Dear Journal, My heart is breaking.   You see, right after we landed we got word that Aunt Denise had died from an auto accident, some drunken human killed her and himself.  The scumbag is lucky he died too or there would have been an entire pack plus some tearing him limb from limb in the hospital.  Since we fly into Grandpa’s pack airport, he hopped on board my plane while it was refueling.  Uncle Trevor and Aunt Charlie came on too, but my cousins stayed behind since they didn’t know her as well as the rest of us.  I haven’t been able to fully process all the information I was able to gather about my Lycan and then this happens to push it back further in order of importance.  Instead of dropping off my Royal guards and heading home, now I have passengers and we are headed to White Moon for the funeral.  Dad’s already in the air with Mom and my siblings from Full Moon, and Mom is really so distraught.  I am as well, so Uncle Trevor will be flying us while I cry on Grandpa’s chest.  I desperately need to consult Grandpa on what I found, but I now that Uncle Edward needs him more.  Since his mate died in a senseless accident and Grandpa knows what it’s like to lose a mate.  The time was late when we landed and we were taken to our rooms as soon as we got to the Palace.  I curled up in Aunt Charlie’s mind to comfort her and Leeny as best I could, while Lynn 2.0 took control of my body and headed to the morgue to find Aunt Denise’s body to verify there was 0% brain activity.  They had her in the basement of the clinic since it just happened less than 12 hours ago, she was supposed to go to the funeral home the next morning to be embalmed.  My 2.0 howled inside at the way her face was smashed up and the fact her brain was completely dormant.  Without conscious thought of what we were doing, I was pulled back from Aunt Charlie’s mind and we began to try to heal her body so that at least Uncle Edward wouldn’t have to remember her like this.  I shifted into Lynn and then 2.0 took over and shifted us into Lycan form.  We placed a paw on her head and the other on her chest and concentrated on making her face whole again.  As we watched the injuries disappeared and her continence returned to the sweet expression she always had.  Suddenly, not knowing why, I began to howl as loud as I could and soon in the distance others joined me and I realized it was everyone who had loved Aunt Denise.  Her mate, her pups and her pack, friends, and family helped form chorus of howling.  As quickly as I started I stopped because I noticed something – she was moving.  Oh, My Goddess, she was alive and I could feel through her the mating bond reconnecting to Uncle Edward, who shifted and was headed toward us.  I quickly duel shifted back to human form and less than 2 minutes later he came rushing in the room.  At first, his eyes were locked on her, as she began to blink and tried to sit-up, but his attention shifted to me when I moved to help her.
