Cora’s pov

“The sparks!” he repeats again after some seconds and all I can see is red!

I can’t believe him, I f*****g knew it but I was hoping he wouldn’t be so shameless!

I… He is making me feel bad that I saved him, I had thought he would use it now but how is he doing this?

Hasn’t he had enough already?

“Just kill him or give him a lesson to remember! He is trying to take advantage of our kindness, don’t you see it?” Cynthia screams and I nod.

She is right, I had enough and it is time for him to respect some things!

“Listen to me you f*****g liar asshole!” I scream and take one big step, reach him and grab him from his neck.

“Cora!” the doctor shouts panicked trying to separate us and Noah gasps with no resistance.

I am done!

I have lost any sign of patience I had till some seconds ago! My anger was never in so high levels, I am shaking so much like I have spasms and I can’t breathe, I feel like burning!

“This is how you thank me? I saved your life and you are lying now!?” I roar outraged and shake him not caring about his condition with the doctor trying to push me back.

“I f*****g hate you! You ruined my life so many times but you keep on wanting more! I HATE YOU!” I continue and the door opens with Ivan, Leo and the two guards of mine breaking into the room panicked.

“I…” Noah starts but I tighten my hold.

“YOU NOTHING! SHUT UP!”

“Cora, what the hell?” Ivan shouts and rushes to pull me back with the guards while Leo takes the doctor’s side and tries to help Noah breathe.

“Let me kill him! The f*****g liar!” I scream as they are pulling me away and I fight to get free.

“What happened? What did he do?” Leo asks dizzy.

“He lied, again!” I roar pushing away one of the guards.

I am not going to tell them what happened, I mustn’t!

Fuck! f**k! f**k!

“Cora, calm down!” Ivan says worried as I am still fighting and I am about to run out of oxygen.

I am acting like a maniac but how the hell can I be calm?

Do you know what?

I feel like an i***t for doing all these things for him because he is ungrateful and I can’t accept it!

Okay Cora! You have to stay alone with him!

Tell him everything you want in private! Ivan is going to kill him and you can’t frustrate him for any reason because Noah is a b***h! Leo is also going to feel awful, he has passed through a lot today, the last thing they all need is to know about his lie.

I take a deep breath and stop struggling in Ivan’s arms. I lock my eyes on Noah that has turned pale, tries to breathe and says nothing and I close them doing my best to clear my mind from everything.

Alright, I can do it!

He won’t die today!

“I am calm now, let me go!” I murmur making amends to seem no nervous and Ivan sighs heavily.

For a while he doesn’t move, he doesn’t free me and I open my eyes relaxing my body under his hold.

Leo exhales relieved, Noah lays down again and the doctor smiles weakly pleased that Noah’s wounds haven’t opened.

See? The bastard is way too lucky! He has no problem at all and some time ago he was fighting to live!

“Ivan, let her! She is calm now!” one of the guards says and I feel Ivan softening his hold around me.

He finally frees me for good and takes my side worried. He is staring at me in the eyes but I avoid looking at him. He is going to understand that something is way too wrong and I don’t want to, at least not now!

I am not planning to hide anything from him, I have said that I want no shadows between us and I meant it! I will tell him later when we are alone and calmer.

“I want you all out now! Only the doctor will stay but not for too long! I need to talk to Noah!” I state and stiffen a bit under Ivan’s suspicious look while Leo seems too confused.

I don’t blame him, it was a long day for everyone, he needs to sleep and calm down in order to think clearly or to say it better smartly.

“Are you sure?” Ivan asks me not very willing to leave and I nod.

The two guards understand my tone, give me a weak smiling shaking their heads in submission and get out first and then Leo walks to me and taps my back. From his look I guess he is thinking of something but he is not sure and respects my wish. He heads to the door some seconds later but Ivan doesn’t walk away, he stays next to me.

“Are you sure you are okay rose? Don’t you want me to stay?” he asks me through our link and takes my hand in his.

I turn my back to Noah and stand in front of Ivan. I close my eyes smiling emotionally and nod forcing myself not to cry. Everything is more intense from last night and…

Fuck!

“I am baby! Go and rest, I will tell you everything tonight in our room! You are leaving hospital in some hours anyway!” I reply and squeeze his hand.

I open my eyes slowly and find him with a soft, sweet expression full of understanding and adoration on his face and Cynthia purrs like nothing has happened with Noah. He nods after some time of looking each other in the eyes and turns to leave in silence.

I observe him walking to the door and then getting out and my heart skips a beat, I already miss him, I need him, for now and forever!

I thought that this kind of things happens only in the fairytales but I guess this is my fairytale and it happened and this is all that matters me!

I take one deep breath and turn around to face Noah that is lying on the bed pale and nervous. The doctor is already covering his wounds from the beginning and he is very fast I have to admit! Soon he is going to leave us alone and I am glad he knows and I have him on my side.

He had warned me about everything or better he had informed me because when I stayed alone with him I told him my or better our story with Noah (and Ivan because… something has happened) and he explained to me some things that would happen. And when he did I understood everything, the pieces matched perfectly and I just knew that we could reach at this point because I know Noah better than anyone.

“And now let’s make some things clear because the doctor can confirm everything if you doubt me!” I state coldly and walk back to the chair close to his bed.

I sit quickly and cross my hands in front of my chest with my eyes locked on his as he has turned his head to me with a nervous expression. He quickly lowers his head probably ashamed and I smirk.

How pathetic, damn it!

“There is no bond between us and it is never going to come back again!” I start and he gives me a quick, confused look.

“But I felt…”

“It had nothing to do with sparks and stop lying because this time I am going to kill you and no one is going to stop me!” I cut him off and he stiffens under my firm gaze with the doctor looking at me with meaning.

