"You don't look too happy to see me" Said the purple haired girl and Kai had to adjust his expression.
"I... just wasn't expecting you... yet"
The girl's gaze moved towards Sylvia and her eyes narrowed slightly as she asked "Who is she?"
"A temporary guest in the house" It was Damian who replied. As he said this, he kept his gaze on her and Sylvia didn't shy away either. She put a smile on her face as she stepped closer to the girl and stretched her hands.
"I am Sylvia" She introduced and the girl smiled, shaking her hands.
"Dora... Isadora"
They both nodded at each other seeming like they were going to be good friends.
"Okay... We will be on our way. I also brought something to cook for everyone. Be home quickly cause i will be needing your help" Dora said the last part to Kai and he nodded. She wore her helmet again and put her hands around Damian. It didn't take long for the motorcycle to speed past them.
"You two seem close. Who is she?" Sylvia asked Kai who now had a worried look on his face. She wondered why?
"It's complicated. I can't tell you who she is but she's dangerous. It's better to stay away from her"
Dangerous? Sylvia wanted to ask more questions but since he already said he couldn't say her identity, she doubt she would get any information from him.
"I think we should go back"
"That was enough walk" Sylvia agreed and they turned around to head back to the house. They met Gerald in front of the house and it looked like he had something to say to Sylvia so Kai went in first.
"One moment you are the ice queen and the next moment you are so cheerful. What should i think about this?" Asked Gerald thoughtfully.
Sylvia didn't mind him and asked "Is there something?"
"Not much" Gerald shrugged "I just got a bad feeling"
"About what?"
"That guy. The one they call Damian. The way he looks at us feels different. He gives me chills sometimes, don't you feel it?"
Sylvia's eyes narrowed. "What do you mean?"
"I don't know" He shrugged again "I just don't feel good about him and that girl he brought. They have such dark aura's. When he looked at me just now, i felt as if he knew everything. As if he knew what we are"
He might.
If Damian was really Jace and he didn't lose his memory then he definitely knew that they were witches. He definitely could recognize her but he couldn't do anything to her. That doesn't mean he couldn't hurt the others though. Perhaps, that was why he had been so against them staying here for a few more days. She still needed to find out for herself.
Sylvia patted Gerald's shoulder "Just keep your eyes open" She told him and they went inside together.
As they entered inside, the first scene they were met with was a bit surprising. Dora was in the kitchen along with Damian. She held a carrot in front of her and Damian opened his mouth to bite out of it. He smiled and patted her head.
Dora giggled but stopped when she saw the duo at the door.
"Hey!" She waved her hands and beckoned for them to come over. She was smiling so happily that Sylvia wondered what about her was dangerous. So far, she seemed like a sweet person but of course she wasn't that naive to think that it really was the case.
"I was going to ask for Kai's help but Damian offered his first. Would you like to join us?"
He had been so cold towards her but now he was suddenly so sweet to another girl. She wondered what was going on with him or maybe them. Were they in a relationship?
"I will help too" Suddenly a voice sounded from behind her and Sylvia turned around to see Kellen. His eyes were fixed on her for a moment before it moved towards the others. "What? Why are you giving me that look?"
"Nothing. You normally don't sign up for stuffs like this" Said Dora folding her arms.
"Same with Damian. I'm actually wondering if you fed him the puppy pill"
Damian threw him a glare but he didn't mind it and entered the kitchen. Sylvia followed.
It was already a bit crowded so Gerald went inside instead.
Sylvia took the carrots from Dora "I'll do this" She offered. Her eyes met with Damian and she could see that he was angry about something again. She ignored him and started to cut the carrots when she felt someone behind her.
A hand took the knife from her and she looked up to meet those pair of grey eyes. Kellen gave her a smile that seemed a bit fake to her "You could hurt yourself with this" He pushed her gently to the side and started to chop the carrots instead. His movements were fast, amazing her but she was also confused.
Why was he doing this? It felt as if he was caring for her.
The last time she checked, he wanted her out or gone from this world in order to cover up their crime.
"I'll wash this then" Sylvia took the vegetables and headed to the sink but the moments she turned it on, water sprayed on her. It turned out there was a leak. She quickly turned it off but she was already drenched. The situation was quite awkward so she just stood there.
"Oh, be careful" Dora called.
Sylvia's face was already wet and she used her hands to wipe the beads of water away but suddenly, Kellen rushed in front of her with a white towel and started to clean her face without a word.
"When did this start to leak?" Dora came closer to the sink as she inspected it.
"I didn't know about that too" Kellen said, turning to her as he patted down her wet hair. "You will have to change" His voice was soft and Sylvia realized at that moment that he was unusually close that She could almost feel his breath on her. She stepped back in a hurry and that made her slip on the water that was already on the floor.
Oh no... What kind of situation is this? Nothing was going right.
She almost fell but Kellen caught her on time. He didn't just do that though. He clicked his tongue at her situation and the next moment, he was carrying her in his arms.
Sylvia's eyes widened. Question marks popped above her head and her eyes instinctively searched for Damian. He was standing there, watching and for a moment, she thought she saw his eyes glow but he blinked then turned around and left with clenched fists.
