Sadie’s POV
The alarm was going crazy.. what in the name of the moon goddess was happening out there?
We had the best security and were the strongest pack around. Alpha Morgan and Luna Lara were great leaders so hearing the pack alarm sounding was probably not a good thing.
I could not even sense what was happening and I'm usually good at that sort of thing.
I looked at Saskia and realised that this must be so weird for her. She had not lived a life like mine and clearly did not understand what we were about.
I thought it was best to get Saskia and disappear out of sight while nobody was watching.
Lennie had finally taken his prying eyes off of her and I took the opportunity to snatch her away.
“Wait, where are we going?” she had one finger in her ear as we ran through the crowd of panicking pack members.
“Out of here!” I told her over the loud screams and crying that surrounded us.
There was so many of our pack warriors out all around the pack grounds and looked like they were fighting some rogues.
My first thought was to get Saskia the hell out of there.
I decided that my favourite spot by the lake was probably the safest.
We were almost at my spot when a figure to the right of us jumped out from behind a big tree causing me and Saskia to gasp in unison.
He looked around fifty to sixty years old, with a grey beard and long hair pulled into a ponytail. Dressed in dark clothing which had made it difficult to spot him.
“You!” the strange figure snarled, pointing right at me and Saskia like we were to blame for something that we had no clue about.
“Who even are you?” Saskia yelled pulling me away so that she could defend us both but I knew she was not as strong as me.
“You are those two lost lycan sisters that were hidden away. Now I have you, there will be no escape.” the man smirked and his eyes glistened with excitement as he could not believe his luck.
Lycan sisters?
Was he off his head?
I wasn't going to hang about and find out, I shouted at Saskia to leg it and we both ran further into the darkened woods.
