Sadie’s POV
“I know about my sister.” I blurted out to my mother as soon as i pushed open the door to the lounge where she was busy lost in yet another one of her books.
“What are you talking about, darling?” She tried to pretend that she was unaware of what I was talking about.
“I have just seen her. My twin sister. My mirror reflection.” I was so full of sarcasm that I did not realise my voice was raised so loud until my father came storming in to see what all of the commotion was about.
“What is going on?” He demanded to know with a fed up look on his face.
I did not care about how fed up they were.
They had lied to me.
“Sadie, do not be ridiculous. This is absurd.” My father started to say but I was no longer listening since I pushed my way passed them both and slammed the front door behind me.
I would go and face her myself.
They would regret lying to me.
I looked at my watch and grunted. It was still going to be hours before Anaya would be finished at school.
I needed to see her.
This sister of mine and I needed to talk.
We both needed answers.
I turned around when all a sudden I was almost knocked over by a whoosh of some i***t flying by me on a bicycle.
What the heck?
“Watch out muppet.” The voice called.
Lennie.
“What are you doing here?” I wanted to know. But was not sure he heard me since he carried on down the gravel driveway.
“Your sister. Saskia. She’s my mate!” The words spilled out of his mouth forcing me to freeze paralysed to the spot.
Did I hear that right?
“You saw her again? Where is she? Where is Anaya?” I needed to know but Lennie was not being very cooperative and I was beginning to feel quite frustrated.
He shrugged his shoulders like he did not want to discuss it with me at all.
My sister was his mate.
Anaya’s heart must be shattered into a million pieces.
“Is Anaya ok?” I was shocked by knowing he was mates with my own sister. The sister that I had not even met yet.
His eyes glazed over and I knew then that he wa mind linking with someone.
“Alpha is coming. He wants to talk to us both.” Lennie revealed and I sighed. I knew that I would be in trouble for this.
My parents did not want anyone to know about my powers but it was all going to come out eventually.
“She can’t be your mate.” I could not get my head around the fact but he was adamant that it was true.
No tricks!
“I need to see her!” I whispered to Lennie as the Alpha approached the pair of us.
“Alpha.” I bowed to him showing my respect and he nodded in response.
“I hear that you think that you have a sister?” Alpha said with eyebrows raised and huge, muscly arms over his chest.
Lennie must have told him.
I threw him a look and he shrugged again. He seemed to do that a lot when he knew he had no answer.
“I think that you better come to the office.” Alpha said calmly.
