasingly and I laugh.

“No, will you?”

“Never but I want many kids as well!” he replies and this time kisses my nose sending chills all over my body.

I smile emotional and wrap my hands around his neck. I look deeply into his light green eyes while caressing his hair and back side of neck, he leans to me and touches his forehead on mine. I close my eyes and exhale right on his half opened mouth and my skin shivers while he rubs his nose on mine.

This is what I always wanted and I found it!

I finally have a man that loves me and doesn’t leave me doubting, a man that knows what I need and is standing by my side and this man is the one I wanted from the first moment I saw him!

I still remember that day and it is hard to believe that he loves me right back and after so bad moments and five years of fighting all the time we are together!

“I love you very, very much! You are the man of my dreams, my dream!” I whisper and smile lost in his gorgeous eyes.

“And you are the light in my life! Without you I…” he starts but a loud, quick knock at the door makes him stop.

What the hell?

“Cora, Ivan!” Leo screams and breaks into the room the following second panicked.

We jump up and my heart stops beating for a while, I look at Leo terrified and he sighs trembling.

This is not good, it’s Noah, I am sure!

“What happened? Noah?” Ivan asks him immediately and he nods.

“He woke up but he is screaming and fighting to get up and get rid of the bandages!” he explains and I turn to Ivan that seems more shocked than me.

“f**k!” I scream breathless and Leo turns and runs out with Ivan and me behind him.

Is this man for real?

He has thankfully woken up, he has to be out of danger and he wants to do what now?

Kill himself?

We out of the room and we rush to his room that is three doors away from Ivan’s and we get in to find him screaming and pushing back two doctors and one nurse.

I don’t know how he is doing it, he should have been weak but he has nothing to do with it, he is like a wild lion in the cage and he is shaking, his skin is red, his wounds that had began healing could possibly open again and the last thing we want is him bleeding.

“NOAH ENOUGH!” Leo shouts and storms to help the doctors and stop him.

“What the hell happened? Cor…” he roars but stops when his eyes land on me and sighs heavily.

He was about to ask about me?!

“Cora?! You are alright!” he exclaims still shocked and I nod nervously confused.

“He probably woke up and thought that you could have been hurt like him…” Cynthia says thoughtfully and I shake my head blankly.

“Brother lay down!” Leo says bringing me back to reality and he helps him with the doctors but some of his bandages are almost removed and they need to cover his wounds again from the beginning.

“I thought that… What happened?” he asks frustrated and looks straight at me.

“We will tell you everything in a while Alpha. Now we have to check on you and cover your wounds. They will come in after we are done!” one of the doctors says and Leo taps his shoulder ready to leave.

I and Ivan turn around in union with me in a quite shocked condition and walk to the door. I am about to get out when…

“Cora, please stay!” Noah almost cries out and I freeze.

Ivan turns and looks at me with meaning and a soft expression like he is telling me that I have to stay and I bite my lower lip nervously as Leo stops next to me and gives me a begging gaze.

Noah’s tone doesn’t help me either and Cynthia says nothing, she wants to let me decide on my own and this is not good for me.

I give Ivan and Leo a weak, melancholic smile and they get out with the nurse and one doctor behind them. The door closes and I sigh staying alone with the doctor from before and Noah.

I turn again back to him feeling his eyes on me and I walk to his side with a blank expression.

I am happy he is awake already and he seems to be in a good condition although he almost died but this doesn’t mean I am going to be his nurse or allow him to take advantage of his condition in order to approach me again.

This is frustrating me, I mean, I can’t believe him, right?

“Sit Cora…” the doctor tells me softly with a pointing look and I take the seat on Noah’s right in silence.

I try to avoid looking at him as the doctor starts removing all of his bandages and after some seconds that for me is a torture I see Noah raising his hand to me. I am so lost and dizzy that I don’t react and in this way I allow him touch me but when he does I feel a displeasing bad energy as images of how he had been treating me make their appearance and I pull my hand back instinctually or else I will run outside unable to stay here for more but…

Noah gasps, sits up again like a flash and I stand on my feet worried with the doctor staring at Noah with his eyes widely open.

What the f**k now?

“Cora… What…” he whispers breathless and tries to touch me again but I take one step away and avoid it.

“You… Took back your rejection! You…” he continues and I narrow my eyes confused.

“NO! What on earth Noah?”

“I felt them…” he murmurs with his eyes locked on mine and I sigh unable to understand what he means.

“What did you feel? I felt nothing, it wasn’t pleasing!” I yell and it is true.

I felt awful, no sparks, no warmth, no pleasure, nothing!

“I felt…” he starts and exhales shocked.

“The sparks!”

I am back with the 24th chapter with a shocking ending (at first but this is not sure)!

Those that don't trust me, are not very careful or patient will be quick to say lots of things but I am quite devilish so... Who can make a guess and tell me what is happening?

Let's take it slowly now.

Firstly as most of you know there is a new book!
