As the witch queen, Sylvia would protect her people from the torment of the Iron Claws, the werewolf who despised Witches with every bone and fibre in him. She swore to destroy him for all the pain he has caused them but what happens when she starts to fall for the enemy? Could she complete her mission or would she chose to abandon her people?
....
Sylvia felt tired. It was already dark and she missed Maria now. Maria would have been able to take of this smoothly even without her but since Gerald was only more in charge of information, he found it a bit difficult. He didn't hesitate to whine about how those old men grilled him with questions. There was an event to prepare and alot more to do. Sylvia just wanted to have a good sleep today and then the next day, she can continue dealing with everything.
She didn't bother turning on the lights when she got inside her room. She started to undress but the moment she took off her dress, she suddenly froze feeling as if someone was watching her. Gosh! She was almost naked!
And then she heard it, a low gutteral growl that made all of her hairs stand on edge. She felt a shiver run through her and quickly took out a cloth from the closet. She put it on her then snapped her fingers to turn the lights on.
The room brightened very soon and she was shocked to see Damian sitting right on her bed. He had a dangerous look on his face, there was a fire dancing in his eyes as he stared at her like that making her suddenly feel hot.
"W-what are you doing here?"
"I have been waiting for you" he slowly stood from his seat as he approached her and she almost felt like a prey "We need to talk" she heard him and of course she knew exactly what they needed to talk about.
Sylvia gulped, straightening her back as she faced him when he stopped in front of her "I don't think there is anything more to discuss. We are still enemies remember?"
A long silence followed, and then he took one more step closer to her.
"But I don't want to be your enemy anymore" his voice sounded more deeper than usual and Sylvia gulped. What did he mean by that?
"I don't want to be someone that you hate" he continued "I don't want to be someone that doesn't matter to you" he got closer to her and Sylvia couldn't help stepping back instinctively.
What was he up to now? He was scaring her with this look in his eyes but why was her heart racing this much. In fear? Nervousness? Or maybe in excitement? Fvck it! She didn't know what she was feeling at the moment.
Sylvia felt him take her hands in his and he placed something cold in them. She looked down to see a dagger with wickedly sharped blades. He closed her palms around the dagger and Sylvia held his gaze with a question in her eyes. What was he trying to do?
He forcefully held the dagger to his neck and Sylvia panicked when the dagger dug into his skin and blood dripped down.
"Are you insane?! Damian, let me go" she tried to force the dagger back but Damian was holding her tightly.
"You said you wanted to kill me" he breathed and Sylvia froze then.
Yes, she wanted to kill him. She wanted to end him so bad but why was she feeling so worried now? Why was she so scared at the thought of him getting hurt?
Damian smirked when he saw her dazed reaction but he used the chance to push the dagger deeper and Sylvia's eyes widened as she used both hands to hold the dagger back.
"Stop it!" she breathed "Stop it, Damian. I'm begging you"
Damian held her gaze and could see the genuine worry in there. He didn't know whether to feel satisfied. "I think we should both stop now" he started "Kill me now and end this because this is the only chance you will get"
It was a tempting offer for her, a chance she knew she would never get but then... Why was she hesitating when the most feared enemy was offering his head like this? Why was she hesitating when he was the one who submitted himself to her mercy?
