Chapter 7 Deal

I am in my deep sleep when somebody screams that woke up suddenly. I'm still disoriented and i don't know what happen.

"Who are you?" Sigaw ng isang babae sa aking harapan. Saka ko narealize ang nangyari kagabi. f**k, kaya pala.

"Why i am here? This is not my room"; tanong niya na may takot na tinig. I can sense what she is implying to coz she looks at her clothes and she’s wearing mine.

"You were drunk last night. I saw you in the road and there were guys coming into you but i sense you are not with them. So i rescue and ask you where i can drop you but you don’t answer me instead you vomit and pass out after. So i decide to bring you here for your safety." Paliwanag ko sa kanya that i don't have intention.

"Don’t worry i don’t touch you if you're thinking of something. I just change your clothes coz it has vomit on it. I ask someone to laundry it for you. I will just ask the laundry room to bring your clothes here."

"Oh i am sorry for bothering you and thanks for taking care of me last night. I am so careless with my action"; hingi niya ng paumanhin. She seems pretty serious and ashamed of what happen.

"No worries, it doesn’t bother me. Wait i will call the laundry service to bring your clothes." I dial the housekeeping.

"Wait, its already morning, would you care to have a breakfast with me? It's nice to have a company" I tried to ask her to prolong her stay with me. I don’t want her to go yet.

"Okay"; ani niya sa nahihiyang boses. I am about to call the room service to bring us food.

"Is there any particular food you want?" Inquire ko sa kanya, maybe she wants something, i can let the chef to cook it for us.

"No, i am fine with anything what is there, i'll have wants your order." Tumango ako coz i have few dish that i want her to try, our best seller here. My resort is one of the best in here, especially our food.

"Patay nasaan na ang phone ko"; she bumbled it low tone but still i can her hear, it’s a Tagalog word.

"Are you a Filipino?" Interested kong tanong at tumingin siya sa akin, nakuha ko ang interest niya. "Because you mumbled Tagalog words while ago."

"You know Tagalog? You understand my language?" Tanong niya pabalik, maybe she thinks i am a foreigner; yeah i do look like one.

"Yeah i am coz i am a Filipino, mix blooded." I see her smiling. She is cute when she smiles. "So taga saan ka sa Pinas" ; tanong ko pa in Tagalog word but in American accent.

"Metro Manila sa may Quezon City ako"; balik niyang sagot. "Ikaw?" Dagdag pa niya.

"Somewhere in Batangas ang roots ng mother ko but i grow up in the US and my resident now is in the US." Komportably kong share sa kanya. "What brings you here? Akala ko Indonesian ka. But though Filipino and Indonesia has similar feature." She nods.

"I’m on vacation"; simpli niyang saad.

"Why Bali, Philippines has lot of beautiful beaches. To be honest mas maganda pa ang sa atin". Bulong ko sa kanya like bawal marinig ng iba rito but no one will understand us. She just laugh out loud, with that napatanga ako coz i see her laughing at last.

"Yeah true but this one is one of my list to go to abroad kaya inuna ko na. Sa Pinas pwede naman anytime gawin kasi nandiyan lang. Madaling puntahan"; napatango nalang ako. Well she has a point.

Our food arrive so with her clothes, kaya kumain na kami.

"Super thank you talaga sa pag-alaga mo sa akin kagabi, kung wala ka baka napahamak na ako sa sinasabi mo na guys." I'm glad she's engaging to me now and di lang kaunti ang sagot katulad kanina.

"No worries it’s my pleasure to be of help. Do you believe that we're destine to meet?" Wika ko sa kanya na nakita ko ang pagkunot ng mukha niya.

"I saw you in Singapore. You look sad that time, gusto ko sana lapitan ka kaya lang ayaw ko naman na magmukhang atribido. In my mind is baka you need help. Then looking at you kagabi, i was shock coz di ko akalain that i will see again." I saw her smile again like she remembers something.

"I recognize you too"; wika niya nagpakunot ng aking noon. Does see me looking at her in the airport of Singapore?

"I saw you this morning in the beach swimming, was there nagpapa-araw sa lounger."

"Ohh really? I guess we’re meant to meet. How long is your stay here?" Tanong ko uli. This is getting exciting.

"Uuwi na ako the day after tomorrow, I only got 1 week leave.

Ohh that’s sad mawawalan ako ng company. How about, since we are both Filipino staying in foreign country and you will just stay here for a day or 2. What if we go and enjoy this trip together para di boring? It’s nice to go somewhere na may kausap"; trying to convince her but i can see her hesitation.

