Chapter 14

Beatrice's PoV "I'm not mistaken; I can smell something!" My heart was pounding, and I couldn't decide whether to scream or run away on my own. "It's down here at the table. Do you think it's the boss meal? So he hides it here?" I left the table and took the pen on the table after hearing them say that. "Keep your distance from me!" They were surprised and smiled as I sighed. "Fresh blood, fresh meat," they said, and I dashed over to the window, opening it. I leaped to my feet and landed in a bag of blood. "Beatrice?!" I heard George's voice, but I looked down at my bloodied hand, and I thought he was selling vegetables and food? "Are you all right, Beatrice?" George picked me up and carried me away from where I had fallen. "I'm not sure what to say, but this is human blood," I said, and my head ached as if someone was trying to remind me, but I couldn't see it in my mind. "Who was it that did this to her?" I held George's hand as he said this. "I'm fine; I just ran away so they wouldn't hurt me," I said to George as the two of his employee approached. "It's our fault, boss; we scared her and thought this mortal wasn't important to you," said the man who smirked at me before George strangled him. "Are you all right, Beatrice?" a man in a suit said to me, looking like the second caretaker in this market. "I'm fine, I'm not sure why I jumped, but it says in my mind that's how I ran away when someone was chasing me," I told him, seeing how George killed his employee. "You are truly a royal prince, Mr. Leopold," the man said, and the women with him followed him. "Thank you for purchasing our product; I'll see you again," George said as we walked away, and he approached me and held my hand. We went out, and I heard George laugh. What's so funny about that? "What's funny, George?" When I asked him, he turned around. "Do you recall everything? Do you recall me?" I shook my head when George asked. "I just jumped because thought said it, and I'm not sure why I thought that," I explained, and George was taken aback. "Because you are Caroline in the past, her soul is in your body," George explained, and I snorted because the smell of blood all over my body bothered me. "Would you mind cleaning me?" When I asked George, he smiled. I was surprised when George took my hand and turned me around because my entire body was clean again. He opened the door, and I went inside his car. But before he got in the car, George asked the man who had earlier asked me if I was okay and why I had jumped so high. George was being tapped on the shoulder to remind him of something I didn't know. When George got in the car and buckled his seat belt, he began driving; I didn't say anything the entire trip, and he did the same. When we arrived at his house, I removed my seat belt, as did he, and I took what we had purchased in the back seat while he went straight inside. I also went in and placed the bacon and eggs I had purchased on the table, and when I was finished, I brought him the clothes I had chosen for him. I followed him as he climbed up the stairs, and when he suddenly entered his room, I came to a halt; I couldn't enter because I knew it was forbidden, and he hadn't said anything about it. "So, what are you waiting for? Come on in," George said, and I just realized he left the door open. When I went inside, a portrait of a woman appeared in front of me; she was stunning. "This is your wife?" I inquired of George. "Yeah, you're right, she is," George said to me, and I wondered why he was referring to me as his wife. We appear that have different looks. "What does it mean that we'll look different and not alike?" I inquired of George. "Will you believe me when I say something fantasy?" I nodded when George asked. "Yes, I will believe," I said, and George forced me to sit on the bedroom sofa. "I know someone named Adelphia who can see someone's past of vision," George explained. "So she saw my previous life?" I inquired, and George nodded "Then Caroline's soul on me?" I inquired once more. "Yes, you're correct, but it's okay if you don't remember me because I know it's doubtful that you'll love me again in your second life," George said, and I could tell he was sad. "Just like I told you, I'll do anything just to remember you and anyone else I can think of," I said to George, raising his head because he was looking down. "I believe I'm sorry for killing two vampires because I thought they were going to hurt you, but they just scared you," George explained. "They're vampires, and I know they smell me because I'm mortal, let alone you can't bring those two back to life," I explained to George. "You're right; I'll just apologize to their families and tell them what they did," George explained. "I'll put the bacon and eggs in the fridge we bought first," I told George as I stood up, but he grabbed my hand. "Do that later. Don't you want to talk to me? Maybe you'll remember something while we were talking," I laughed as George said this to me. "We can talk later because I'm not used to being close like this, I don't know, but I'm embarrassed," I said, averting my gaze. "Why are you embarrassed by me? What if I'm the person you're madly in love with?" I was speechless when George asked. "I just can't understand myself!" I told George, and I quickly let go when he took my hand. My heart was racing so fast that I was caught in my chest as I ran downstairs. My cheeks are also becoming hot; what is wrong with me, and why am I acting this way? Yes, I know George is attractive, and he appeals to a wide range of women. Maybe I'm one of them. I was shaken because that would not happen; I couldn't continue loving him because I was only doing it for the wife he was looking for. I try to remember something, but I really can't remember anything no matter what. When I finished hiding the bacon and egg, I lay down on the sofa and looked at the chandelier without turning on the light, but God will care for me if I fall in love with George. Although there's nothing wrong with falling in love with a vampire, it's still risky because he might suddenly drink my blood. "That won't happen," I was surprised because I heard George's voice and awoke on the sofa. "Sure, it's not going to happen, but what if you want to drink blood? Can you keep your hunger?" When I asked George, he laughed. "Did you know my wife said something about drinking human blood?" I'm not sure what he said to me, and I'm not sure I remember anything. "My wife told me never to hurt innocent people just to drink their blood; all I'll drink is animal blood no matter what," George said, and why am I relieved? "It's just strange that I don't remember you, but my emotions reacted to you; perhaps your wife's soul is in my body, and that's me," I explained, and George smiled. "You are Caroline. I'm not sure why you can't remember everything," George told me, and I didn't say anything. "But I hope you remember right away because I miss you so much, Caroline," George said, and my heart skipped a beat. "I don't know what to do if I lose you again. Maybe I'll kill myself also if I lose you once again," George said, and I put my arms on his shoulder. "I will not be gone; if I made a mistake in my previous life, I will appreciate my second life and think hard!" I told George, and he surprised me by kissing me. Why am I feeling this way? The heat spread throughout my body, but I had to let go because it wasn't right; I let go, and George squeezed my cheek. "It's fine to kiss me. I know you miss me," I said, and George looked at me. I'm not sad because I know George is looking for his wife, not me; we don't look alike, so how can I be Caroline? I stood up and went to my room to change my clothes. What can I prepare later? I was the only one who would eat, and I knew George wouldn't, so I opened my phone and searched for cooking recipes online. Can I place an order in the Panpan food delivery app? George might be mad if someone comes here because he does not want anyone to know his address. I'm not sure what I'm going to do; I'll cook, and then when we talk again, I'll ask him if I can order food online whenever I want. I was hungry a few hours later, I had been on Social Media here before, and there was no noise outside. I walked out of my room and saw George, who had just walked out of his room; we stared at each other, and I was about to return to my room when he abruptly stopped me. "Are you going to cook anything?" George inquired, why is he asking? "Yes, why?" I asked George. "Nothing, eat well," George said strangely as if he just wanted to talk to me. I went downstairs to the kitchen, but I couldn't think of anything to eat. The more I considered George's wife, the more perplexed I became. I pulled out my hair as I closed the fridge and contemplated what I would eat. "Are you all right?" I overheard George asking me a question. "Yeah, I'm fine; I'm not sure what I'm going to eat," I said to George. "You can order," George told me, so why didn't he tell me right away? "All right, I'll just order online, and maybe you want something to eat?" I inquired as to why I had asked. I'm confident he'll respond. "I want chicken nuggets," George told me, and I was surprised. "Are you going to eat? Seriously" I inquired to George. "Yes, why? Is it forbidden? I'm making an effort to change for you," I couldn't believe what George said to me. **
