Chapter 4

ZEUS POV I exited her glasshouse leaving her flushed and spent after having her c*m hard on my fingers. My wolf couldn’t stop the happy dance knowing that our destined mate has finally come of age. She had no clue that I knew everything about her. That I had been keeping an eye on her since she was a little pup, that I sometimes appeared as a stranger in front of her, anywhere, that I’d spent nights watching her sleep. I recalled the first time she shifted. The memory flooded my mind as clear as a day. She was just 4 years old, yet she was able to call to nature. And when she got to all fours and began growling, her little mewls cocooned my heart like a glove. And then she shifted, without breaking a sweat. Her wolf was bigger than life itself. A ball of snow white fur with streaks of light illuminating her silhouette. There was a ring of light around her head, a halo. Because she was sent by Moon Goddess to bring me balance. Her roar rumbled deep and shook every core of my being. Right there and then, I knew Athena’s prophecy, was real. She was mine. I had spent over 1800 years wandering the earth alone, killing and murdering people for fun, because I had no one to share my problems with. I conquered the weak, and made the strong bow their heads before me. I was the strongest Alpha of all the times and had countless human blood pets. But none of my power or wealth brought me happiness. There was always this void feeling, this emptiness inside me that was just there, gnawing me day and night. And then this other day when I was getting ready to raid one of the northern packs, Athena, my advisor and seer, gave me the most wonderful news I’d ever had in all my life. That there will be a pup, born of two true alphas, who shall be my mate. The small wolf will be an alpha, and most importantly, a goddess. After hearing the news, I was so happy that I even canceled the battle. I imagined how life would be when she was with me, how I would wake up in the morning and find her sleeping besides me. Then without any hesitation, I sent out spies to every pack in the world. I made sure I had ears and eyes everywhere, so that when she was finally born, I meet her. Melina, one of the human spies I planted in packs, informed me about the birth of Gaia, of Jukon Pack. The following night after she was born, I teleported to her castle, into her room. There I found a tiny pup with a unique hair color. Thick curls of natural platinum blonde hair. I drew my hand closer to her tiny palm, her finger wrapped around my finger and electricity sizzled through my veins. Our bond was formed that night. Since then, I couldn’t stop myself from visiting her. And so I did. Some nights I would stay besides her crib and just watch over her until dawn. I shook my head clearing the thoughts of her and concentrated on the mission at hand. I waited in the shadows until Alpha Dante excused himself from the group of men who were chatting excitedly. I followed him out to a secluded terrace where I forcefully yanked his body and pressed him against the wall. I placed my palm on his mouth to muffle his screams. He tried to shove me off him. He was strong, I’d give him that. But he was not a match for a 1800 year old werewolf-vampire. I let my wolf merge with my vampirism, which changed my eyes from red and black, to red and gold. My fangs extended and I let a slow growl rumble deep in my chest. Realization hit him hard, causing his eyes to dilate. Fear crippled through his body and I could've sworn he nearly wetted his pants. I heard his wolf whimpering, submitting to me. I slowly let go of him and took a few steps back. Without being told, he dropped to his knees and worshipped me. “Alpha Zeus!” he called with a low humble voice. “Rise up Alpha Dante. I am just here to talk!” I commanded and he quickly obliged. “I am greatly humbled by your presence on Gaia’s coronation and birthday. It is truly a blessing to have you among us.” He awkwardly rubbed the insides of his palms. “No need for the pleasantries. I am here to take Gaia with me. She is my mate!” I stated boldly, leaving no room for discussions. Words seemed to fail him as all sorts of emotions ran through him. He opened his mouth to say something but closed it. Only to open it again and just leave it hanging. I watched him, unfazed. Waiting for him to say something. After a good minute, he stuttered: “H-how…Wh...How is that possible? Gaia can’t be… I mean Gaia hasn’t met her mate yet but I am sure it is not you. Alpha Zeus I think you are mistaken. She can't be a mate to the powerful alpha. She's just a low ranking she-wolf and nothing of importance.” He mumbled his response, shifting uncomfortably. I chuckled lightly and took a step to the left. “I can assure you that I am not. Alpha Gaia, born of two true Alphas of Jukon Pack on the night of Moon Festival is my mate. And you Alpha Dante are going to hand her to me. Tonight!” I turned my head to look at him. He was literally shivering. His eyes were snapped so wide that I was afraid they might pop out of their sockets and fall in front of him. “But…if you take her, what will happen to Jukon Pack? She is bestowed to ascend the throne as the Alpha. She just can’t leave her pack.” Reluctance and impatience dripped out his words. I walked towards him and stood right in front of him. I was taller than him, thus he looked up to stare me in the eye. “Here is the thing Dante. If you do not hand Gaia to me before dawn, I will have you watch me rip the throats of each and every one of your pack members. Men and women, old and young, human or wolf. Then I will fill a tub with their blood and have you soaked in it before crucifying you and letting you die a very slow, painful, death. But before that, I will have you watch me drag Gaia to Kratos with me. She is mine, in more ways than yours. She is my mate. And you sure as hell have no right to deny me from taking my mate with me. Now choose Dante! Gaia or Jukon Pack?” he swallowed audibly. He took a good minute before letting out a troubled sigh. He hung his head between his shoulders and said: “You may have Gaia Alpha Zeus!” I couldn’t help the grin that broke on my face. I roughly clapped his back. “Good choice Dante!” with that, I turned back to leave. His words stopped me mid-step. “Take care of her. Please!” he pleaded in a small very defeated voice. “Oh that I will alpha Dante. That I will!” "Are you taking her tonight?" he asked with a trembling voice. I looked at him to find him staring me with pleading eyes. hoping that maybe I would say no. I may be an immortal but my heart of steel was still a heart. and i wouldn't take her on the night of her coronation. "No no. Not tonight. But soon. Very very soon!"