"Hey you can trust me, i have proven that already. We sleep together in one bed for a night and i didn’t touch you". Explain ko sa kanya baka iba ang isipin niya.

"Di naman yun ang ibig kong sabihin"; reason niya sa akin.

"Para di maging awkward sayo, how about, we keep our identity hidden. I will not ask you any question regarding your personal stuff, anything about your life. All we do is enjoying this trip while it last. We will explore like what we plan to do here."

"In this period, we will forget our past, our issue, our life, who we are and what we do. Just pure enjoyment and getting lost in the moment, but just promise that we will be honest in our opinion and what we truly feel, how about that?" I say it while smiling widely at her. "Deal?" Wika ko pa while extending my hands at her for a handshake.

'Deal"; response niya sa akin and shake my hand. Ohh, her hand is soft and warm.

"Okay shot, since we don't know each other's name, how about we use code name. You can call me Reagan from this resort name. What about you? She thinks deeply of her name.

"You can call me Strange"; i see how she smiled after.

"I think i know where that came from, it's from stranger, right?" Tumatawa na siya. I love hearing her laughter. "Okay Ms Stranger do you have any particular place to visit here?"

"Oo marami kaya lang di ko pala napuntahan, I only done roaming the main street here."

"What? You come here but haven’t done anything what you're supposed to do here? Napasimangot siya at tumango. I find her adorable in that little action.

"Okay today we will do all that." So that day, i bring here to places that i have been and some place we only see in the internet and what other people recommend to us. We enjoy the whole day just roaming around, i also rent a motor bike for us to use. It had fun. I see her enjoying as well. She laughs quite often, which i find amazing to look at.

At night i brought her to a night event.

"Wow, nakakaba naman ang ginagawa nila. What if they will be caught on fire?" Inocente niyang tanong while we are watching a live fire dancing event. She is fascinated on the show.

"You haven't watch it before? Philippines has a lot of people performing fire dancing, we are known for that"; share ko sa kanya.

"No, i haven't, this is my first ever trip in my entire life, ni di pa ako nakapagbakasyon sa Pinas."

"Iba ka din huh, your first ever trip is outside the country, wow sosyal"; bigla na nalang natatawa sa akin. "Why?" nagtataka ako why she's laughing at me.

"Because ang cute mo magsalita ng Tagalog eh halata naman na di ka sanay pero pinipilit mo parin, conyo na ang labas mo."

"What's conyo, is that speaking both English and Tagalog at same time? Tumango siya sa akin. I heard the word before but i just can't remember what it means.

"This trip is supposed to be with my friend, kaya lang she back out last minute coz of emergency so i end up alone."

"No worries, i am here now, you will not be alone, sasamahan kita in your whole trip."

I brought her to the disco house, the place is pack with disco goers. I saw her just keep looking around the people and she's holding my arms tight. I can tell that this is not her typical place.

"Is it your first time again to go this kind of places?" She nods again. "Are you comfortable here, coz we can go somewhere?" Suggest ko sa kanya.

"No it's find, i would like to experience this kind of setting. It's time for me to explore right?" I smile at her.

"Yeah, just enjoy the moment, do not restraint yourself, moment like this may not come second time. Every moment has it's own phase and remember our deal."

"I don't want to drink anymore baka i'll end up lasing like kagabi, that was my first ever drinking liquor." saad niya while we are in the bar counter.

"No worries i am here, i can take care of you again. Just had a light shot then we'll go dancing para di tayo agad malasing." I ordered ladies drink for her. After a moment our drinks arrive at our table.

"Bakit masarap to kaysa ininum ko kagabi?" Ani niya as she sips her drinks.

"Maybe your drinking the hard one that's why madali kang tinamaan, there's a secret on it. Just take a sip every now and then. We are here to enjoy. Come here lets dance." I bring her to the dance floor. I sense her uneasiness.

"Paano ba gagawin, di ako marunong sumayaw"; nahihiya niyang bulong sa akin..

"First loosen up, don't think of anything, no one will judge you if you don't know how to dance. Look at them, see they are enjoying"; turo ko sa center where the crowd are dancing wildly."Just sway your body to the rhythm of the music. Come follow me." I started moving my hips. I am not into dancing but i can dance. Disco is our thing when i was in my 20's. Bars and clubs are our getaways place buong barkada.

As the night goes, she is loosening up, we just keep on laughing at wala ng pakialam sa paligid. I dance with her in different music. I can feel how our bodies fit each other, surprisingly i enjoyed being with her. I feel so incredibly light and relaxed.