“You just felt a pleasant sensation because some of my blood is running in your veins!” I say quickly and he almost jumps up surprised.

Wow! He wasn’t expecting it and he is not acting now!

“You did what?” he exclaims trying to sit up but the doctor stops him.

“Her Majesty was there when your car exploded! Someone is trying to kill you, they had kidnapped your father but we don’t know who! Everything was a trap!” he explains and Noah gasps terrified when Caleb is mentioned.

“He is here and he is fine, relax!” I say preventing him from freaking out and he exhales with a painful expression.

His wounds are still hurting him and he has to take it slowly…

“I want you to forget about all these now! We will talk all together once you get better, we have to find out what is happening but later! Now we are talking about ‘us’!” I state and he nods a bit confused and speechless.

I am happy he is not protesting and he is obedient! Good because otherwise I would have kicked his ass, I have run out of patience!

“As the doctor said I was there when the car exploded, I brought you here! You were in operation for hours and when it was done the doctor told us that you needed blood! Leo was in no condition to give you, Camilla has no relation with you, Caleb had been drugged so he couldn’t give you and after I explained everything about us he told me that my blood could help you!” I continue and he opens his eyes widely shocked.

“And it did, look at you!” the doctor commends and I nod raising my eyebrows.

“And this is why I feel like this?” he asks troubled and I shake my head in agreement again.

“This is going to last only for some hours! Also your feelings for her might make you feel it more intense but this is soon going to stop! Her Majesty is a lycanthrope and not any lycanthrope, she is going to be the Queen, she is stronger than anyone and this is why her blood makes you feel different! If a werewolf had given blood to you then you would have realized nothing!” the doctor explains and I sigh observing him shaking his head lost.

Look how disappointed he is!

His eyes are not shining anymore, he is sweating, he is one step away from crying and I can’t believe I am doing this!

“If you have any doubt then we can ask from the doctor to run some tests on us that will convince you about everything!” I speak up harshly knowing he is going to think of it and he turns to me again narrowing his eyes.

See? I told you!

“What tests?” he ask breathless and I feel my eyes getting darker from anger.

“We will be in different rooms, they are going to check your blood’s pressure and I will harm myself to be in pain! If you feel it then your blood’s pressure is going to get increased! The more pain I feel the more you also feel and…”

“NO!” he cuts me off immediately stiffening nervously and lowers his head defeated.

I look at the doctor discreetly, he smirks at me with meaning and then takes one step back and clears his throat, he is done, he can leave…

“I am leaving you alone as Her Majesty wants! Everything is perfectly fine Alpha, we will check on you better once Her Majesty leaves you alone!” he says and Noah nods shortly.

Some seconds later the doctor closes the door behind him leaving us alone and I stand up slowly without taking my eyes from Noah that tries to lift his head and look at me but something holds him back.

I walk to the end of his bed right opposite of him, place my hands on the bed railing and clear my throat to make him look at me.

He takes a short breath and lifts his head, his dark green eyes meet mine and I shake my head pleased. He doesn’t talk, he knows that this is my turn to speak and it is probably going to be the last one and I am glad he feels bad because believe me this is why he is not trying to protest and excuse himself.

He knows I won’t accept anything else from him…

“Alright, listen to me carefully and if you have any sign of consciousness just do as I say for once because I am tired and disgusted with the entire thing with us!” I start and he signs for me to continue.

“I didn’t want you to die, I was worried, I was scared, I wanted to help you and I was right outside the operation room for hours waiting for good news for you, I gave blood because the last thing I want for you is to die but enough is enough! I want you safe and sound, you are a part of my past and my son’s father but we are never going to be together! Stop trying to make me come back because the only thing you are doing is me more disgusted!” I say and he sits up slowly lowering his gaze.

He raises his hand slowly because he is in pain, runs it though his hair and exhales in desperation while I keep on being calm and cold, I feel nothing, no sympathy, no pain, no regret!

“But I felt…”

“Warmth but not sparks and you decided to lie without asking! And don’t try to tell me more excuses, it is pointless!” I interrupt him and he shakes his head defeated.

“I want you to respect my wish and the fact that there is no bond between us, there is never going to be! If you have any sign of shame then stop trying to win me back! We are not mates, you had your f*****g chances and you decided to leave them all!” I continue with complaint.

“But how are you so sure that we are over? So many mates…” he starts and pauses running out of oxygen with an expression that reveals pain.

“Noah…” I mutter and take one step back leaving my head fall back and I lock my eyes on the ceiling.

He needs to know to stop having hopes! I wanted Ivan to know first or anyone else than Noah but…

This is the right thing to do! He is leaving no choice and I have no problem to admit it, in fact I am happy, proud and I feel blessed for it!

It still feels like a dream when I am thinking of it but I know it’s true and the only thing I wanted!

My wish came true without me asking it!

“I know we won’t be mates again and the bond is dead for good like it never existed because…” I start and look at him again to find him with tears blurring his vision.

He is already broken and he will be crushed once I tell him but this is the truth! He has to know…

“I… Well, I told the doctor something and he assured me about it, it’s rare but it can happen and it has to do only with the strongest of the species…” I continue and he stiffens troubled.

“I don’t understand…”

“Ivan… Told me he wants us to get married last night… And…” I continue and pause.

I take one deep breath and I bite my lower lip nervously. Cynthia is asking from me to tell him and don’t keep him waiting and I agree but it feels awkward to tell him something like this because it has to do with me and someone else.

“My heart had chosen to break our bond before I turned 18 and it happened when I did and now… She chose someone else, I woke up this morning and… I felt it!”

“You felt what? I don’t understand!” he says breathless trembling.

“Noah…” I whisper and gain my full strength with Cynthia howling proudly.

“I felt the sparks with him! Ivan is my mate, for now and forever!”
